The lasting relief I feel in my feet and hands after each treatment has exceeded my expectations. As I mentioned earlier, I've seen other doctors without any relief, so I wasn't sure what to expect. She continues to recommend areas to improve. She checks in with me each visit about my diet, sleep, exercise, and stress, all of which affect my overall health. When I called, the staff asked for my insurance information and confirmed that my Microsoft insurance covers 24 visits per year. They scheduled an appointment and assured me the clinic was in-network, so everything seemed straightforward. Unfortunately, my actual experience was extremely disappointing. At the front desk, I was greeted by a staff member (her name was Nura(?), per office manager). The very first thing she did was demand my credit card. I politely explained that I prefer to wait until my insurance processes the claim and then pay any remaining balance, if any--this has always been my standard practice. Given the prevalence of credit card fraud, I am not comfortable providing my card upfront. Moreover, this requirement was never disclosed to me prior to my visit. She insisted that I must provide a credit card. I calmly reiterated my position. At that point, she looked at me and said, "Why are you so STUPID?" I was shocked. Regardless of office policy, there is absolutely no justification for speaking to a patient in such a disrespectful and insulting manner. I responded that if I am considered "stupid," then this is clearly not the right place for me, and I was prepared to leave. When the doctor returned, I asked if I could briefly speak with them. The front desk staff aggressively intervened, stating that I had no right to speak to the doctor directly and that everything had to go through her. She repeatedly interrupted me and would not allow a normal conversation.Given the tension created by the front desk staff, it no longer made sense for the appointment to proceed. Both the doctor and I agreed that canceling the visit was a reasonable and appropriate solution. I specifically asked whether any cancellation fee would apply, as I had noticed a notice regarding such charges. The doctor clearly confirmed that no fee would be charged. At that point, I had had enough. When the office manager returned, I informed her that I would not proceed with the appointment and would not be returning to the clinic in the future. At 4:17pm,  I received a message stating, "Your appointment with Min Chen on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 4:00 PM was canceled by yourself." The wording of this message was both inaccurate and concerning, as it seemed to deliberately frame the situation in a way that could shift responsibility onto me. However, the conduct of the front desk raised serious concerns. It appeared that their actions were aimed at creating a record that could later be used to justify a cancellation charge, despite the circumstances being beyond my control. This experience was unacceptable. One individual's behavior completely undermined the professionalism of the entire clinic. I would strongly caution others against coming here--encountering such hostility and disrespect is simply not worth it.

I've been struggling with arthritis and chronic pain in my hands for several years since I…read morerecovered from carpal tunnel syndrome. I've tried various treatments from western doctors, but they only seemed to treat the symptoms and not heal the core issue. So after seeing some government research on the effectiveness of acupunture for treating arthritis, I decided to give it a shot. First session and most of my pain went away for a few days. Before treatment, my pain was around a 6/10 constantly. After the first treatment, it went down to around 3/10. Pretty effective so far, but would it last? After about 2 weeks of treatment and herbal medicine, my pain levels dropped to around 3/10 consistently. The inflammation reduced a fair amount to the point where my hands weren't constantly swollen red all day. Since my condition was pretty severe I decided to get treatment for about 4 months, 1-2x a week, and doing physical therapy on the side to rebuild my hand strength. Now I can gladly say that I'm mostly pain and inflammation free in my hands. My hands are still a little weakened from overuse and there's some lingering soreness in my right hand, but my physical therapy is helping with that. I can actually lift weights again, which I'd go into relapse if I tried that before I began treatment. All the staff were always so friendly and accommodating to me. The clinic was very clean and aesthetically pleasing, with relaxing classical music playing in the background. If anyone's worried about dirty needles, I haven't caught anything besides the occasional minor bruising and swelling after sessions sometimes. But they all quickly healed in 2-3 days. My insurance covered costs, but even without insurance it still would cost less than western doctors with insurance. I would strongly recommend anyone suffering from arthritis to try out acupuncture and maybe do physical therapy as well. I thought I'd have to live like an 80 year old in my 20's forever, but I'm thankful for everyone at hopespring for helping my recovery.

I came for my neck issue as I usually suffer this as an office worker. For reference, I suffer stiff necks twice or thrice a month. After coming to Dr. Yu, it took about two to three sessions and after the third, my stiff neck went away and now, I do not experience any stiff necks and it has been 4 months now free of pain. I now go to him for my other health issues and so far, I see and feel the difference. I can just say that I feel "lighter" and just generally happier after having sessions with him. I arrived about 10 minutes early, Carlton was still with another patient and was about 15 minutes late to start my appointment. When I finally got into his office, he immediately told me, he's unable to treat tinnitus. I appreciated his candor, but it was weirdly abrupt. I have never had such a short medical consultation of any kind. I had literally just sat down. Back in reception, there was already someone else waiting. He then charged me $60 for the 'office visit'. I was in his treatment room for maybe 2 minutes. That's when I realized, he was double booked and running late. But he still wanted some money. Ugh. And then as I was leaving, he calls out, right in front of the other patient, "come back if have you regular aches or pains, but I can't treat THAT". Yeah he made it sound like I have some kind of 'irregular' condition. So basically I paid $60 to wait in reception for 25 minutes and then get embarrassed on the way out.
