I've heard good things about Fatburger from multiple people before. Having just moved around the Orland Park area, I was happy to see a location. Even happier to see turkey burgers and GF buns on the menu. Their burgers are so good!!!! Seasoned so well with a perfect cook. GF buns normally need to be heated/toasted to hold up and not fall apart. The bun didnt feel toasted but it held up well and wasn't too grainy. The order took 12 minutes and it was ice cold. The burger was over cooked and dried out. And the onion rings? Well, I'll never know as they gave me a 3 piece chicken stips by mistake. I had the western bacon bbq fat burger combo and it was alright. I didn't like the 10.00 up charge for the vegan banana milkshake. That's an expensive up charge especially for a small cup. Nothing special about the fries but every bite of that burger was soooo good and flavorful. The milkshakes use premium ingredients I know without asking because I am usually sick within ten minutes of finishing. Absolutely NO issues! That banana milkshake was delicious! I tried the western bbq burger. I don't really think it was worth $10. It was good, but the burger really wasn't seasoned that well. I am not sure if the cook made a mistake, they were a little bit busy with maybe four people waiting. I just feel like it's not much better than any other burger place you can get on La Grange. I didn't know there were Fatburger locations in the Chicagoland area. My wife wanted to try it out. She pick up the food while she was out, so I didn't actually pick the food up. That being said, the burger was amazing. Cooked to order, a burger much like you would find in tavern or a bar, not your commercial burger chain. Smash burger style with all the standard trimming you would find on any burger with additional add-ons if you like. This burger, by far is the largest burger I've ever had from a burger restaurant. I had the double king burger and although the name gives it away, I didn't think It would be so large. To give a better idea, since I didn't take a pic, you could cut the burger in half and share......Very filling.....I also had fries with it but if you're carrying out and you're not eating fries immediately, judging them would be unfair.......I had the fat fries and i'm sure they were probably tasty hot, but unfortunately mine wasn't. I also had a strawberry milkshake. Pretty good burger at this Fatburger redux. The hamburgers are pretty good now, although I think they were just a bit better at the old one. At the old one they put the meat on the grill and cooked it right in front of you while you were there - you could see the process (much like 5 Guys). Now the hamburgers come from the back kitchen where you cannot see the process, and in all probability they are partially cooked before you order ... still a good burger, but a bit smaller and not quite as 5-star fresh and good. The old Fatburger was an exceptionally good hamburger, but the operation was not run very well. They always had teenagers just hanging around and I think that turned off a lot of customers. Now this new Fatburger seems to be better run, and just might be more successful. They have even expanded the menu a lot - especially adding wings, even though there is a lot of competition in the wing category. All in all, this is a nice re-addition to the Orland Park hamburger parade...not the best, but a serviceable entry. Employees were nice and trained well. Only downside was I ate my fries and drank the shake on the ride home so by the time I was ready for the burger I was only able to eat half of it. It was the most juiciest and flavorful burger I've had. it is a very huge burger but i know next time to wait to consume the fries and drink because I'm curious to find out if i can finish it in one sitting. Words can't describe how happy I was to find out that the first Fatburger was opening in the Chicago area. I've been laid up due to back pain and migraines. However, when I found out the restaurant finally opened, I begged my husband to take me. As expected, the food didn't disappoint. The chocolate shake was creamy and delicious. Been wanting to try Fatburger for years and thought I would have to wait till I visited California. But luckily the one in Orland finally open and it was better than I expected! I ordered the traditional 1/3lb w/ bacon and chili cheese fries. The burger was thick and juice. And the toppings were fresh. The chili was better than most chili. It was close to a Detroit coney style chili gravy (my favorite type) but with beans. And I was happy to see they had vegan/non dairy milkshake options for all their shake flavors. Cleanliness is not good dirty windows,floor, and it seems like I'm the first costumer it's 3:00 in the afternoon. Employees are extremely loud talking laughing and using profanity which is unprofessional. Food was ok the cheeseburger had way too much seasoning and mustard, so I had a seasoned mustard sandwich and the steak fries were plain no seasoning aka salt so maybe use some of that extra seasoning on the mustard sandwich and put some on the plain steak fries. This is exactly what we needed. Good burgers. This place is excellent. The food was so great. It has something for everyone. I had the crispy chicken sandwich, my girlfriend had a double turkey burger, four other older adults had the double hamburgers. The grandbabies had hotdogs and that was my very first time seeing them eat all of their hotdogs. The portions are out of this world. The milkshakes were all made from real ice cream and milk. Excellent service. The atmosphere was pleasing, a great ride from the city to get to the south suburbs in Orland. It was just great you gotta go and try it people. It lives up to its name and where they originated from lives up to the name: Fatburger. I'm glad we have one here now in Orland Park.
