I needed my back fence replaced after the wind storm we had a few months ago. My old fence posts were very termite infested and the whole thing nearly blew down that day. That portion of fence is only about 50 feet long so it was a relatively small job for a fence company. Bob was out quickly to survey and provide a quote after I called. He came highly recommended by a co-worker who had three jobs done by Bob previously. That co-worker is a perfectionist so his recommendation was good enough for me. Bob's quote was reasonable so I signed the agreement and gave my deposit. Bob explained that he was pretty backed up with jobs and it would be about six weeks before he could get started. That was no problem for me since I was in no rush. The old fence was still standing fortunately. Delays made it an eight week wait but again, that wasn't a problem for me. When all was said and done, it was a two day job (probably closer to a half day each of two days) and the new fence looks great. He was respectful of the yard and clean up was good. I wouldn't hesitate to have him do the side fences for me when that time comes. read more

Called this company figuring I would give them a shot. I made an appointment for 4pm yesterday because that is all they had available. I closed my business early to meet them at my house. It is very frustrating when you are waiting on someone to show up and they don't. I called twice and left a message. Still no response. We contacted BW Fencing to have a vinyl fence put up for my elderly grandparents. Bob, the owner came right out to give them an estimate. Bob took all the time in the world to answer all their questions and to make sure that he would be able to build them exactly what they wanted. He was also friendly and personable and talked with them at great length about his/their service in the Navy. Bob and his company did a spectacular job on my fence. I would recommend them to all my family and friends. When I started calling companies about my fence, it was very difficult to get companies to come out and give estimates. It evidently was a busy spring, due to the early 2016 storms. Everyone was offering to come out in "a few weeks". Some were extremely rude on the phone. Fence company shopping was so stressful because of the expense to replace my existing one and if it is done poorly, I have to look at the results of a bad choice for many years. Bob was recommended and he agreed to came out within a week and provided an estimate to replace my old residential wood fence with a new vinyl one. He told me it would be several weeks before he could start due to being so busy. During that time, he allowed me to visit one of his current jobs to see the quality of his product and workmanship. Before he started, we settled on a price that was the same as other small fence companies and less than the large ones. When they started to demolish my fence they found several issues that would increase its difficulty. The crew had to spend two days trying to get through the rocks in my soil to set the fence posts. It continued to be a difficult job, but Bob still honored the price he had quoted me. The process took a few extra days due to issues with soil and my existing cement sidewalk. He discussed slight modifications that would resolve the issue. Every night, they secured my back yard with an old fence section between my house and the neighbors. Lastly, cutting fencing and digging holes is a messy process, but my yard was ALWAYS clean when they left each day. When they finished, I have a beautiful new fence and gate. Thanks Bob!! read more

Canceled first appointment an hour before, said he " forgot about a dr's appointment" second appointment was 45 minutes late called him said he forgot came by a half hour later. Told him I needed work to be done in four weeks, he said shouldn't be a problem and would get the quote to me in a day or two at the most.....it's been a week, nothing no answer and no call back. Unreliable! Called him for a fencing estimate on Wednesday for a vinyl fence estimate in Pacific Beach. He sounded sincere and stated that he would attempt to make it out that Friday afternoon, which was my first choice and most convienient for me, but he wasn't certain he could make it at that time, but would "try". We did make a firm alternative appointment for Saturday morning at 10:00 am, which was the most convenient time for him. I drove out to the property, no Bob. He was a no show and never did contact me to follow up. Don't waste your time. read more

Bob was great. Reliable, professional, and a really nice guy to work with. He did a great job replacing one of our back yard fences that was rotting out. So when a freak wind storm blew the other one over the next week, we knew just who to call. He did good, solid work at a very reasonable price. Got the work done in a timely manner (3 days for a 135 foot fence that goes up a rocky hill), and cleaned up well when the work was done. I'd definitely use him again! read more

A freak twister blew down the street where I live and blew down the existing wood fence between my townhouse building and the condo building next door. I called Bob, the owner of BW Fencing, since he had done work for me in the past at another home. Bob came out right away to assess the situation and dealt with each HOA president as well as the insurance company. He was back the next day to haul away the fallen fence and continued to deal with all of the parties involved. He installed a beautiful cream colored vinyl fence and gate, dealt with the city and its permitting process, and by the end all of the homeowners, presidents, agents, etc were all VERY satisfied. I have referred BW to many friends and continue to use BW at rental properties. You'll love the fence job if you go with Bob!!! read more

I have used Bob, not only on my own property, but on several properties that I manage for other people. I have found his bids to be very competitive.....he DOES show up on time on the date arranged for....and he uses nails in the wood fences; not staples as some others do.
