Had a fantastic experience this morning after our shower faucet would not turn off. Called and they were able to send someone over pretty quickly which was appreciated since I work from home and had to turn the water off until it was fixed. After sharing what the problem was, we were also told that an added part would be needed to correct how it was originally installed but would prevent the issue from happening again. I recently had two drains running very slowly I reached out to this provider and was able to get an appointment with them the next day. The techs arrived in the time frame and was able to handle the problem. They didn't snake the drains but address the trap also. Both are working fine. The tech was very knowledgeable and cleaned the area very well. The cost was fare by 2025 standards. We have used this provider for about 10 years with no issues. Had the main line get clogged and backed up into my bathtub while washing dishes the Friday before Christmas! We were having trouble getting someone to the house due to Holidays. Terry Vereen plumbing showed up within an hour of placing the call. The after hours answering service was prompt with getting the information needed. I got a call about 10 minutes later from the service guy, Shawn, add I was able to explain the situation and he understood in a short time. He explained the after hours cost well and was patient with me when I clarified to be absolutely sure. I like to repeat things. He arrived about 45 minutes after our phone call. He was nice and got straight to work. He explained what he was going to do before he did it and was able to clear the blockage in about 20 minutes! He even Hagee a discount because he was not here a whole hour. He had to snake it from the roof. He tested the drain before packed up to be sure it was clear. Beware! They charge per hour! I do not recommend. Joe the plumber was very rude and unprofessional to senior citizens. He spent double the time it should have taken to replace some fittings. He also used our old parts, just scraped off the corrosion without asking for our approval. The quality and value were not acceptable. read more

I spoke with Erica in the front office to book an appointment for a minor issue with my faucet and toilet. She neglected to inform me of new, more expensive labor rates. I also asked a time range to expect the tech. She expressed that the 1-3 time window was open. On the day of service at 2pm, I was called and asked again what services needed to be performed. I called to speak with, Kelly, the front office manager the next day and she let me know that she would speak with her front office team regarding these concerns. I was thankful that the technician accepted my 15% off coupon at the time of service, but when I spoke with Kelly, I wasn't offered any incentive to remain a customer of Terry Vereen after several years of loyalty. read more

Accidentally flushed a bottle cap down the toilet and it caused a clogged. We found Terry Vereeen Plumbing through HomeAdvisor.com. I called them on Friday morning, the scheduler was very pleasant and courteous on the phone. She gave me an appointment for the following day, Saturday, from 1000-1200. The tech, Mitchell, called me at 1030 saying he was on his way. He was working on my toilet by 1100 and out of the house by 1130. I was quoted something like $145 for the first hour and $75 for each additional hour (I didn't write it down, I'm not 100% sure of the exact numbers) so I was expecting an astronomical charge for my stupidity. He only charged me $98. I was very happy with that. The only reason I'm giving 4-stars instead of 5 is because the tech made a small mess (mud on his shoes and toilet water on the bowl). Really minor. If I could give 1/2 stars or 3/4 stars I would. Outstanding service. I will definitely call them back if I need other work done. read more

I have used Terry Vereen many times over the last three years. They were always very good. Their prices were reasonable, service was great and office skills outstanding. They always got someone out here the next day at the latest. I had a recent plumbing issue. When I called I was told that the next available appointment was five days out. I made the appointment, the tech had a family emergency and there was no back-up plan to get someone out here. The office person I spoke with today was very rude, and sarcastically said "Well you have another toilet, don't you?" I will not be using Terry Vereen again. I am so dissatisfied and disgusted with their service. read more

I used this company for years with very little complaint. About a week ago, I called them to fix a jammed shower pull in one of the bathrooms. This company charged me $166 for this service by installing a whole new faucet which does not fit properly. I also asked them to check my water pressure. After these two left, my hot water no longer worked. They charged another service call and parts to replace a coil. This wasn't the source of the problem. We ended up with no hot water on Easter Sunday. When I called their emergency service, they informed me that I would have to pay still another higher service call charge, its being a holiday, and they refused to take any responsibility whatsoever for breaking my hot water heater, not fixing it when they came back, and greatly inconveniencing my entire family. They also did not show up within a four hour time frame in either occasion. Update: they called Monday morning to offer me, guess, what! A new water heater. I filed a complaint and asked the public relations person to let the owner I ow what was happening. They offered to make the charges for the second visit off my bill and gave me a price for a new hot water heater. As of Tuesday morning, they are, once again, late. I have had no hot water since Wednesday. Update to the Update: All the issues turned out to be related to a slab leak. They removed the charge for the hot water heater repair, which was never needed in the first place. Everything malfunctioned because of the water pressure problem. This company did a great save and I am a fan again. The price for the lab leak, which took all day and much destruction to fix, was reasonable. read more

Someone came out, said they would get back to me with the estimate, but I never heard anything. I called a week later and inquired about the estimate, and they said they would get back to me soon. It was time to replace my water heater, and I called terry Vereen since they are in the community. Everyone was extremely courteous, and they quoted me a price which did not change. The plumber showed up on time and did a great job. Only one man drained, removed and installed the new water heater alone. Hats off for a great and timely job. I later noticed I had lost water pressure in my kitchen sink and thought it was the result of the new water heater filling. I left it until the next morning and it was the same. I called Terry Vereen back and they scheduled a plumber to stop by. This time they sent two men, and I paid for two men even though one did virtually all the work. They replaced both the hot and cold stop valves, and that wasn't the problem. They later realized the line between the stop valves and the faucet had become clogged due to sediment coming from the water heater (the kitchen faucet was left on while the water heater was draining). They removed a filter from the line, and the water flowed freely. I was originally told the charge was $69.00, and I wrote the check. The plumber then told me he had made a mistake, and it was $122.00, so I wrote another check. Since the line did not have a problem before the sediment from the water heater and the shut off valves actually didn't need to be replaced, I feel as if I was taken advantage of in a major way. A reputable company would have said, "It was our mistake and our fault, and we will absorb the additional charge". I feel taken advantage of since I most likely paid for the 'helper" with the actual plumber as well as the replacement shut-off valves (which didn't need to be replaced". I am sorry to have to say this, but I WOULD NOT recommend Terry Vereen for that reason alone. The guy who changed out the water heater was great, and I was aware of the cost ($900.00) before he came. I was totally not prepared for the additional charge when all that was truly needed was to flush the line from the shut-off valves to the kitchen faucet. read more

We had Vereen Plumbing help us with our house when we purchased it in 1999. They did a full repipe and it was amazing. We have not had an issue with plumbing since then. My water heater sprang a leak. Being on the second floor, the sense of emergency was even greater (even though it does have a drip pan). On April 5,2018 we had our house re-piped since it had been thirty years since it was done and at that time the material presently is not up to code. As a former employee I would say do not do business with this company, the problem boils down to the owner. We were told multiple times to charge things to customers that we did not use or do because the customers are to stupid to know. Also the 7 car pileup on the buckman last week was caused by an employee that was speeding and not paying attention, no administrative action has been taken against this employee. Very disappointed, they told me at 3pm they would be there at 5:30pm to fix a simple pipe and the answering service kept saying they were on the way, or would get back and never did. I waited til 11pm finally gave up. Got mad at the answering service for giving me the run around, then and only then did I get a call from the actual plumber. I had to call to see what was going on only to find out that they didn't even have me down for appointment. The company didn't apologize in regards to their mistake. They fixed a broken pipe in our backyard yesterday. It was an emeregency call as the water was actively flooding out and they were nice enough not to charge us the after hours fee. I called to have a leaking faucet repaired as was quoted $110.00 for the Service charge for the first hour plus any parts. The plumber came and ended up replacing 2 plastic valve stems and spent a total of 20 minutes here. Imagine my shock when I was charged $210.00!! When questioning the tech, I was told that what they charge and that is what I needed to pay. I could have replaced the entire faucet for less! Because I don't have the option for -5 stars. 3rd time called for plumbing on 1924 yr, old house. 1st time, they fixed half the problem, but didn't finish. Within 2 days had to call again, where they explained the house had 2 separate pipes and they only cleared one! Called later for toilet pump piece broken and they replaced the piece. Within a week, new piece broke, but they wouldn't replaced. Had to call another plumber to replace 2 pieces in toilet. Called today for immediate service 4 2 toilets completely blocked. Received a 12:30 - 2;00 PM time. waited until 3 pm, and woman at non customer service told me, it was raining (duh) and they could not work in rain. She admitted she did not call me and let me know. She insisted, I be patient. She is in her office telling me what to do while I am at my home w/ 1 toilet filled w/ human feces, and other filled w/ urine. They could not come the day before! Now, it is 6 hours after the appointment and nothing. they said they MAY come tomorrow, but who knows. the 2 women at customer service are mean, spiteful, and the least serviceable people I've dealt with in plumbing. Have used this company before and they have been okay..by okay I mean they show up and tell us what we can do to fix the problem ourselves. This time I scheduled an appointment for them to replace a tiny piece of PVC on our pool pump...maybe a ten minute job...and nobody ever showed up.
