The chicken here was very good, but way too much breading. The spicy chicken tender had good favor and nice pepper kick. We got the two chicken tenders, 1 hot and 1 normal and my wife really liked hers, normal. We ordered an order of Mac /cheese and size was loads, see my pictures and the spices they added were on point. If we are in the area at future time, we would stop here again. The location is inside the mall, inside food court, not on main street

Thank you Byrd's chicken and Mirella! This meal was yummy. I had the fried chicken sandwich which was battered perfectly. I ate it right away and the outside was super crisp! The sandwich came with pickles and coleslaw on it, 24k sauce on the side, and I added cheese to it. The flavors were great. I ordered the chicken spiced medium, but i think they gave me mild because I ordered my boyfriend's spiced hot and his was like fire. If his was 8/10 spice level, mine was like a 2-3/10. I was expecting more like a 5-6/10. I read other reviews saying that the medium had a good kick, so, I believe that their spice level is usually on point. The sandwich came with fries and those were also cooked perfectly. The outside was crispy and the inside was soft. There was a good amount of seasoning on them too. Unfortunately the fries didn't keep till I got home for my boyfriend to feel how crispy they were, but the burger I got him lasted and he thought it was fantastic! The only negative things I have to say are that my fries and my chicken had a tad too much salt and I wish the chicken was a little juicier. My boyfriends was seasoned better. Oh! And the address on google is wrong. I submit for it to be changed. Google thinks this place is where Half Price books is, but it's not. It's in the Orland Square Mall food court.

Maybe I came at a bad time, but I didn't like this meal. I got a chicken sandwich meal, and here's the breakdown: The macaroni and cheese was laughable. Cheese? What cheese? It was mostly noodles with a very very thin and bland sauce. I didn't expect much, and I didn't get much in the realm of flavor. Overall definitely not worth getting the macaroni. The chicken sandwich was the biggest disappointment. The coleslaw was a decent crunch but very messy, and kind of bland for it being coleslaw. The bun was OK I guess. The chicken itself has a lot of breading but it was large. It was a large piece, but the way it tasted it had kind of a burnt flavor. Even though it didn't look burnt. Which is strange; overall, I didn't like the flavor of the sandwich and it also wasn't flavorful. The pickles help though! Lastly the fries were the only good part of this meal. And the only reason why this rating is getting two. This seasoning on it was delicious there's a good amount of them, and overall they were a good seasoned fry. Similar to a Rally's fry or a Checkers fry but a little thicker and a little less of that seasoning, but still pretty freaking good. The sauce that went with the meal, was also not good. It tasted like barbecue chips, which may or may not be your thing. It is a good amount of food and I was super full, but the tastes were disappointing. In all, I do not suggest a chicken sandwich, maybe the chicken tenders are better but I probably will not be eating here again and I do not recommend this restaurant. And once again maybe it was an off day I don't know but I personally won't be coming back here for the foreseeable future.

I should preface this review by stating that I went to the Algonquin location on a Sunday, and the Orland Park location the following Monday, so it was interesting being able to compare different locations back-to-back. The Orland Park location is inside a mall food court. While the dining experience of a standalone restaurant is much nicer, surprisingly, the food at Orland Park turned out to be better. My wife and I ordered a chicken sandwich w/ fries & drink to share. We went with medium spice since she doesn't have a high tolerance for spice, but I didn't sense any spiciness at all. If I was getting a sandwich for myself next time, I'd definitely go for hot. The chicken was thick enough and not overly breaded; it was good. The cole slaw inside the sandwich was generous, but not the most flavorful slaw I've had. The bun was decent; nothing special, but no complaints. The fries were too many (I think it was 2 sides worth of fries?), but very crispy and tasty; the orange sauce on the side was a nice touch. Overall, enjoyed the food at Orland Park. I think I still prefer Dave's Hot Chicken and Chi-Tea, but Byrd's in Orland Park is another good option to keep in mind.

Terrible service. I ordered here recently and after placing my order and paying, the cashier told me I had to pay more because he got our order wrong. I repeated the order to him several times to confirm, but even after the confirmation it was still wrong. I don't know how you can mess up taking an order after it being repeated to you several times. He then gave us attitude and had to have the last word in. The food is also so wet. The fried pickles were not fully cooked because the batter was still raw on the inside. Not to mention the hair in our food but that was the least of our problems.

Friend of mine posted about going to one in California and they have locations in IL. Decided to look it up and was shocked to find out they have one in Orland Square Mall. Me and friend decided to try them out and we were amazed! Fresh tasty, we loved it. Nice staff too. Coleslaw and Mac and cheese were amazing! Everything! Beats Fry The Coop for sure. Just wish they had a stand alone location so I don't have to go inside of the mall to go eat there. Hopefully they open up another stand alone location. Best of all they're halal too!

#1 combo. Seasoned fries, Mac and cheese and sandwich mild.

The sandwich was a crispy, spicy delight, perfected with some slaw, some wonderful sauce in between a brioche bun.

When we entered we were well greeted by two of the staff. Very friendly and professional people. And although the outside of the business is somewhat plain the inside is really nice. Well lit with a nice layout and atmosphere. I nice mural on the wall as well. My wife ordered the 2 pc white chicken and waffle. For some reason they consider a wing as white meat? Anyhow, you get a wing and a huge breast with a waffle. The chicken is fried and the batter has a nice taste to it. The breast was way over cooked and dry however. But overall it was good at a price of $8.99. I had the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Its served on a regular hamburger bun and the chicken was extremely small. Most of the sandwich was the bun. It was good well and tasted delicious. It comes with a small amount of fries all for $10.99. This item is way over priced and not at all worth the cost. I would value this at $7-$8. Both of our orders were extremely fresh. Cooked to order. It took 30 minutes from order time to get the food which is too long. Neither of us will order these items again but we will return to try other menu items. And the key here is to call in and order ahead.
