After paying for Quarter 3, I was informed by an outside ABA agency that my son's teacher was found sleeping while feeding 12 children with special needs. A student was choking and she had to wake up the teacher. To top it all off I was shown a post of a mother who said her non verbal came home with bruises and marks. When she called the cops they couldn't do nothing because the child was non verbal! Beyond this life-threatening safety issue, the school doesn't follow IEPs which makes them a daycare. They lack basic facilities like a playground. They stopped allowing parents to go to field trips because they lie and tell parents their child did great when they didn't. Despite withdrawing my son immediately due to these hazardous conditions, the owner has refused to issue a refund. This facility prioritizes profit over the safety and developmental needs of children. I would not recommend this school to anyone. If you are looking for a real school that actually supports our children, I highly recommend reaching out to ACCEL (https://www.accel.org/contact-us/). Michelle there is amazing; she discovered that my son's previous IEP didn't even correctly say his autistic!!! After years of being misled, I finally have the support of a behavioral coach and case manager from La Frontera to help me at my next IEP meeting. The grumpy old lady taking care of the babies is still there and she may pop out to snap at a school age child here and there but all other staff has been rotating every month. No staff has stayed longer than a month or two and the kids never know their names. They keep naming someone as director, then they end up disappearing. The last one we were told left because of medical reasons until one day the owner slipped and said the director left with no notice and they were short staffed. They kept our kid in the transport van to his school that was 5 minutes away for almost 2 hours at times. They told the school the driver had no phone to tell them. Unacceptable to be driving with kids and have no phone for emergencies. We didn't even know our kid had been consistently 30-45 minutes late until the school told us of their concern, they said the owner said she told the parents but that was not true, nobody ever told us and when we asked the owner she gave excuses and said it wouldn't happen again. Something about construction 15 miles away. Unfortunately the place is not reliable nor safe for kiddos and we had to leave for a safe place for our foster adopt child. Our child wasn't perfect but he will forever have a scar on his face from the lack of supervision at this place when he got hit in the face from another kid. There are other choices more suited to take care of children properly over this place doing construction to allow more headcount.
