Every time I walk into the store, I am greeting by an associate and asked how I am doing and if I can be assisted at all (even at peak times where customers are almost shoulder to shoulder). For a 'smaller' location, Reality A Games has a strong variety and selection of cards, games, collectibles, video game systems, and they even host tournaments. Reality A Games has something for every one of all ages and interests. Currently, I am primarily into retro games only, and I do not have much experience with cards, but from my experience I have noticed there are always customers inside the shop playing Magic the Gathering, and they seem to really enjoy the atmosphere that Reality A Games has created. For years, I have been hunting down big name titles, and smaller name titles across many different generations of systems at Reality A Games. Every time I visit, there is always new games and/or systems that I did not see on my previous visit. The staff here are always happy to help me find what I am looking for, and if they do not have it in stock, they give me great tips on where I can find certain titles and if they may expect it in store soon. From customers coming in to part with their collections, to customers chasing that nostalgia of games they played growing up, Reality A Games and the devoted staff approach you with nothing but the best customer service you have ever experienced in these past few years of retail business. If you are into nostalgic collectibles, then you'll absolutely love it -- it's nostalgia galore. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with the question: "Who remembers?" -- and that really sets the tone for the whole experience. I'm also especially grateful for the 10% discount they give my son when he does a great job at school -- such a thoughtful and encouraging gesture for kids. I was last in the nutmeg stage way back in 2022 when some friends and I drove to Manchester to check this place out, well, we should have checked the hours because it was closed and I wanted to cry. Well, now it's 2026 and a buddy of mine made sure we came on a day they were actually opened and I'm sure glad we did. This store is absolutely perfect from the first room full of arcade machines, on card action figures, and random toys to the video game room full of classics from the Dreamcast, GameCube, and even modern switch stuff. The last room here is vintage shirts and such which I didn't spend much time glancing at, but was a cool edition. It was cool seeing a place in Connecticut filled with old WWF stuff, Big Bad Beetle Borgs, Nintendo Powers, and tons and tons of figures, I wish this place was here when I lived in the area a decade ago. Overall, this is definitely one of my new favourite spots on Connecticut and definitely somewhere I'll be shopping at again on future trips. Even though I left empty handed (can only fit so much back to LA) I already look forward to coming back.
