After contacting ENDLESS fence companies on my own, I decided to use Home Depot to find someone in hopes it was more affordable and a little more reliable. I've been reading horror stories about contractors and have just been straight terrified to be honest. They reached out pretty quick after I submitted a quote request and we set up a consultation. The consultation is what told me immediately I had to consider them, out of the 10+ companies I had come out to give me quotes this was the only company to showed me pictures of work they had done and styles of fences that were available. As a first time very new homeowner I DID NOT know what kind of fence I wanted or what kinds of fences were available so this was VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. I was dead set on a Vinyl fence but the woman who came out showed me a cedar fence that would match my covered patio beautifully and I fell in LOVE, but she still gave me vinyl options. After consultation it took about 2 days to get a quote for BOTH vinyl and wood fencing which was awesome because even though I fell in love with one fence they still provided quote for what I originally wanted. After getting the quote me and my boyfriend had to decide what we wanted to do, it was between Buzz and the only other company willing to do vinyl in my area..so I went to google to start reading every single review available (literally). Finally deciding to go with them because from what I've seen even if someone had a bad experience they are quick to remedy which I appreciate as we all make mistakes it's how you handle it that matters in my opinion. I decide on the Cedar fence and then came scheduling, I was on a deadline because my city was ready to fine me for how awful the original fence was they were able to give me a timeline and I relayed that to the city 4-6weeks out (city decided they would make it 4 weeks). I was blowing up not only the sales lady but their main office with a million questions and concerns because I needed to meet this deadline, and how to fill out permit forms they answered EVERY TIME. They were even sending me emails per my request so I could send to the city so I could try to extend the deadline, literally work with you people. All in all I got my fence and it's STUNNING, every single person who drives by just stares, I sit outside and stare at it. The men who installed my fence were so kind and so quick, took about 4 days to complete the tear down and reinstall. The sales rep I worked with did stop by a few times to check in (I was always busy with life and not able to stop and chat but want to note the extra effort put in even after they had my business) PROS: -COMMUNICATION IS GREAT -PRICE BEAT EVERY OTHER COMPANY FOR CEDAR FENCES (All other companies prices were higher even for a BASIC fence) -QUICK FOR THE CLIMATE AND SHORTAGES ALOT OF COMPANIES ARE DEALING WITH -ACCOMMODATING CONS: -HAVING TO DO THE PERMIT REQUEST MYSELF *Everyone I have spoke to about my fence situation including the city thought it was weird that I had to request. If I told my best friend or my worst enemy about this place, I'd say: WORST COMPANY EVER!!! Had an issue with the fence for 3 months and finally got an appointment for Monday Feb. 23, 2013 but while 50 miles from my home on Saturday Feb. 21, 2013 some subcontractor shows up at my home and breaks into my locked backyard...6' chain with a lock and another lock on the inside of the gate. A neighbor called me and told me that somebody was messing with my Harley's so I told the neighbor have her husband and son-in-law confront the guy. Luckily it was not needed once the guy identified himself as a BUZZ employee; why set an appointment if you can't follow it? The sales guy DUSTIN (typical used car salesman...probably has the cheap suit to match) authorized the B&E without taking into account that there are two dogs onsite that do bite so if the subcontractor were to have been bitten then I would have gotten sued and if the subcontractor had let my dogs out and they had been injured I would have sued BUZZ and the subcontractor. If this company puts it's own people at risk of being injured what kind of shady workmanship do you think they'll try to pass off to a paying customer??? JUST POOR BUSINESS!!! POOR SERVICE!!! Home Depot farms the fence work out to them so you may want to request another company. When I called and spoke to MARY with BUZZ she was rude and wanted to know "what kind of dogs are they?" What does that have to do with anything? A dog that bites...is a dog that bites! OH YEAH...AND THE GATE IS STILL NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED...FOR A 7K WOOD FENCE IT SHOULD WORK PERFECT!!! read more

Love these guys! I got a custom gate from them. They came out, measured where it would go, talked to me about options, and I placed the order. Then they scheduled the install date and built my gate. Here's some things I didn't know about installation before starting out: At least in my case, on the scheduled install date, a technician came out to "set the poles." That means he digs holes for the poles that the gate will hang from, and sets and concretes the poles in place. That concrete has to set before they can actually hang the gate. So (in my case) it was the next day that two technicians came out and hung the gate. It's beautiful, opens and closes like butter! It is yet a third date that another pair of technicians come out to install the opener. In my case that was not on the third day, but about a week later, because of weather delays. But the office got that scheduled, too, and they came out and got my opener installed. Then they showed me how it all works. I love it! Beautifully constructed gate with a remote opener for my car, a keypad for the yard man, and a couple of other cool tricks that I'll let you find out about when you get your own custom gate with an electric opener :) read more

Needed some fence repairs made and called to get a few quotes. Even though Buzz was the most expensive, I chose them be cause the estimate they prepared was the most comprehensive and I thought they had a good reputation. Their estimate quoted the remove a 24' section of fence (which they did not remove and reinstall, rather just slightly pulled it back to gain access) and replace post's. It turns out they did not do near the labor quoted and only replaced 3 posts when they told me it would be 4. The fence is still loose after replacing the post and the sack concrete work was sloppy at best. I called and explained my concern about the misrepresented labor quote and number of post installed; today I recieved my bill for the full amount of the original quote even though the service rendered was not as stated. I could have had the same job done for nearly half the price. Shame on me. Also, my neighbor a few houses down had Buzz quote his fence and he chose to go with another company because Buzz was not competitive. In summary, their quality was so so, prices are high by comparison and they did not do what they said they would do per their estimate. read more

The service was excellent from the time that their salesman, Hoyt Harris met with me and wrote the order..... on to the completion of the fence. They communicated with me during the whole process. Staci in Customer Service gave great customer care as she guided me throughout the project from beginning to end. The installers were always on time and worked diligently throughout the construction of the fence. They did a fantastic job, and their work was flawless. This is one reason I contacted Buzz. From day one Mr. Gomez' continued monitoring and team performed flawlessly. On day one the fence crew of only two personnel removed my old fence, dug out rocks, and installed the fence post. We had a major problem with our electricity swing gate in that it would not open. Buzzfence sent Daniel who located the problem and was able to have the parts sent to arrive the next day. He came out and replaced the bad board only to find a switch was also not working. He was on the phone and as before he was back out the next day and installed the switch and we were back in business. He was very apologetic for all the trips and was very helpful. I have used Buzz Fence for my home and office fencing. They are one of the few companies out there that stand behind what they do. They also do a yearly check up of my fences to make sure they are working good. I never had to have my drag fence replaced in 8 years and I attribute that to their good check ups and customers services. They never try to over sell and I have found their prices to be fair and reasonable while their service and repairs department is the best I have ever seen. Buzz just finished up a very nice cedar fence for me in Willow Park across some pretty difficult grades last week. The fence looks amazing. I had a total of 3 gates built. Going with metal posts and a full metal frame was the way to go. These gates open and close great. Everything feels very sturdy. I saved a little money by not doing a top cap, but the installers built it so that I could easily add the top cap later on. Communication with Hoyt was great. Replaced large street side section of our old fence. We got two bids and Buzz Custim Fence was by far the most knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating. They did not deem it complete until we were satisfied and it met their standards. My ONLY issue was that our plants along the fence line were pretty much a loss - fortunately it was a narrow bed that we will eventually be able to replant. In 2011 Buzz built a perimeter fence for our home that included a remote controlled driveway gate. I called Buzz to replace a gate bracket where a weld had failed. Buzz was great about keeping me informed on procuring a new bracket and scheduling install. Daniel showed up right on time with a much heavier duty bracket. He did a strong TIG weld, cleaned up and then painted the weld site. He then adjusted the limits to gate opening/closing. Very good job! read more
