I've been wanting to improve the lighting and other security features of our Oakland home for some time and finally realized, I need some help to get it right! Anthony came by and went through our entire house, inside and out, looking for "soft spots" and recommending ways to harden our home to would-be criminals. Anthony isn't selling anything, and his rate is very reasonable. He cares about your budget and knows ways to get the job done without shelling out a lot of money. A couple of months after we moved into our new home, we had a break-in that happened while we were in the house. Fortunately no one was hurt, but it was pretty scary. I took it on myself to get an alarm, lights, security system and a big German Shepard. I knew that these were improvements, but I found it difficult to find out information about what level of security other homes in the neighborhood had and whether I had really done enough or there were things I was missing. When my husband and I were moving into our new (first!) home I felt kind of clueless regarding home security options. My husband is kind of laissez faire when it comes to security issues, but as a woman I really wanted to take proactive steps to feel safe in my new home. Anthony cares passionately about the safety of his community and clients. We felt secure in our new neighborhood (Fremont, between the Laurel and Fruitvale) and trusted the standard, big-name alarm system that came with the house. Anthony, however, instantly assessed our vulnerabilities and gave my husband a list of improvements to make. He was generous, firm, diplomatic, and culturally sensitive. Anthony recently came over to help us make an earthquake plan, even though our house is structurally retrofitted and it wasn't a "big" job for him. He was generous with his time and looked at every room from top to bottom. As parents with a new baby and a two-story house, we weren't sure what to do when the big one hits. We now have a very concrete plan with some easy fixes to make our various safety spots even safer--and he did all of this as part of his "community service" work (i.e. at no cost).
