Childhood memories are staples that never leave your mind especially the great ones. After a doctor's appt, we ventured over to Byrd's cookie company! It is located on Waters Ave, amongst some other busy business and doctors offices. We entered the store and the smell was priceless! The service was even better. We were greeted and taken on a mini tour of the store. We an opportunity to sample ALLLLLLLLLL the cookies. The walls were covered in soooo many cookies and treats for days. After all the samples and laughter and beautiful smells and decor, lol I purchased two 16 oz bags of cookies: Scotch oatmeal cookies and Key lime coolers. I will always return to the hometown staple! Thanks Byrd!

A Savannah core experience. This business has a very regional flare and own made proprietary baked goods . Among their many storefronts this is my favorite. The original store Near the BAKERY! The staff here is extra hospitable. Maybe they are less frazzled than more touristy Byrds locations ? I always enjoy gift shopping here and they are a happily received gift . The more bags you buy the price goes down per bag !? What a great incentive! During my most recent visit I bought some reindeer festooned holiday "snack bags " of the flagship oatmeal cookies. I was the hero who passed them out to the whole family as we rode around looking at Christmas lights . Such a perfect regional & nostalgic treat for our family outing .

This was such a fun thing to do for an afternoon. They have so much history on their company and how they came about. They have an incredible sample cookie bar that also has rice crispy treats too. The staff were super helpful and knowledgeable about the products. I was very pleased with my experience here. Definitely try the cookies before you buy them! The sprinkle cookies were very good. They also have savory and sweet "cookies" to try!

OH my while walking around the City Market area on vacation in Savannah I had the pleasure of tasting some of these great cookies. Not only was the staff very friendly they offered me a bunch of samples and each one was better than the next. The Peach and Key Lime powdered sugar cookies were amazing and then they had some old standards, new flavors I had not tried and just all around yummy options. The shop was really cute and they had fun containers, gift options, you could mix and match your own flavors. A lot to choose from and a must to visit when you are in town. I recommend this yummy spot!!!

So Someone gave me a small package of these Key lime coolers & I didn't know they would be delicious, so I shared with my coworker & boy y did I do that they were gone in less than 3 minutes...my only issue is I live in California and I can't find them anywhere. Where can I buy them in Los Angeles? HELP

I had the ultimate cookie experience today at Byrd's thanks to Ms. Victoria! We were able to sample all the different cookies they offer which was really helpful for the buying decision. Lemon coolers, pecan praline, almond shortbread and the original oatmeal are my favorites! Yes, I got cookie happy! Ms. Victoria was so friendly and helpful. She is the epitome of Southern Charm! Will be back on my next visit to Savannah!

This is a perfect lunch spot and a hidden gem. I love the atmosphere, the simple menu, and the spectacular service. I had the chopped salad and my friend had the BLT that was on special. I thought that my salad was good, the bacon was cooked perfectly and the veggies were fresh and delicious. My friend has been here before and said the BLT was just okay, but their burgers were delicious. It was a great price point. I bought some wine and cookies in their store after lunch. I will definitely be back in the future!

YES! They finally have gluten free cookies! The world isn't going to end. Lol. I ended up getting their key lime cookies which were delicious. I have tried their chocolate chip as well and I know their downtown location has more samples to pick from as well.

Exactly what you come for - cookies and southern charm. The staff was very comfortable, allowed me to browse independently but answered every question I had honestly and cheerfully. Very cute place. Cookies were Byrd's - small, crispy & flavorful. My cookie jar is now full of salted caramel

The hubby and I got in on a Sunday night without a reservation. Rather than a long wait, we were good with sitting at the bar. Hubby's lemon herb chicken was excellent. I tried it and the roasted semi boneless half chicken was tender and delicious. It was accompanied with garlic fingerling potatoes, charred broccolini in lemon chicken jus. After a long day of travel, I needed good protein so the Collins Burger was a fine choice. It's a double smash, sauce, chopped bacon, and crispy shallots. Cooked well, juicy, and just all around excellent. Had a sip of the hubby's sangria and wow! Probably the best one I've tasted. The vibes here are chic and upscale. In the evening/late dinner hours, it's dark lighting. Service was top notch. They are actually known for their brunch which I would love to try if visiting Savannah again!

We were sitting outside with a little sun, and when she noticed a table had opened up in the shade, she proactively asked if we'd like to move. That small gesture said a lot about the level of customer service. She was friendly, attentive, and incredibly patient helping Alison navigate a dietary restriction. And then came the food! I had the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, and Alison had the quinoa chicken bowl. Everything came out quickly, the presentation was gorgeous, and the flavors were out of this world. We also tried a couple of mocktails and both were fantastic. I came very close to ordering Leo's Big Brekkie because it looks like a protein lover's dream, but I wasn't quite hungry enough to tackle it. Now I already have something picked out for our next visit! Great atmosphere, wonderful service, beautiful food, and an all-around terrific experience. Five stars really isn't enough. The whole place is designed to feel like the inside of a trailer--spray-painted antique chandeliers, old pictures of different trailer parks, and random little details everywhere. It's kitschy, but very intentional, and honestly pretty cool. We came in late after a 4h drive into town after work, and the staff was still super friendly and accommodating. No "we're about to close" energy, which I appreciated. We started with the creamy collard dip, which is basically their take on spinach-artichoke dip, but with collards. Really good. I do think the chips were a little too heavy for the dip--a thinner chip would've been perfect--but that's a small note. The chicken pancake tacos were probably my favorite. The chicken was fried perfectly and still really moist. And at this point, I'm convinced Savannah just knows how to cook chicken. Everywhere we went, the chicken was consistently good. My partner got the grilled apple pie sandwich, which has fried chicken, grilled apples and bacon. He's not even a big pork person, but that bacon was so crispy and the whole combination just worked. Even the waffle fries were good--crispy, fresh and actually seasoned. We had the Grateful Dead and Wicked Kiwi cocktails, plus a couple of shots, and the drinks were strong, good and reasonably priced. Honestly, I don't have a ton of notes here. It's not trying to be some elevated dining experience. It's just a really good late-night spot with good food, strong drinks, friendly service and a fun atmosphere. We sat inside because Savannah in August was not about to have us sitting on anybody's patio. Definitely recommend, especially if you're looking for somewhere to eat late. It was a vibe, the food was good, and it did exactly what it needed to do.

The menu also felt limited for our tastes, with few fish options and very few dishes that appealed to us. I ended up not ordering an entrée at all, which has never happened to me, and was hungry enough to order room service back at the hotel. We do have West Coast palates, but we absolutely loved the creative Southern cuisine at Saint Bibiani, Common Thread, and even the poolside food at Hotel Bardo. If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.
