This is what the staff of DD's consider "similar size steaks".
    Breticus E.

Meats are always good but today the bone I am picking is with the staff and the meat they sold me. I came in asking for 4 rib eye steaks that were as close to the same same as possible. This was really bad - almost comical but it did make things really uncomfortable when I'm feeding 3 other adults. These aren't even CLOSE in size and it was obvious that they didn't even try. Next time I'll have to inspect more closely and have them show me all the pieces since they wanted trust issues with customers. Overall - a delicious feast was had by all and that is what mostly matters.

Love this place! From the great selection of high quality meats, to the 1000s of sauces/rubs, fun clothing and unique drinks to the customer service. Classic butcher shop vibes, but with so much more.

Double DD Meats is a very special meat shop indeed. Their meat cuts are of great quality, perfect for making steak tartar. They offer a wide variety of sausages and specialty meat products like pancetta and unique cured meats. There are lots of staff ready to serve you and answer questions. Inside the store, there are multiple aisles of hot sauces. As a fan of spicy food, I found some incredibly spicy hot sauces that I hadn't seen elsewhere. Double DD Meats is a fantastic place to stop by for meat products that you typically wouldn't find at your regular grocery store. Highly recommend for any meat lover!

Ask the Community - Double DD Meats

Do they make they're own sausages and can they make them to order without sugar and nightshades for someone with an autoimmune disease who loves sausages?

We make many that don't have sugar nor nitrates (they are the fresh sausages- anything smoked will have nitrates). I'm assuming you mean nitrates and not nightshades :) Give us a call or come on in and we can point you to some that won't have those…

    Do they sell smoked chickens?

    Sorry, No smoked chickens.

    Do they sell Boudin sausage?

Yes- Mild Boudin and Spicy Boudin. They normally have them frozen or they will make them time to time and put them in the case fresh.

Do they have dry aged steak?

Not sure. Give them a quick call it's the best way to know for sure.

Do they sell Dear or Elk?

I work at Double D's and we do sell deer and elk in our freezer case.

Does this place have snake meat?

I've not personally seen snake meat, but they do have alligator. I would call them.

They had plenty of seating and we were able to fit our group of 6 into a booth. While they only have one grill per table, when the fire is turned on, it is really high so things cook so quickly! They have a couple of different tiers of options, but my family loves galbi so we opted for the premium tier ($45). The mid tier (I believe $35) you can go serve yourself all of the meat, but the premium meats are brought out. We tried galbi, ribeye and scallops from the premium menu, which were all tasty (the galbi pieces were large and marinated well, ribeye was nice and red, and scallops while small, came in the shell). Most of the sides and meats are self service which is also nice. They have many different side dishes (including cheese corn!), different pickled veggies, garlic, lettuce, sauces, and the meats and some seafood like shrimp and squid were self serve including a nice cold meat refrigerator for the thin slices such as brisket and belly. They even have a hot bar that I didn't try with various fried foods. They also had oranges, and my favorite - a self serve soft serve ice cream station! Yum! There were also yogurt drinks at the end. It is a lovely place that I think it is mom and pop - we had a sweet lady as our server and she was nothing but smiles. Things can get busy so it took some time for our premium meats to come out but no worries as there were plenty of self serve things to eat while we were waiting. This is my favorite KBBQ place in the Lynnwood/Shoreline area so far, so will definitely be back!

Since it is essentially self serve, the remaining service provided is rated 2/5 stars for me. Price is expensive - I got the premium set which is no different from pretty much any other set, so I just wasted a bunch of money. Will I come here again? Probably not.

We were there a bit later, just before 8 p.m. on a Monday, and easily got a table right away. I didn't want too much food - at my age I've learned my eyes and stomach are rarely on the same page - but I definitely wanted some brisket...as an amateur smoker I appreciate how much work goes into beef brisket so always try it when I see it on a menu. So I went with the Happy Hour Caesar Salad & Brisket. For $8.50 it was a great value. The fat of the brisket was rendered PERFECTLY. My wife wanted the baked potato but allegedly someone came earlier and bought TWELVE and cleaned them out. Disappointing! But the two street tacos she got off the Happy Hour menu were tasty. My teenager decided to lean in and get the brisket entree. Fries and Mac & cheese as the sides with cornbread. He added some of his brisket to the Mac & cheese and loved it. Fries were crispy (double fried? Or battered?) but didn't get finished - too much food! I had a couple of beers that were good. The tap listing was available on a screen. Service was well-above average. Very friendly. I can imagine this place getting busy during peak hours but it's small enough that they likely can keep up. I doubt we'll be back. We are from out of town and while we come to the Seattle area often I like to try new places whenever possible. But we were very happy with how tonight went. 4.5/5.0 but it won't let me do a halfstar. Give it a try. This isn't a chain restaurant! We were happy to support this one.

There were only one other group when we came in around lunch time on a Sunday. It looks like it gets crowded in the evening so it was a surprise to find the place so empty, but we didn't mind. The lady who was serving us was very friendly and came back a bunch of times to ask if we need more tea. We were there way longer than how much we spend time at typical BBQ place, but she didn't seem to mind, which was nice. We had the beef combo, cold noodles, and squid and veggie stir fry, and that was way more than we needed. We thought the combo comes with only two bowls of rice but they added another one, seeing that we are party of three. That was nice. Banchan was pretty good and I kind of wish I ate more of it before the meat arrived because I got full from other items quickly. Cold noodles were average. Of the four kinds of beef in the combo, I liked three of them except for one (I believe it was the NY steak) - one item was leaner/dryer than other NY steak I had elsewhere. The combo also came with individual sauces (two types - salt in oil and sweet-ish sauce). The sweet sauce was quite forgettable and so I kept dipping the meat in the salt in oil sauce, but I wish they offered other sauce...maybe like soy sauce based ones or just plain salt. The squid stir fry was spicy and I enjoyed it. The combo also came with tofu soup, which was also pretty good. Overall, there were minor stuff that didn't go with my preference, but I had a nice time at WuJu!

So between two places this one won. By the looks they probably have a ton of to go orders or single guys having a beer and bbq at the bar top. She's loves baked beans and they weren't her favorite here. The habanero Mac salad was very well taken by everyone at the table. The plates for 1 they have gives great a pile of meat, fries, hand made and little crispy and Mac n cheese, which was good. We had pork, brisket and ribs at the table. All of which was smoked fairly well. The brisket was good and tender. Pork was a tiny bit dry but the homemade bbq sauces made for it. And the spare ribs were cooked well, they were good for spare ribs but I generally prefer a baby back. Overall the service was stoic, he was spot on with everything but looked as if he was busy with a lot of other stuff throughout the restaurant as well. It's a solid place for bbq, so if you're a bbq fan give it a try. Def a solid lunch spot if you and a couple guys were looking for a place to stop.

We ordered brisket, pulled pork, collards, mac n cheese, and gumbo. The meats were the absolute highlight. The brisket was phenomenal--very tender, fatty, and ultra smoky. Others in our group felt similarly about the pork. We got the Kansas City sauce and, while it wasn't the best I've ever had, it absolutely avoided the common pitfall of being cloyingly sweet. They promise that it isn't too sweet on their menu, and they're right. For BBQ meat, I think Gabriel's Fire is up there among the top offerings in the area. The sides were less great. The collards were divisive in our group. I liked the initial hit of vinegar and the oh-so-subtle kick in the aftertaste. But others found them bland. I will say I appreciated that they at least appeared to be vegetarian/pork-less. The gumbo was quite bad in my estimation. Its only flavor was the roux and salt, and its texture was unsettlingly uniform. The Mac and cheese wasn't bad; very plain but inoffensive. The fries were immensely greasy, borderline burned, but soggy. The only one of these I'd consider ordering again is the greens. They also have no options for any kind of bread--no rolls, no cornbread, nothing of the sort. Maybe it's unfair to judge a restaurant on what the don't serve, but this felt like something that made the meal feel unbalanced. There is a lot of intense BBQ snobbery in Seattle, with many claiming that we don't have any good options here. I disagree, and my credentials are having done a lot of eating in the South (AR & TX mainly). Gabriel's Fire is good BBQ. We are so happy to have it nearby and look forward to returning.

All that to say, expect to wait a long time to order and to get your food order, depending on how busy they are. Their service, well rather how long you wait to order and get your food, is really the biggest downside. Since we came 2 hours before closing, they were out of the shawarma which we really wanted to try. We ordered fries and Ali's special, and waiting 50 minutes to get our order.
