Dropped a 360 Mopar crankshaft off to be turned as well as a 302 Ford block to be bored and honed…read more I didn't ask pricing ahead of time so beware, their pricing is double the normal rate locally. When I picked up the parts I was billed $350 for the bore and hone, $50 for vatting the block (that was already thoroughly hot tanked), $50 for installing cam bearings, $22 for the cam bearings ( I told them I would handle the cam bearings, etc), and $150 to turn the 360 crank. When they loaded the block I noticed it didn't have the cam bearings, so I went back in the office and told them they needed to remove the cam bearings and installation charges since it wasn't asked for or done. The owner, Chris, removed these charges but then marked up the bore and hone cost to $400. I called him out on this and he claimed I previously got "Combo discount" but now didn't. After leaving a bad review on Google, I received a call from Chris apologizing. He wanted my credit card to refund some part of the overcharge. I don't trust the guy to give him my credit card at this point. I told him I gave him the opportunity to fix it Friday. Today I am preparing to install the 36 crankshaft and measure it, it's not turned properly. Everything is about .001 inch too big. Now I have to take the crankshaft to another shop and have it done correctly, costing additional money. Beware and avoid this place.

Called them on AUG 23RD and was told they blasted them and should be a few more weeks. Ok, no big deal I understand delays happen. Called again multiple times in mid/late Sept and got the same response. I'm starting to get a little frustrated at this point. Called again beginning of October and the same thing "the tech is measuring them and we should know in the next few days what pistons you need, I will call you once I know more". By now boating season is wrapping up. Finally said screw it and drove to the shop and picked them up OCT 24TH. During the span of 3 months, I never received 1 call about the status of the work, delays, or any info. Clearly my business is not important to them so I decided to take it elsewhere. I've been more than patient and understanding about the delays, but at a certain point I'm tired of being lied to. If you're a racer or have a trip or some sort of hard deadline you need a project finished by, I'd recommend going elsewhere. Also, in regards to the media blasting that they did do, I was told the coolant passages would be cleaned out and cylinder looking like new. Still lots of paint and corrosion everywhere on the cylinders and coolant passages. Lack of attention to detail and care for the customer. Will never do business with them and do not recommend.

Honestly, if someone needs to be spoken to about their conduct on a daily basis, they shouldn't be working at your establishment. A few hours later, I received a voice mail to call or stop by. I came back late afternoon and one of the mechanics explained that a plate covering up a reservoir in back underside of my SUV had become loose and was causing the rattling. The mechanic tightened up the screws and my car was fine. I was so relieved! Then, I realized, the mechanics here are HONEST! I stared at him for a few and he just smiled. I said, "Thank you, how much do I owe y'all?" His response, "No charge. We hope to see you back for some mainetance." Wowzers! My hubby and I are now taking our vehicles here for all maintenance!
