This is a small Middle Eastern market with a plethora of produce and staples. I usually visit these stores for their bread and Byblos doesn't disappoint. They don't bake any in house, but the have a small section of various Lebanese pitas, some Persian barbari, even lavash and taftoon, all from local bakeries. The best part is the Iraqi breads at the front - when I visited on Monday morning, they had freshly bake Iraqi Khubz, 5 for $7.99. I asked the cashier and the baker is actually a local woman who was in the store at the time! They also have samoon on Fridays. I'll certainly be visiting again - this is the closest to Seattle I've found for a place that sells both types of common Iraqi breads. read more

A hidden place inside the grocery store! To start, the food was amazing!! Meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly spiced and flavored. Everything was made fresh, to-order. There are pleeeennnty of desserts to choose from. All looked delicious! We did not get a chance to try their dessert though. Next time forsure! A few downsides to this place. You order food and checkout the groceries all in one spot with the same person who takes phone orders, checks out grocery customers, and takes your food order. All that to say, expect to wait a long time to order and to get your food order, depending on how busy they are. Their service, well rather how long you wait to order and get your food, is really the biggest downside. Since we came 2 hours before closing, they were out of the shawarma which we really wanted to try. We ordered fries and Ali's special, and waiting 50 minutes to get our order. The cashier was really nice and apologetic about it but wow 50 minutes is a long time to wait for food. However, the food did not disappoint! We'll be back to try the shawarma another time but I hope service gets better. read more

Unfortunately the place is not as good as it used to be. Terrible service. One cashier only taking care of food orders , groceries and answering the phone at the same time. It's just a nightmare to order food and pay there. Plus some of their food products are expired. I had to through away two frozen items I got because they were bad. I am hoping the owner can do something about these issues asap. read more

I used to come here for buying meat but today I had a bad experience with this bald man, the employee working here told me the price as 6.99/lb and when he cut the beaf, the bald man appeared of nowhere and stood to weigh the beef, I was looking at the scale and he put 8.99/lb instead of 6.99/lb. I asked him why you put this amount while the employee told me another, he started arguing that this employee does not work here but the employee was busy cutting meat and look professional butcher. I told him brother please put the prices on each section so the customer knows the prices. Literally it seems a scam or deception or you may call it cheating. read more

Very nice and fresh selection of items from around the globe. Authentic produce, drinks, cheese section, sausage section, and other food items from Asia, East, Near East, and Sub-Continent. They also sell hooka and sheesha. Shopping aside, it's a great outing to see the various items. Love trying new things here. A common entertainment at our home is cheese tasting, sausage tasting, veggie crackers and martinellis. Huge, colorful, selection. Very clean. The staff is very friendly. This place is like a hidden treasure. You probably would never notice it just driving down 99. It's off 99 behind some other buildings. You can find a lot of Arabic/Indian goods here. They have a decent selection. Prices are okay too. It's worth checking out, you will find stuff here that you won't find at other places. Staff could definitely be a lot more friendly and polite. I wish I could like this place. My son and I went there. I can't remember what he had, but he loved it. I had a Mediterranean salad. It tasted a little off, but I was very hungry and kind of wondered if I should eat it. Well I found out the answer several hours later when it decided it didn't want to stay in my stomach. From what I've seen, this place seems pretty cool. It's a small grocery that has a lot of Mediterranean goods at decent prices! It's pretty well hidden on 99 next to the Cash and Carry in Lynnwood. I accidentally noticed it while walking to Star Market and made a note to come back. When I returned, I had bags of groceries, but still wanted to check it out. Plenty of Turkish delights, Armenian goods, and other Mediterranean finds you won't find at Balkan Market and other European markets. Good stuff to be found here! Hmm, first off: The first yelp review of this place, I don't think is for this place. They don't do (and I don't think ever did) salads or anything else restaurant wise. They have a cold case with package meats and olives but I'm thinking the person confused it with somewhere else. Second, despite Yelps listing, this isn't a "mini market" (i.e. like 7/11 or such) it is a small ethnic food store. Looked on their website, nothing says mini market. So my review: Short: Good place to get middle eastern foods, good prices. Long form: The main reason I shop here on a regular basis is that they have the best price on Karoun's yogurt drink I've found locally. I drink the stuff a bunch. Green label with the mint. Beyond that they have a wide supply of ethnic canned goods that are interesting at decent prices. Some of the brands are out of California so I don't know why they're so hard to find in Washington but if you want Egyptian style canned fava stew or Lebanese style beans come here. Olives, oils, etc. About the only downside to the place is its location, hard to see, kind of an odd entrance, and if you have a full shopping cart it's tricky. It's behind Autozone if that helps. If you are there during the work week you might look at the odd restaurant equipment store next door, it's kind of interesting in a "what is that thing?" kind of way. Bottom line: Good middle eastern foods store. read more

Fantastic place with a great selection of Mediterranean groceries. There is also a large selection of frozen halal meats. I have been there a couple of times and am very impressed with the prices. They are cheaper than similar shops and in particular Byblos Deli in Bellevue. When I went a couple of weeks ago I noticed that they have expanded considerably so they are much bigger than before. I went there yesterday for the first time in about 5 years and the place has changed (for the better imho). The meat selection is wonderful, and the guys working there were hard workers and they were helpful(may Allah bless them). It's a little more expensive than non halal meat(I don't buy it but I see it for sale in stores and regular meat shops), which I'm not sure why. Maybe because they think that because they are in america they can take advantage of something that Allah already commanded for us no matter where we live? There is no guarantee that it was raised without hormones or antibiotics or that it was grass fed, so the overall quality is not necessarily better than non halal meat. This place takes me more than an hour to get to, but I didn't find a better place yet short of raising and slaughtering my own animal. If you want halal lamb only, and live near a Costco, they have great quality halal lamb at fair prices, including their whole lambs are much less expensive than this store. I look forward to returning to buy more other types of groceries and plan to get more meat again despite the higher price. read more

I had high hopes for this place, but I was very disappointed from the moment I walked in the door. First, no body greeted me upon entry which made me feel awkward and the register guy was far from friendly. Second, the fruits and veggies were obviously not fresh and on the more expensive side. Third, lack of organization and tidiness. I wanted to try there fresh baklave but the way how they served it made me feel that its not clean so I didn't buy any. After all those warning signs I still wanted to give them a chance and I bought dates biscotti, pita bread, and dried figs. The biscottis were burned and very dry, plus they didn't have any info on where they were made. The figs tasted funny, and I found that they are black from inside once I ripped one in half. The pita bread was okay but was not fresh as they claimed. There is way much better middle eastern markets in the area, I won't go to this place again unless I was desperate . read more

This is the best Mediterranean market around. I wouldn't exactly call it a mini-mart, but it's also not a traditional grocery store. They import standard and specialty foods from the Middle East/Greece - it's a small store but it's pretty full so the selection is quite good. It can be hard to find - it's located just east off of Hwy 99, near the Cash & Carry. They have really great feta and olives in the case up front, and it's the only place I know of in the area to buy halvah and Karoun's yogurt drink! It's also a pretty cost-effective place to buy staple ingredients that you could get at a regular grocery store, like dried beans/lentils and pita. read more

Very disappointed in the store. I've been going there for years, but the last time I went and bought yogurt drink I literally almost died. My mother frequents the store and after finding out that I got poisoning because of the drink, she told me that week prior to the incident she was in there and the owner told her that the refrigerator is not working, but they still had all the perishables in it. She thought it was kind of odd. I always thought the store was kind of dirty but kind of ignored it. Maybe it is a isolated incident, but I will never go back to this place again. They clearly don't care about the customers well being. I also will be contacting health department regarding this issue. And if you think to yourself, "well how do you know if that was a dream that you got poisoned from?" That day I had only fruit and this drink, I am on diet, so it was pretty easy to pinpoint.
