So I finally got the chance to check out this little bakery I've been eyeing forever. It's tucked across from Highland Park Diner, on the same side as the cinema. They have limited hours, and every time I tried to go in the past, there was a line out the door. But I follow them on social media and saw they had some things available for Easter, so I jumped on the opportunity. Now, I haven't tried everything on the menu, but I did grab the croissants and wow. Just had one and it was fabulous. I ordered a set of six for $25, so a little over $4 each, which honestly felt totally worth it. The inside has this charming antique vibe it's small and cozy. I ordered online, which was super easy, and when I walked in and gave my name, my order was ready to go. I'll definitely be back. They also do pop-ups, which I'll be keeping an eye out for. Parking might be a bit tricky since it's a mix of residential and business in the area, but totally doable. Give them a try--those croissants were almost like being in Paris. Almost. Enjoy

We were shopping in the wedge neighborhood and lunch time, the food idea came up. On our way to see the makeover of the Highland Dinner, Butterjoy came up! An article was in The City paper during the dead of winter mentioning its retail venture and we wanted to give it a try. Very glad we did! Nice selection of croissants and beverages. Almond, mascarpone, raspberry and chocolate filling. Cute space shared with the Cinema. Lots of ambiance and antiques. Very pleasant lady's servicing customers. This is a must ! A little slice of Paris in the South Wedge!

Run and arrive early to this little local bakery on South Clinton right next to The Cinema. They are open at 8am on Saturday and Sunday but the lines start well before. I normally hate standing in a line waiting for I decided to grit my teeth and give this bakery a chance. I am beyond excited to say it was well worth the wait. They are not an industrial kitchen. They bake what they are going to sell for the day and that is it.what they have is what they have. While the hours are currently 8-1 they have closed early a few days after selling out. Go get and enjoy.

Was looking forward to trying Butterjoy. I got several things to try, butter croissant, pain au chocolat, pistachio cherry orange scone, blueberry marscapone. Sadly they for the most part except the pistachio cherry scone were well over cooked, burnt in some cases. This is a shame as after peeling back the over cooked pastery I was able to sample the flavors and they were quite nice. Unfortunately it meant in some cases 40% of it was not eatable or had a burnt taste Hopefully this was just a bad day, it

Close the base of a spectacular waterfall is this amazing coffee shop. I could smell the Java before we even got close to the door. Nice inside the waft of coffee beans and baked goods tantalizes your nose. It was love at first sniff. We met the owners who were so sweet & kind, along with their little Bub who had just turned one. Cutie patooty. This place is decorated so well. It literally felt like we were sitting having coffee with friends. Great taste on the tongue and the eyes. We both decided on iced cold brew. They have a variety of scones and bagels. I chose the fig, goat cheese and rosemary scone and my love chose the everything bagel with hummus. I am a scone snob and I will tell you that scone was buttery, savory and scrumptious. The sweetness of the fig & tang of goat cheese married together with the herbal essence of rosemary was absolute perfection. Bravo.....I am truly a fan. I did have a small bite of the bagel and it was tender and flavorful. There wasn't even a crumb on either plate. Thank you for having us ya'll. This Kentucky girl will definitely be back!
