I did not end up eating or drinking here because of how my experience was handled from the moment I…read morewalked in. I specifically chose this location because they have a patio. They also have a spacious parking lot, which was convenient. Since I had my dog with me, I stepped inside briefly to confirm that the patio was open before settling in. I greeted the young woman at the counter and asked if patio seating was available. She responded, "Yes, because dogs are not allowed inside." That felt unnecessary. I was clearly asking about the patio for that exact reason. I was not attempting to sit indoors, and I understand health regulations. She then added that the Houston Health Department could walk in at any moment. Again, I was not trying to dine inside. I simply wanted to confirm patio access so I could enjoy a coffee outside. I asked if someone would be outside to take my order. She said no. So I asked if she could take my order right then so I could immediately head out to the patio. She agreed, but her tone and demeanor felt dismissive, which made the interaction uncomfortable. At that point, I decided to leave. If the patio is dog friendly, there should be a smoother process for solo customers with pets. A simple, "Yes, the patio is open. Let me take your order now so you can head outside," would have made this quick and easy. Advisory: If you are visiting with a dog, I would recommend bringing another person with you. If you are alone, the ordering process may be awkward, as you cannot remain inside with your dog while placing your order. I would have happily spent money here, but the service made the visit feel more procedural than welcoming.

This is where the greatness ends. Almond croissant was 3 stars. It's open faced with the almond paste dolloped on top in the middle, and then it's drowned in powdered sugar. No. Ordered a matcha separately after looking over the menu...requested to be made with oat milk and added vanilla syrup. Total for the drink alone was over $9 with the substitution/addition and it came in an Itty bitty tall size (Starbucks reference) cup. Bland, slightly gritty, nah. I am not a matcha purist, but I prefer it over coffee, and I got excited for vanilla flavor (basic, I know) only to be rewarded with nothing. Not sure if I would return to try other baked items. Stopped by because I thought there would be more kolache options but there was only one, which had pork (bacon) in it. Sigh.

I wanted a pork chop or steak and saw this place and their pork chop. It looked great online. When I get there I ate at the bar. It was a coffee bar. Again- I should have done more research. So I was given a menu then I ordered the pork shop. And then the waiter said is that I and proceeded to give me my total. Another thing I have researched. It's counter service. Then I said I just wanted water. I waited for it and he said we have to help ourselves to drinks (later). So ok. Fine. Then later he told me they were out of pork chops. So I got the short ribs with the grits. The ribs were tender. They were tasty. The grits were good. The veg was good as well. I'd give the food a 4 but I would think, since they make their own pastries, they would make a bread to serve with dinner! But no bread so that drops it down a point or 2. I had ordered (pre-paid) for the bread pudding. It was good, legit bread pudding. The place itself is a coffee bar so it looks and acts like a coffee bar. Now to the coffee bar. Someone there ordered and espresso drink. They don't have a knock box and so he proceeded to knock out the very old puck into a trash can under the sink then rinsed it. Then the shot glass looked like it had been there unrinsed from the morning. Then as he proceeded to make the espresso- he had to fill the espresso machine (with tap water). Last- it was Aerosmith on repeat. I like them as much as the next guy, but how about some variety. I guess if I lived in the area I might go back to try their breakfast. Anyway- I ubered there and I wish now I would have just eaten at the hotel bar.

We were greeted and given menus. My wife likes Reuben sandwiches and I love and scour the planet for hamburgers. My wife ordered the Reuben and Rebecca with chips and pickles. She absolutely loved it and said it was the best Reuben since we left NYC 20 years ago. Like I said I am a hamburger aficianado. I will always take a burger over a steak. (not my wife, who thinks that is sacriligious). My bad was that I stopped reading when I read Cowboy Meal which was listed as a burger. It was an AWESOME looking plate and worth just looking at it BUT it was not a burger: it was a salisbury steak!!! I almost cried! On the plus side is that it had a lot of bacon!!! Was it tasty? Meh. Was it a juicy burger? No Way! My side was the smoked paprika salad which was very good. Leaving you walk past their desserts which even a blind person will stop in the tracks. I ordered to go a lemon bar which was very heavy and not skimpy and wife had their apple pie. They didn't make through the night!! The service was excellent and friendly. Will we come back? Absolutely for I want to try their burger. p.s. Really clean bathroom.

Let us count the ways: * The vibe is relaxed. So relaxed as a matter of fact, I've yet to see this place crowded on any weekday or weekend. * The WiFi is fast and reliable. This alone is why I'll end up staying here without consuming at least 3 drinks in a single sitting. * There is plenty of seating. Outdoor seating is extensive and the interior is super group friendly. * Iced lattes skew on the sweeter side, but their cold brew also gets a thumbs up. * There is a dedicated meeting room / isolated space for meetings / meetups. That's big time. * Don't feel like stopping in? There's a drive-thru. * Customer service is on point. They're fast, courteous, and super friendly. * The ventilation is right and the place is clean. Especially the bathrooms. This is a winner in terms of a coffeeshop space. I realize the vibe isn't' for everyone, but it's one of the main reasons why I'll find myself in this space more often than not.

There was definitely an interesting lineup of flavors when it came to their offerings. I chose the ube and honey lavender flavor. The ice cream itself was the perfect creamy texture. While this location is in Spring Branch and a bit further from us, it is well worth heading here for the ice cream. You can find your typical ice cream flavors like vanilla, cookies 'n' cream, and chocolate. Where this ice cream shop stands out is the unique ice cream blends such banana pudding, strawberries 'n' cream, and carrot cake. I had the pleasure of getting scoops for all the 3 mentioned flavors thanks to their ice cream flight which gives you 4 mini scoops of whatever flavors you desire. I added the s'mores & campfire to round out my 4 flavors. The carrot cake and banana pudding are my hands-down favorites; they taste just like those decadent desserts but in creamy ice cream format. My girlfriend loved the taste of the banana pudding that she ordered it in the waffle cone and was happy as a kid in an ice cream shop. The ice cream flight is probably the best bang for your buck. Ice cream sundaes and ice cream nachos are available along with shakes and floats. Additionally, pints can be purchased to take home. I should've bought a carrot cake one cause I can't stop thinking about that flavor. They also have a featured flavor which happened to be the carrot cake when we visited. They better make that a permanent flavor cause it's straight !
