It is unfortunate I am giving two stars but I must share my experience for input assist to all. I purchased a Groupon that offered 60 minutes of acupuncture with added cupping. The website had detailed many services plus healing herbs. Lei was kind and spend a few minutes time with me and listen to my issue with understanding. Once Lei placed cups on my back she left the room, one of the cups fell immediately and another was loose. After a set time she came in and took cups off and added needles strategically placed (painless) and left the room again. Once that was done Lei came in and took off some needles and was walking away when I mentioned she forgot one on my body then left the room that was the last time I saw her. As I got off the bed table I found two more needles and felt it all was rush there was a lot going on with other clients hence this may have taken time away from our one on one. read more

I would give no stars if I could. I called to see about appointments and she was able to see me right away. I had seen the Groupon and was informed on the phone not to buy it and that she would honor the price. When I arrived I immediately noticed the desk was piled with stuff and covered with a sheet. In the room there was another covered pile in the corner. The massage table had PAPER on it (the roll extended to the floor and a sheet over that. She asked me some medical questions and told me I was hypoglycemic which seems like a big diagnosis but maybe not. She started with cupping, and while she told me what each cup was supposed to do, she did not tell me how long I would be lying there before she rushed out of the room. She then proceded to talk to a man and woman in the lobby loudly while I layed there on a piece of paper wondering when she would return. When she finally did, she did not seem to have washed her hands before quickly removing the cups, that aside from the fire, had not been washed/sterilized. She threw those back into the plastic basket, and asked me to flip over where upon she began quickly sticking me with needles without sterilizing my skin first! I got 10 in all before she rushed out of the room telling me to try to relax. She proceeded to loudly eat her lunch in the lobby for an eternity while the needle placed in my hand slowly fell over which itched quite a bit. When she did return, she quickly pulled the needles, saying I was as all done and turned to leave. I started to get up and realized SHE HAD LEFT A NEEDLE IN MY HAND! I should have read review before going as none of this is particularly new. Do not go here. It is a health and safety risk. read more

0 stars if i could. came in and there was no music, no atmosphere, just the lady telling me to sign in. i signed in and she took me back to the room. i had no prior experience in cupping, but had been going to chiropractors and massage therapy for my back problems. she read my forms i filled out and just asked me about where my problem areas were and i told her. she then had me go to the table and i laid down and when she came back into the room she didn't explain anything as to what was happening, put the cups on me, put a blanket over me, and left. i had no idea when she was coming back or what was going on. she was attentive to others as i could hear her through the wall chatting with others. my cups were falling off me and she'd come in just to put fire in them and put them back on and leave again. then she finally came back in to take them all off and said i was done. i then realized that she didn't even target any of my problem areas once i looked at the placement of where she had them; she just spread them out all over my back. the groupons cheap but don't do it. read more

I have always wanted to try acupuncture but have never had the never to do it or have been to lazy to look up my insurance policy on it. I have some neck and low back issues that I try and ignore daily. But I saw an Amazonlocal deal and I thought I should definitely check it out and see if it even something I might be interested in. I understand that one visit isn't going to cure you and it takes time. Lei sat down and asked some medical questions about me. During the visit she explained to me what it was she was doing and why which was nice. The cupping technique I think felt good and there were no red flags afterwards which she said was good. Then she brought out the needles and I had to close my eyes because I forget...I don't like needles. But they are really fine and she just taps them in like its nothing. You really can't even feel them. The whole time I am just laying there trying to relax but I can't because I can hear the neighbors below her office. These 2 ladies were talking forever, I am guessing it is a doctor's office of some sort. I could hear their whole conversation. I couldn't relax! So I am a little bummed about that which is why I dock a few stars. I think I would have liked it better if I just got a massage and I think I will just stick with that in the future because I feel like I get more immediate results and benefits from it. She massaged my back a little bit just to feel me out and where the soreness was. And in the short minute she did that, I wished it was a massage, she has really good hands. read more

Lei Ding has literally given me my life back. I was in constant pain after a car accident 2 years ago. I could do pretty much nothing of what I was used to do. Barely able to keep up with every day life. After 8 treatments I no longer have lower back pain. Upper and middle back pain are gone. Neck pain is gone. My sciatic nerve pain in my right leg is gone! I am literally completely pain free most days. I have my energy back. I can never re-pay Lei for what she has done for me. About those people that commented negatively about her - acupuncture is NOT a relaxing spa treatment, people! Some of it will hurt. When she was treating my sciatic nerve pain - this was anything BUT comfortable and relaxing. But guess what? The pain is gone! Lei has been doing this for well over 20 years and it shows. She gets you in and out in about 60 minutes. She gives you a lot of advice on what you should do and will help you if you follow her advice. I recently got very sick with a nasty bug and couldn't stop coughing. She told me not to eat any dairy whatsoever as it causes more phlegm. Well - she was right. My cough improved dramatically after I stopped eating dairy (it's only temporary so that's alright with me). I highly recommend Lei Ding to anyone with pain problems. Although I'm a bit afraid of needles, I've always wanted to try acupuncture for my neck and shoulder pain. When I called, I was able to make an appointment the very next day, which was nice. Lei advised me what to do in preparation for the session (stay hydrated, and make sure I had eaten). She was very thorough in my medical review, and I liked that she explained everything she was going to do before she did it. She also suggested a new pillow to try for my neck pain. I felt so relaxed I actually fell asleep on the table. The office building is pretty old and run-down looking for Bellevue standards, but her office was clean and comfortable. I have been suffering from pinched nerve in my back. I had injections, surgery, and still no relief. I visited Lei last year. I found her on a groupon deal. I have been to an acupuncture before so I know what to expect. I felt a negative energy in her office. I saw her graduate certificate from a good local college. She bad mouthed her university. As she asked about my medical history and past acupuncture visits and treatment. She bad mouthed my treatment from my other md. The patient room was clean, except there were needles overflowing from the sharps guard spilled over onto floor. Before touching me. She did not clean or disinfect her hands. I am in Healthcare and this is a must to prevent infection. I think she swabbed puncture sites with etoh prior to insertion. She also did cupping on me which made my neck muscles tighter. This was my experience on my first visit. I thought maybe she just had a bad day. So, I returned a second time, still the same bad energy, bad mouthing of my md now with herbal treatment, still needles overflowing on ground and no handwashing. I would not return again. Lei Ding might be skilled, but she's very opinionated. She decides pretty much everything for you. Dr. Ding is extremely knowledgeable and a skilled practitioner. Under her care, my dermatological problem was cured with the use of acupuncture, massage, cupping, and herbs. When I sprained a foot, acupuncture diminished the swelling and pain. I've received at least 10 treatments and I've always found the room and treatment table comfortable. I especially like the heated treatment table on cold days and the soft instrumental music playing in the background. I know I've slept some after her massage and during cupping. She's provided me a lot of good advice. As a result, I am more selective in my food choices and am more hydrated. Dr. Ding is extremely accommodating as well. She did cupping and acupuncture and, as stated in the review above, I could not relax because of the office noise from a conversation she was having with another patient...I shouldn't hear another patients issues. I bought a living social deal for an acupuncture session. Lei Ding is very nice and very skilled. She explained things in a way that was easy to understand and thought that it was a great deal. My only complaint is that when you walk into the office and look at the reception area desk it is very messy. Papers just thrown everywhere and not in neat piles. Under the acupunture tables there were random empty bags and trash ect. I liked her and thought it was a good deal but if I were continuing to go there paying full price I would like to see the office in better condition as it's a little alarming when you walk in. She always ask specific questions, listens carefully and then prescribes appropriate treatment.
