Really confused about all the low reviews. This is the best place in the area for a pedicure. Very clean and nicely decorated, really friendly girls working there and awesome color selection with all the major brands. Huge selection of Essie nudes and pinks which I love, and they're always on top of getting the new collections in. Most importantly, they give the longest leg massages I've EVER had during a pedicure- which c'mon, is the best part! I can never believe how long they go on, that alone is worth the price for me! They're always busy but if they can't take your right away, they're good at letting you know how long the wait will be. Ulta and Target are perfectly located to waste a half hour at nearby :) One star off for the price, which I'll admit is oddly high. read more

I selected my usual Essie colour. Lady came over saying, "No, No, gel here". I did not want gel but opted in due to less dry wait time. 'Sue' was the technician. as she prepped my nails, I pointed to one. I would like the all this length. My natural nails are currently practically nubs. I usually get the acrylic to extend ever so slightly. I explained this to her. she said ok. then pulled out the tray of plastic tips. I waved no tips. we went in for a few minutes. yes tips.no tips. I explained to just extend acrylic verrrry slightly. she said that she could not. Sighing....very well. All done. ok, $100. ......,,Pardon me? I did not get a mani/pedi. Just a basic full set. lady points to price list. "Tips!". I explained that I didn't even want tips. TIPS ARE NOWHERE ON THE PRICE LIST. DO NOT GO HERE. Horrible salon. Really unsanitary. They don't disinfect the tubs for the pedicures or disinfect the tools. They will use the same dirty tub from the person before on a new customer. It's honestly gross and kinda disgusting. Then the lady upfront had the audacity to tell me that a 20% tip was MANDATORY. It never said that anywhere. It said 20% tip recommended. I went to butterfly nails today with two of my friends, we each got one acrylic set, and One pedicure say that the pedicure was OK. It was just like any other pedicure. My friends were burning though. Get the massage was pretty good and I am only giving one stars for the pedicure only. When we got our manicures, we each paid $100 when the lady owner said that she would give us each a discount for $80 which she never did. My one friends nails turned out good but they cut her six times and I'm not exaggerating. They literally made her bleed six times on each finger. my friend got starfish which they look like blobs and not even like looks like she tried. I got French tip with a blue order and there is a gap and it looks like a child did my nails if I'm being honest, the child would probably do better. it took us 3 1/2 hours just to get our pedicures and our manicures, which is outrageous. they were five girls just on their phone not doing anything when there were three of us, including my friends Grandma and there were two people doing nails. which also probably made the process slower. I go to college around the area and I was looking for a reliable salon to come to whenever I am at school, this was NOT IT!!!!! Employees pretend to be nice and do not tell you the prices of the services before hand. I asked for a gel fill, not a full set but just a FILL and I ended up paying $55 for it, when around my town ALL gel fills are around $35 The service was awful as well, the woman I had was VERY rough and absolutely DESTROYED my cuticles!!! Went back post COVID when they opened. Felt very clean and like the partitions between customer and nail tech except for it's hard to see what they're doing to your nails. I got a gel manicure. I found it quite expensive at $38 but not insanely priced. Today is three weeks to the day and the gel polish hasn't cracked or chipped regardless of constant hand sanitizer n hand washing. The skill level of the employees and service level has declined dramatically. I have left with messy around the cuticle nails on 2 visits. The 1st time I came back to have them fixed, this time I am not returning. They have lost my business forever. At $35 for a gel manicure to leave with them messy is not worth it and to have mentioned it upon check out and for the employee to say "oh sorry" and that is it their service level has declined as well. Just moved to this area and am looking for a new nail salon. Went in and immediately could tell they were not friendly or welcoming. They could tell I was new to their shop and they did not got out of their way to welcome me. The pedicure was just okay. The lady helping me was really timid and never even shared her name with me. She did eventually speak when she had to ask a co-worker for assistance. Her co-worker shared that they charge extra for everything including laughter, she joked. I wanted to love this place after getting a recommendation, but it's just not worth it. I went with a friend because we heard great things about the pedicures. The pedicure was long enough and relaxing, and my toes came out great. It's the gel manicure that fell short for me. I'm pretty sure they had the colors mis-numbered, because my nails ended up looking much brighter than the subtle green I had chosen. Not a huge deal, since I still liked the color, but it wasn't what I wanted. I also did not like the setup, because the "Covid safety" dividers had a wood trim making it difficult to see all the work that was being done on my nails. My cuticles in the end were hardly pushed back and my little hangnails were not all trimmed. Just two days later I got my first little chip, and over the next few days I've noticed the gel polish starting to peel up from the edges of my nails. It's now been a week since I've gone and I don't think they'll hold up much longer. Any other gel mani I've gotten has lasted 2-3 weeks, and this one has barely lasted a few days without lifting. Very disappointed. Was considering asking for a redo, but the reviews on here don't seem favorable to that. My friend's manicure seems to be holding up better, so the skill levels of the nail techs seem to be all over the place. I'd maybe recommend for a regular pedicure, but definitely not for a manicure. read more

Lovely nail salon. They were very accommodating to my toddler who was getting her nails done and a pedicure. My pedicure started off great then the nail tech used a tool on one of my big toes and dug under the nail that isn't really there anymore and she really hurt my toe and to this day my toe is still very sensitive and still hurts when I wear shoes or if my daughter accidentally steps on it. I should have told the nail tech to just put polish on that toe and leave it alone instead of cleaning it. It hurt especially on Sunday when I was on my feet for a wedding. My manicure was fine until I noticed today that one of the fingers if you lift the polish a certain way the gel will come off completely of that finger. Overall it was a nice nail salon and very nice to my daughter my mother in law and myself. Just now I know to just ask for polish on the big toe and no cleaning of it. Hopefully my toe will feel better soon read more

The pedicure wouldn't stand out as particularly bad or good to someone who doesn't care about sanitation--but I was utterly disgusted to discover debris floating in the basin when I sat down. When I pointed it out to her, the nail tech moved me one seat over and filled that tub with water, (without first cleaning it). That put cleanliness on my radar for the remainder of the pedicure. And I watched as each time the other nail techs finished with their client--they drained the tub and hosed it down without cleaning it with any actual solution (3 times this happened). And I watched as my nail tech used a handful of tools and then tossed them back into their little basket, rather than setting them aside to be disinfected or sterilized. Not to mention that the prices were up there for even basic services. And none of the workers were all that warm and friendly. The only positives I would say are that I was taken quickly without an appointment and also the woman who gave me a pedicure took her time with the massage. None of the little things matter when safety and cleanliness aren't the main priority. There is no chance that I will be visiting this nail salon again. read more

I've consistently gotten excellent results with gel manicures and pedicures over the years. They are quick to please and go out of their way to make sure I am happy with the results. They have always been clean and comfortable, and have recently renovated the salon after the quarantine with freshly painted walls, a new wood floor, plexiglass partitions, temperature checks, and hand sanitizers. Visited this nail salon when staying in the area for a wedding and was very disappointed in the service. I made the appointment after seeing how nice and clean the store looked. It's clean, well painted and has cute accents on the walls. I was sure to say that I was bringing the bride for her nails the day before the wedding and would like to be seated together Although we had an appointment, when we arrived we were immediately split up with two getting manicures first and one getting a pedicure first. Then, in the middle of my manicure, another group came in and complained about the wait so the manicurist left me in the middle of doing my nails to take care of the new customer. I explained that we had a time constraint due to the brides rehearsal dinner and the manicurist ignores my request to have my nails finished first. The gels themselves were not done well and started chipping immediately. I do have to say I had a great pedicure. The woman gave a good massage and my toes look great. The lady who did my nail did not even bother to check. She also left some nail polish on my hands without trying to remove it. The most painful manicure I've ever experienced in my life. I have cuts on 5/10 fingers and it is still painful, 3 days later. She literally filed my skin down until it bled. I consistently get a manicure elsewhere, every month and have never had this experience. First and last time here. The annoying finger pain will remind me of this terrible manicure for days to come. They prefer cash tip and the sign by the desk indicates that. This is the best place in the area and I agree with other reviews for this studio. The leg and food massage is fantastic by most of the girls. They do a very good job and I can say that by comparing it to other places I go around the country in my travels for work. Price is a little more than my usual place at home, but you do get the massage chair..no parrafin dip like my home place. Girls are very nice. I have seen them clean out the tubs where you put your feet in between clients, so I feel confident they are cleaner than many places. I would go back here if I ever return to the area. I"m new to the area and also don't understand the poor reviews for Butterfly Nails. I was here on Saturday morning (as soon as they opened). The place was immaculate, the tools used on me were sterilized, and there were at least 7 women available to do pedicures and another 5-6 doing manicures. It's decorated tastefully, there are tons of nail color choices, and the people are nice and welcoming. I had an above average cuticle removal with my manicure and a longer than average (and AWESOME) leg massage with my pedicure. They did my mani first, which I actually prefer. After having to wait close to 25 minutes for a basic fill-in, even though techs were available, I got passive comments made in their native language and lots of huffs and puffs. When I expressed discomfort with the way the acrylic was being applied to my fill-in I got eye rolls and more passive remarks. When finished I paid cash and provided a tip. The tip was met with "the service was almost 1 hour." During the same appointment by friend wasn't allowed to write her tip in discreetly, she had to tell her tip out loud, even after asking to write in on a receipt.
