After moving here I haven't found a good massage therapist, but I needed one bad as it helps with my migraines. I'll start with the good first. Leah did a great job. She had great pressure and really got deep into those knots. She recommended adding stones, so I did, which was good, though I don't know if I'd do it again because I don't think it gets deep enough. A couple days later and my migraine has disappeared and hasn't returned. As for the place, it was super clean, cute, and comfortable. Now for the not great. There is no actual waiting room, so after I rang the Ring I waited outside about 10-12 minutes before being let inside. I'm sure it's a safety thing, but I imagine on a poor weather day, this could get miserable. Now for the only reason I didn't give full stars. On their website it says you'll be charged a 20% service charge automatically that won't show on the list price or deposit. Which is fine by me, having friends and family in the beauty and service industry I get it. However, when I went to pay a tip screen pulled up and I skipped it, because of what I had read. She then looked and me and said, "No tip?" I then felt embarrassed and frustrated because even if I wasn't leaving a tip, it's off putting to ask about it, and more importantly I felt like she thought I was rude even though I was just going off the website's information. Due to my embarrassment and uncomfortableness at the end, I probably won't go back. But I am still giving 4 stars because they did a great job and the place is clean. read more

I've been going here every month for the past 7 months, and each time, it has been such a relaxing and pleasant experience! I have gotten Swedish massage from both Cici and Grace, and they are both very sweet, professional, and exceptional! I am usually picky with getting massages and usually even at much more pricey and fancier places, I am not satisfied. But Cici and Grace know exactly what to do with the right amount of pressure to relieve my stress and muscle pains. They always ask where I would like to focus on and if the pressure and the temperature are good, which I appreciate. I need to come back every month! On top of the top notch service, the place is very clean including the bathroom. They also offer and candies and water at the end. I have been recommending this place to all my friends. My partner and I were refunded for our massage and asked to take our reviews down (they did not ask me to edit my review, as they state in there response, they continued to harass my partner with phone calls to the point she had to block their number). It is unethically to delete my review especially when I was injured from the massage. I wish other people kept their review up so I knew this place wasn't safe for me. My partner and I booked a deep tissue 90 minute massage. The massage person did not ask what areas to focus on or if we had previous injuries!! I had 2 hips surgeries and was not expecting to have my hips compressed into my chest (I have FAI and this is one of the worst things you can do!) during a deep tissue massage. My hips are still hurting 4 days later with 9/10 pain the day of the massage and day after. She spent 20 minutes of the deep tissue massage pulling my hair and scratching my head. I was in pain but didn't feel comfortable/was unable to speak to say stop. After that she immediately touched my face with the oil from my hair and the massage getting it on my face! She then spent 20 minutes using her elbow on my upper traps pinching my muscle between her elbow bone and my scapula bone I tried to wiggle away from it but she kept going. She continued to massage other bones like my spine, especially my cervical spine on the spinous processes. I still have bad upper neck and upper traps pain after this. The other 50 minutes of the massage was literally her rubbing her arms on my legs and back with light pressure. At the end they make you pay in-front of them and it prompts you to give them a 20% tip which I was not comfortable with and I honestly wasn't comfortable paying for the "massage" but felt pressured by them. read more

I was venturing for a new massage place and came across this one on Yelp. The ratings looked good so I thought I would give it a try. The massage person I had was okay. They asked me about areas I would like them to focus or target areas as I booked a deep tissue 90 minute session. They were able to apply pressure, but the technique was not the best. I'm not sure if they are licensed massage therapist as the technique was more of a pushing and rubbing over areas with pressure, and sometimes hitting my bones, rather than focusing on the muscle tissue, tendons, or fascia. Upon check out I was paying cash and they showed me a screen with my payment remaining with 20% tip added as I already put a deposit to hold my appointment. I gave my payment and they kept looking at me as I owed more. Being not satisfied with the massage experience and wanting to get home so I could shower off tons of oil used, I gave an additional $20, which gave them a 40% tip. Shame on me for being pressured and not carefully thinking things through. As I read more carefully through the reviews I have seen others have had the same experience as myself. From the massage to the experience of settling your bill of being pressured to tip more. I don't think I will return here even with their service being okay. This place would be good for those looking to just release tension and not address target areas. Also, think things through when checking out as they will catch you and you will end up spending way more for a massage that could have been done at a place where you would have received a better experience. Update: 11/22/23 The manager called and explained that the person who took my payment was trying to calculate as I was checking out and offered to refund me the tip. We were not told ahead of time that she would be training someone during the massage. We were refunded for this. I was offered another massage free of charge with another therapist and they did not disappoint! Apparently, the therapist who had me was brand new out of school and was still being trained. I actually think they should be transparent with customers if that's the case, so that we can decide if we want to book with a more experienced therapist, or potentially give the new one a try (and at a lower rate). So far I've had two excellent massages here. This place is very much no frills, not fancy but their technique is excellent. The last massage was a couples massage and the reason for a missing star is the noise level- the couples massage room is right next to the entrance door, where people outside will gather, the workers will also talk and there was a phone dinging (I'm assuming for appointments). It was very difficult to relax. None of the rooms are soundproof at all and in fact are open on the top so you can hear EVERYTHING. I'm a tense, anxious person and this was my first full body massage. Ms. Cici was wonderful! She was kind and walked me through what I needed to do and checked in. The bed and blankets were nice and warm. My body felt so much lighter afterwards and I didn't feel the tension in my shoulders anymore! After 2 massages at Butterfly Massage, I have to say it will be hard to get a massage anywhere else! The massage therapists truly listen to what your aches and pains are, and have a unique technique that helps to alleviate tension temporarily, but really work on the root cause for long term relief as well! I have been stop going to see chiropractor after I found this place but coming maybe once in two months. One massage is good for me to live without pain for two month. Find Rose if Rita is full. When I first came to Rita, I had just undergone a hip surgery. My hip was immensely swollen. The imbalance was causing major problems throughout the rest of my body and I was suffering from severe depression because of it. I am only 30 and I felt horrible that my body was breaking down.
