If i could give this business a negative score I would. They installed all of the systems in the Southern Pines development in Hilliard and it appears that the majority will have to be replaced. The homes are less then 2 years old. The company is unresponsive when you call and from the other companies that I have contacted about my system all have said that the work was beyond poor. Unfortunately, this was the company we were stuck dealing with due to them being the vendor used by our home builder. In a little over 1 year, our septic alarm started going off, we called them out and while the tech herself was very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable, actually trying to get in contact with someone to get them out here is nearly impossible. Had to reschedule them 3 times, and take much time off of work just to get them out here for appointments they had scheduled but no showed for. Stay away from this company if you want to avoid headaches. They never show up or stick to their word. read more

Terrible service took them over 6 months to complete the job, not to mention they would go weeks without answering our calls and when they did answer they couldn't give us any answers... instead of taking out our old septic they put a new one on top of our old one and managed to cover up a city easement in the process. This is the WORST company you could use. Pretty sure they falsified the inspection paperwork as well, because I have no idea how it would pass inspection considering the tank is above the ground and cracked already. BVD Septic has been a complete nightmare!! I bought a brand new house from an investor in October 2021. BVD was the company who installed the septic system...Delta whitewater series Aerobic. Six months later, my septic alarm began to go off and my tank was over flowing raw sewage. i contacted my home warranty company who then sent out BVD. the first time some came out, one guy showed up, somehow turned off the alarm and left without giving me any feedback at all. a few days later it happened again. this time, a male and female showed up. the explained that the system was installed all wrong and that the piping was backwards. he dug up the rectangle box, turned it around, then repiped everything. Here again, a few months later, it's happening again. I did not use BVD for my new maintenance agreement for obviou reasons, but informed them of my issue because it started just after they installed it, they never repaired it properly and I feel it is their responsibility to make it right. they said they could no longer assist me because I did not renew my maintenance agreement with them and their hands were tied. after going back and forth, they have now referred me to their attorney and blocked my emails. I am a single mom with three kids and now we are left with no working sewage and no money to pay someone else to come fix it. We have resorted to using the bathroom and buckets and being unable to do dishes and laundry until we can get the money to pay another company to repair their mistakes. Now they keep telling me they've reported that they are no longer servicing my system as if to scare me. Read all of the reviews prior to hiring this company. They are awful and have wrecked my life. read more

Total S show, came out, gave me a quote, I accepted their quote and told them to begin the process (this was April 20th 2021). Then the clock started ticking, weeks went by , then months and the only response I would get from Chris is "he was waiting on the permit to be approved, should be done soon". Finally in September (almost 5 months of having to constantly drain my septic tank) I call the dept of health, and low and behold THE PERMIT WAS NOT EVEN SUBMITTED*** *** Chris simply tells me "Oh we'll go ahead and resubmit it"... After a few days I ask for a confirmation that the permit has been sent in for review and .....Crickets*** no response whatsover. Don't know how these guys stay in business, they cost me an additional almost $2000 and 5 months hassle to my tenant... I would avoid, unless you like a dumptruck full of BS cause i certainly don't. read more

These people will gladly take your money and provide no service. Had to watch my mother pay thousands of dollars for a service for them to simply never show up for it. We had no choice but to take them to court and they had nothing but excuses. The following is for sure, the septic tank was never fixed, my mother is out a few grand, and these people are a few grand richer. Money does not grow on trees, my mother worked and sacrificed hours to make that money and businesses like this will prey on the vulnerable. Heres some advice, take your business elsewhere. Never use this company. Bought a newly built house in 2018 had issues with the Alarm and the drain field they had to come back out and replace the whole drain field because it was not dug deep enough. Now 4 years later i called another place to come clean out my septic tank and find out BVD left the clean out 3 feet underground now after digging a big hole in my yard I have to now add risers to raise it up so in 4 years my yard doesn't have to be dug up again. This still doesn't explain the other 5 times they came back within the first year while it was under warranty. BEWARE DO NOT USE ! read more

Woman came into my front gate walked to my front door at 8 o`clock am suspiciously did not ring my bell but quietly knocked on my door, said she was from BVD Septic that shes here to do an inspection on my Septic tank. She did not introduce herself nor shown any ID nor wore any ID. I told her to please leave my property and go through the proper measures by way of a phone call and appointment and not to come back again. As she left my left my wife heard her on video cursing me as she walked down the driveway. My first impression was this strange woman maybe trying to case out my home to rob us, or It is a privately owned company trying to scam us to use their services or maybe both. The woman was extremely unprofessional looked like a meth-user, crack addict. I would never use a company like this so completely rude and inconsiderate and nasty. read more

BVD Septic agreed to install a complete new septic system to replace our failed 41 yr. old system, including a new drain field and pump tank. After waiting approximately 12 days to get the permit from the county, the crew arrived to begin excavation. Approximately 1 hour into the excavation process, the primary internet cable which serves most of our neighborhood had been cut, along with the underground cable that served our individual residence. Approximately, 3 hours into the project, the backhoe had severed the water line that serves our house. When the main septic tank excavation was complete, during the first tank installation attempt, the crew dropped the new poly tank and punctured a hole in the corner, rendering it unusable. A new tank had to be ordered and during the 2+ hr. wait / delay, afternoon thunderstorms moved through causing the excavation to fill with water and the sides to slough off into the hole. One area of the excavation came very close to the live load influence of the house foundation (i.e. inside of 3' laterally and approximately 7' deep). Subsequently, the backfilling began and the water-saturated soils produced significant voids below grade that were eventually revealed after approximately 3-4 days. One individual, when walking on the backfilled areas of the tanks (4 days later), broke through and into a void over 18" deep. Fortunately, no personal injury was sustained. Email, voice mail, and text communications went unanswered over a period of 4 days and when the owner (Chris) eventually answered my phone call, I was met with very defensive, unprofessional, offensive, and condescending responses. When I advised him that I simply wanted the voids backfilled and appropriately addressed, he advised that he would send a crew over that afternoon with a load of sand. While BVD Septic's services were secured in good faith and with high expectations, those expectations were quickly diminished within a couple hours of the crew coming on site. As a former excavation equipment operator myself, it became immediately obvious to me that the operator of the excavator was very unqualified and inexperienced. All, of the aforementioned issues could have been easily avoided, if industry best practices had been implemented (e.g. Call Before You Dig - Sunshine 811 utility locates and greater attention given to general excavation protocols and installation means & methods). Further, client management, customer service skills, and overall professionalism within this organization is sorely lacking in several areas. Jennifer (the COO and daughter of the owner), however, was very accommodating and professional. Lastly, nearly 2 months after the installation, our beautiful and healthy 40 year old water oak tree began losing leaves. Upon assessment by a local arborist, he identified significant bark and root damage from the excavation activities during the septic installation. After another 3 months, the tree demonstrated no evidence of recovery and had to be removed at a cost of $1,200. Upon contacting the owner, I requested that he consider sharing in the tree removal cost, due to the damage caused by his crew. He essentially laughed at me and told me it was not his problem and hung up. I could not in good faith and will not recommend BVD Septic, LLC for ANY type of septic services. Last year they installed a new septic tank, told me we were good to go for 3-5 years. Here we are one year later and the tank is full. Called them and left messages cause Chris does not answer the phone and has yet to return my voice mails. Called another company they came out and said the drain field should have been replaced as well and that is why the tank is full. Customer service is lacking and they should have better informed us, as well as return the phone calls. They could have retained me as a customer and got the job to install a drain field. read more

I received an email from the accounting arm of BVD and Presto Plumbing in late September and I was shocked. BVD sent their plumber out in April because after they installed a new septic tank and drain fields that month for $5000, my kitchen sink wouldn't drain and the downstairs toilet overflowed. The plumbers said everything was fixed, no prob, and didnt charge me. BUT, come to find out, the septic guys missed a whole arm of my septic system which, after the system replacement, was now not connected to anything! The sink still kept backing up and the toilet overflowing onto my family room carpet until BVD realized their error and dug up my yard and newly planted grass to fix it. Now five months later I get a nastygram for $125 and threats of a lien. if the work had been done properly the first time, there wouldn't have been a need for a plumber. And if the dumb plumbers had admitted they couldnt fix it, i would have appreviated the honesty. I should have received an apology and my carpets cleaned. I don't like to not pay my bills but they can eat this one. read more

This was one of the worst companies we have ever dealt with. They basically tore up our septic and drain field because of an office error with the permits. And then when it was brought to their attention they lied and led us to believe they would fix it. Not only was the customer service rep we dealt with lying to us daily, the owner REFUSED to talk to us even though they ruined our front yard for no reason. When the manager did come out after weeks, he had words with my wife, took no responsibility for their huge mistake and then made promises they never kept. We finally got the final inspection approved after multiple failed attempts due to their mistakes. We were then promised our sprinklers to be replaced, a warranty in writing and a piece of equipment that they removed from our property without our permission was to be returned. They did not come through with any of those promises and we have never heard from them again after multiple texts and calls. Once again, THEY tore up our whole yard (and a 3 year old drain field) because of their mistake and yet we were never apologized to or made whole. I would NEVER use this company again and have reported them to multiple places. read more

These guys are horrible. They repeatedly lie to you about when they say they can come out and have bad customer service. "Emergency" line is useless. When they did come out, after months of the septic alarm going off, one of the guys looked right into our security camera, which streams live, and peed ON our AC unit. I would never recommend this company. Beware of rental companies that use this company, they also don't care about you or your septic alarm going off every day. read more

Im crazy about BVD Septic. the best customer service experience every time. they are fast, friendly and accurate. their response time is the best in town. and just when I thought they couldn't do any better they did, they partnered up with Presto Plumbing so now all my plumbing needs are met in a snap. This company was hired by my contractor to expand my drainfield because of an addition. They said they had to enlarge the septic tank so they added a second tank as a feeder tank. For weeks, literally after, my septic would back up. The owner, Chris, instructed me to go plug the pump directly into the outlet and bypass the float sensor. So literally, for weeks, i and my wife had to periodically go outside, including in the dark and rain, to plug the pump in directly. Never once did the wired alarm go off to say the pump wasn't working or the tank was full. Chris did send somebody out several times but it fixed nothing. After weeks of this, my toilet had an issue and starting running continous. Because the pump did not work, the toilet overflowed into my house (nobody was home) and ruined two floors and everything sitting in those rooms. Chris said it wasn't his responsibility and blamed it on my toilet and refused to cover anything. He did have his guys come do something else with the pump and it actually seems to work now although the tank was left sticking partially out of the ground. read more
