There are unique aspects to every Common Bond location, but this "On-The-Go" out in Memorial at the MarqE ranks up there as one of my favorites. Let us count the ways: * The vibe is relaxed. So relaxed as a matter of fact, I've yet to see this place crowded on any weekday or weekend. * The WiFi is fast and reliable. This alone is why I'll end up staying here without consuming at least 3 drinks in a single sitting. * There is plenty of seating. Outdoor seating is extensive and the interior is super group friendly. * Iced lattes skew on the sweeter side, but their cold brew also gets a thumbs up. * There is a dedicated meeting room / isolated space for meetings / meetups. That's big time. * Don't feel like stopping in? There's a drive-thru. * Customer service is on point. They're fast, courteous, and super friendly. * The ventilation is right and the place is clean. Especially the bathrooms. This is a winner in terms of a coffeeshop space. I realize the vibe isn't' for everyone, but it's one of the main reasons why I'll find myself in this space more often than not. read more

This place is a must! I've only had their teas and pastries! They have a chicken Cesar wrap and I'm dying to try it! Just a tip, get there before 3pm cause i know they sell out of the pastries before then! The service is fast and they're always so nice and accommodating! A great location just off the Katy Freeway near Antoine/Silber! A brand new location that is perfectly located around the MarqE area, surrounded by entertainment, various foods and a high traffic area. If you are not aware, Common Bond has half off their baked goods starting an hour before they close everyday. That's what makes this place worth it! Here are some of my favorite items to get there: -Oatmeal Cream Pie, gosh it's so good, might be even better than Little Debbie's -Almond Crossiant, to die for, tastes super good and has a nice crossiant consistency -Blueberry Muffin, great texture, plenty of blueberries and overall delicious Service can be iffy at times but most of the times it's been pretty good and friendly. Nice convenient location right off the freeway. There is plenty of parking and seating. I went with some friends. The Hibiscus lemonade is so refreshing and a perfect drink to beat this summer heat. My friend got the salted caramel latte, and they said it was sweet and delicious. It's really a "On The Go" type of place but missing the quality needed that you get at the regular Common Bonds. Just for context: Breakfast croissant sandwich comes with cheddar, provolone & egg. As a chef, I don't understand the 2 cheeses especially since one will overpower the other but ok. Ordered: 2 Breakfast croissant sandwiches, one the normal way it comes & the other no provolone cheese & a little cheddar cheese. Received: 1 The normal way & the other a plain croissant filled with barely melted cheese crumbles & no egg. I immediately went back inside to discuss the confusion & was met with more confusion. Asked them to read my order back to me & both people in the front response was, so you don't want the egg? Sir & Ma'am, maybe y'all should be in the back cooking & not taking orders or expediting. The food at Common Bond is always a good quality spread. I was a little disappointed at the limited spread at the Marqe location compared to the Montrose location. The bakery itself was of little character and felt a little lost with the high ceilings. There was also a little area that was boxed up by itself which did not feel inclusive. Extremely disappointed in my visit today. They apparently had a "Supervisor" that did not know what she was doing. Try to order the oatmeal cream cookie, no cream. Try to order Acai Bowl with Gluten Free granola (tells me they don't have gluten free granola - which they would HAVE TO if they're advertising it Gluten Sensitive). She then offers to call her manager who is not more help than her. I finally settle on an Acai Bowl with no granola and it's not even the right consistency. It's literally crystalized! So disappointed that I spent all of this money and my lunch break walking over there. I now realize why there are very few if any people ever there when I pass by. Chicken salad croissant was very very delicious. We also bought chocolate chip cookie, morning bun and our favorite almond croissants! The Common Bond at marquee has very open style interior and also has outside seating that you can enjoy the weather. Why 5 stars? Because the Texas Pecan Nitro was unique and delicious. --- --- --- If I go to a coffee shop and nitro is on the menu, my order is decided. I was on the fence about visiting Common Bond after having lunch next door, but I looked on the menu and found a "Texas Pecan Nitro" and the debate was over. There was a drive thru and no one was in line. The time between "May I take your order" and the coffee hitting my lips was no more than 45 seconds. And more importantly, when it hit my lips, I let out an involuntary "OoOoOo". A lot of nitro's are similar to each other. And don't get me wrong, I love most of them. But it was nice to have something a bit different here. The flavor was very pecan heavy, which was nice. I can't say I would *prefer* it over others, but variety is fun. And this delivered variety. One of my favorite bakery. I used to go to the Montrose bistro but it started to get so crowded that the lines outside would stretch enough to hold us out for even as long as an hour so I have stopped going there. When I noticed Common Bond in the suggestions for coffee place, I almost jumped up my seat and when I saw those familiar shades of pastel green, yellow, white and teak shaded, heaved a sigh of relief and couldn't wait to come in. This is a new location, about 1.5 months old only, and it is an 'On-the-go' concept, so we don't have soups, and fries and the like. The taste and quality stands without compromise. Apparently they custom- made a coffee for my partner, that made him very happy. We split a veggie sandwich, it was light and oh' so fresh ! There is big huge muffin staring out of a bag but am too full to try it. It is Common Bond style do upscale you can say and with everything made fresh, it is reasonable for the quality maintained. Food was excellent but the service was poor. It was just that one worker that had a problem with changing her gloves after touching the computer screen and I didn't want that glove on my food. Instead of just changing the gloves she made a big deal of it. These are the type of people that will totally destroy a business. In concept the on-the-go shops are a bit paired down from the full size Common Bond locations. Still they have most of the things that I look from from Common Bond. Great bakery goods and breads. Their croissants and pan chocolate do not disappoint.This location is much closer to home (for me) than the larger locations. I generally stop by to stock up on bread and croissants. While there I get a coffee if I stop in the morning or a sandwich and a beer if I am there around noon. read more

This was my first experience at this specific location, but it is a spitting image of the other location that I frequent. It seems like a great place to chill, but it was packed, so I didn't stay long. The pastries here are absolutely amazing. I always get at least 1 each kouign-amann for myself and my fiancé.
