I truly hurt... my body hurts on a regular basis because I have chronic inflammation., I cannot live without going to see Kevin at Herbal Oasis weekly. He I so good at massage that after I leave, I literally feel high because of all the endorphins. I've come here at least 25 times and I can't tell you how much better it is then Joy Spa or like the Relaxing room in Bothell. This is the place to go if you want deep tissue reflexology because Kevin is a pro at doing deep reflexology without the annoying feeling that sometimes you get with this kind of massage of somebody just pushing their fingers into places that hurt. He never does this! I know for sure I'd be much sicker if I wasn't able to go here at least once every week and a half! ! Scheduling is a breeze and as long as you keep them updated as far as your schedule they don't get mad if you have to change the time or cancel. There is lots of flexibility for walk in appointments during weekdays and not much of a wait at busier times. The staff is always friendly and professional. I walked in for a massage, fingers crossed that they would be able to accommodate me without a reservation. Fortunately, it was no problem on a Monday morning, and I received a 90-minute deep tissue massage with hot stones for $90. My masseuse, Mina, was friendly, strong, respectful, and intuitive with my problem areas. Since I can speak Mandarin, we had a lovely conversation toward the end of my service, and I walked out feeling refreshed, relaxed, and calm. I liked her so much that I asked for her name for future appointments. They also offer a points card, and you get a free foot massage after 10 sessions. Parking is a little tight in the narrow lot, but it is still doable and enough for all the businesses in the plaza. One star off because it's a very bare-bones aesthetic, so I can't really say much about the ambiance. Honestly, could not have had a better experience. We have been coming here for a long time. You could say we are regulars now. It's a great value for the money and then I'm happy to tip the therapists more. We usually call ahead to let them know we're coming and make sure they have time slots for us. My husband and I usually go together so we want to make sure that they will have enough therapists when we get there. He and I both have our favorite therapists and sometimes we ask for them, but most of the time we don't mind trying to see different people. It is sometimes difficult to communicate with them, but they get through with broken English or gestures. They try their best to accommodate pressure if you let them know if it's good or too hard or too soft. You just have to be specific. Most of the time, I haven't had to say anything. I've almost always had a great experience. We do the combo special which is a 30-minute foot massage and a 30-minute body massage. We sometimes change it up and do a 30-minute foot massage and 60-minute body massage combo or a 60-minute foot massage and 30-minute body massage, but our go-to is the 30/30 combo special. Definitely the best value! I recommend this place to my friends and even have friends that come from Issaquah and Redmond for a massage. Writing about this is making me want to go get a massage. A great place isn't great once, but consistently! I go to many foot combo massages in different cities and this one goes above and beyond making it my favorite! First time here and saw the great reviews, got the full body deep tissue...for $60 the lady was nice but very fast pace so it wasn't really relaxing or enjoyable to say the least...but I had kinks in my shoulder and neck and back, she did target those areas here and there, I asked her to go slower and to apply more pressure... came with hot stone...but went back to fast paced so I ended up getting my friend to give me another one which was more effective than the massage I got there....would recommend slower pace and more pressure to actually be able to feel and enjoy the massage....would opt for foot massage for what I received....I should of been charged for a regular massage....I also don't know if the water machine was clean either? I had a weird after taste in my mouth from the room temp stout. Overall woke up sore the next day and looking for another massage place that actually can do deep tissue. read more

However, that didn't happen much leaving me bit disappointed since I was struggling with pain on my upper thighs after a strenuous hike. As far as Chinese Foot Massages go, this is my new fav place. I work this into my schedule when I can't get an appointment time for a traditional massage, so it's a good compliment although I can't expense this to my Health account. This particular location in Kirkland is still very reasonably priced with every therapist utilizing a consistent technique that seems to hit all my right spots more than other places. If you do the $40 combo the back massage portion will be on a massage table in a private room, and they'll even massage your buttocks (in only the appropriate ways). From time to time they'll check on your comfort "Ok?" And those are the cues to express any reservations you may have. Keep in mind that since Chinese massages tend to be lower-priced, the expectation for tipping is a little higher. The staff can be a bit presumptuous but in order to keep the prices low and the staff happy, do be generous. read more

This place is super weird. It's like a factory. I hated it and I would never ever go back, nor recommend wasting money there. It was so rushed it was like I was at the airport in security. Rush rush rush. The massage hurt my feet and my back and I could not communicate with them. The hot stones were way too hot, and there was an inability to give any feedback. I was rubbed with baby oil like he was rushing out to a court date. He had zero talent whatsoever; I felt like I was in a car wash. They were rushing people in and out like a MacDonald's. I could not wait to leave. Upon leaving, the man forced me to put a tip on the tip line of my credit card receipt. He kept saying "TIP TIP TIP", and pointing at the tip line with the pen. I was blown away by the amazing service at Herbal Oasis! I am 40 weeks pregnant and in my discomfort decided to see if they had any availability for a same day appt. I was able to get an appt that afternoon, and when I decided last minute to make my 30 min foot massage one hour instead, they were able to accommodate that too. The atmosphere was relaxing and my massage therapist was incredible. I couldn't believe how affordable their prices were when I went to pay. Dropped the Jeep off at Stage Auto Center, saw the good reviews and figure use this time to relax. Glad I did, Anna was a great, being in IT, she got rid of my shoulder cramps. She is older, but have strong hands! My quads always feel numb, like not enough stretching or movement, sit for long periods, and Anna is only one of the few that actually put effort and pressure on this muscle for me. We were both sore afterwards--too much elbow use, and crushing, downward pressure. Within 60-90 minutes of the massge, my husband, who is not an easy bruiser, had a dark purple stripe show up on the spine of his neck, which lasted for days. Additionally, as someone who gets regular massages, I can attest that these are not trained professionals. In the positive column, they are all very polite, and the facility appeared clean. The first time I came to Herbal Oasis was great. The guy who did my massage was very good at what he did and kept asking if the pressure was okay. The second time was a different story. The guy who helped me this time didn't speak English nor understand anything I was saying. He was pressing so hard on my bone, yep bone. It was so bad that I ended up with a bruise after leaving. Since the first time was great I decided to give it one more shot because I can't say the entire business is bad based on one negative experience. Shame on me for thinking so... I ended up getting assigned to the SAME guy who previously helped me and left bruises. I made it very clear to the other staff who spoke somewhat English that I wanted him to go lighter and stay away from the bone. Since I did the 1 hour combo massage it includes 30 min. foot and 30 min. body. He starts off with the foot massage and right away it was painful.
