My cousin said this was very good and different. Please try. Cafe style you walk in order food and get a number to bring to you.

Went here a few weeks ago. A bit of a late review. I'll start with the really good. The Mash Potatoes were excellent. The Greens were good, that's really a compliment. Most greens i try at restaurants are barely OK. But these were above average. The Catfish was pretty good. Nothing special. Really couldn't taste the lemon pepper much. They also have a number of vegan items. Including an oreo cookie shake made with I think almond milk. It was good, not as sweet, but my stomach like it much better lol. They are a bit pricey I'll have to admit. But it's solid soul food. Have to go back again and taste a few more things.

The service was quick we waiting about 20-25 minutes for the food which wasn't bad we went Sunday June 14th. I got the chicken pasta Alfredo the pasta was really good but the chicken had a very bad burned taste that I had to return it... but the staff was very understanding and allowed me to pick another meal which was the sweet potatoes and catfish and Mac and cheese which was sooo good I forgot to get a picture. Oh can't forget the homemade lemonade. It was delicious!

Stopped in on a whim. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Smells very strongly of perfumes/room sprays. No smell of food or anything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was okay, not greeted or anything. It's counter service, order, take a number, sit and wait. Water with lemons on the back table with cups to fill it yourself. Tried to order a drink, was told I had to sit at a table and wait for someone to come and take that order. Very annoying if you can only use one receipt to expense- but anyway. The young lady working, I didn't get her name but she was very very kind. Looking at other reviews, she's def been there for a while and knows what she's doing! Wings were 9/10 amazing, crunchy, meaty and flavorful. soul rollllls baby!! 8/10 So good. The crunch was great, flavors all came together so well! Some parts were really dry but definitely could be overlooked lol. That's how good they were. Jerk chicken nachos were a -1000/10 for me. The cheese was INSANELY coagulated on top, no flavor at all. Like nasty microwaved cheese sauce. The chips were stale. The flavor of the chicken was decent but it was dry and cold. Whole thing was inedible. pink French 1/10 first things first, the plastic flute was off putting. It smelled weird and the outside felt as if it was washed with a Brillo pad, I hated that. It was warm at best and tasted like boxed juice. No bubbles, no flavor really. Just juice. Def wouldn't recommend! Overall, I would probably come back but not in a rush to do so!

Me and my girls had a Stanley party there. It was very nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was terrific, but it did take a long time like an hour to get our food but overall everything else was good.

The food is delicious!!! Best tasting FRESH fried catfish I had in a long time. The Mac and cheese was excellent, the collard greens tasted like they came from a can and they were not seasoned. The jerk chicken was flavorful and well seasoned expertly. I was not a fan of the red beans and rice they were bland. We had some soul rolls which had collard greens, candy, yams, and mac & cheese. Inside of them. Those were absolutely amazing. I dined in and the service was disappointing, and they put your food in plastic containers, even if you're dining in. I am not a fan of eating out of plastic containers when I am dining at a restaurant. The inside had a beautiful vibe to it and the music was soulful 90s R&B. I would return for their delicious food, but only place a pick up order not interested at all in dining at a restaurant with serves you food out of plastic containers.

SCRUMPTIOUS!!!! Soul Vibez was an unforgettable dining experienced my family and I loved. Soul Vibez atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. The staff was well Mannered & nice. They were quick with placing orders and receiving. Total time was 30mins. The place was spectacular clean, pretty props, spacing, and gorgeous back drops for memorable times. The menu was a soul food type of vibe. Comfort food for the soul as my grandmother would say. We ordered salmon bites, chicken Alfredo with a hint of jerk sauce, soul rolls, cornbread, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes with the lamb chops! We definitely had a feast. Everything was delicious, flavorful, tenderness and just DAYUMM tasty! Located in Orland park. You can order online or pickup. Everything is boxed to order BUT can asked to be plated for a more dinning experience to the liking.

Loved my salmon but this was a napkin I used to soak up the excess oil

My $26 lunch was delicious!!! This place isn't new but my first time there. I chose the stuffed salmon, mac and cheese and greens. Typical choices, but delicious. The Mac and cheese and greens may be the best I've ever had in a restaurant. The only complaint I have is the grease my salmon sat in... last pic is the grease I soaked up before eating. Service was delightful and efficient. Can't wait to return to try other dishes. They also have an extensive vegan menu. -- at Soul Vibez.

It surely didn't disappointed our taste buds. The nice lady behind the counter gave us some recommendation on the food. The prices are decent for the amount of food that you get. I won't even complain when it comes down to some good food. I ordered the Pot Roast Dinner which came with 2 sides. I got the yams, rice and Texas Toast. The only thing that could of been better was the rice. The ambience is chill and relaxing. Super friendly and welcoming staff. I will certainly come back to this location.

I think for a small establishment, the music might be a bit too loud because it can be difficult to hear each other talk, but I appreciate the high-energy vibe it brings. We stood in line behind a couple that dined in, so my guess is if you want to dine in, before grabbing a table, you stand in line and inform the cashier/host. They will follow you to the table and bring you the menu. Hubby ordered the rib tip dinner with mashed potatoes and candied yams. I ordered the fried catfish dinner with mac-n-cheese and corn. Both dinners come with garlic bread. Portions are huge. Hubby thought the ribs were okay but loved their BBQ sauce because it has a slight kick to it. I love the catfish! It is seasoned well and fried perfectly. We both ordered the Lemon Italian cream cake and took a small bite of it so I could post my review, and it is just as delicious! If you are in the neighborhood and want a bite to eat, give this place a try. They also serve drinks and I think the Daiquiris are the only ones that they offer as carry-out. We will be back to try other menu items.

Music is pretty loud in this small space. We decided on the 3 entrees for 69.00 with a glass of wine. We chose the pepper steak, smothered chicken, orange chicken, catfish and spaghetti, and the bbq catfish. Overall the food was ok., The bbq fish was a little to fishy and the smothered chicken was heavily salted. The star of our 6 dishes was the fried piece of catfish. The food came out quickly but nothing was piping hot. The server was OK as well, he did exactly what we expect of a server nothing more nothing less. I will say next time I would take the drive to the West side location, to me the food choices are better as well as the service.

We get there and there is a cute young girl who greets us with an apron and chef's hat on. She seats us and takes our order - she was our waitress which surprised us. I ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup to have before my meal. I'm glad I got a cup and not a bowl. The cup was only half full. The soup was lacking flavor so I added pepper. The woman who is GrannyMa delivered the soup. She didn't speak to us or anything the entire time while we were there which didn't feel too nice. They were sold out of the beef liver, beef shortribs and sweet potatoes. We ordered the fried chicken (menu states it takes 20-25 minutes for the chicken) and the salmon croquettes. Each dinner comes with 2 sides each so we got the macaroni and cheese, green beans, dressing and mostaccioli (slight extra charge for the mostaccioli). Fried chicken was crispy and delicious! Seasoned well. The croquettes were good also - they give you two big patties in the dinner. We weren't impressed with the green beans as you can tell they came out of a can. The dressing was only okay. The mac and cheese was pretty good but the best side was the mostaccioli - it had a layer of cheese on top and was really yummy. I wish I had gotten that as a meal, it was that good and highly recommend it. For dessert I got the peach cobbler sundae which is peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream on top. The cobbler sauce was very thin. I like cobbler that has alot of flaky crust but this didn't have that but it still was good enough to eat the whole thing. The young girl brought us our bill. The prices are so reasonable for what you get. Our bill was only $62 with tax for all of what we had. The place is bright with warm colors inside. We conversated with the son-in-law to GrannyMa's, he was very nice and personable. Although the young girl was sweet, I felt some kind of way of her being our waitress because clearly she is underage to be working. We were told they have a Sunday brunch from 11-3 that includes a DJ. To my friend and I, the food overall was either hit or miss. One review mention about GrannyMa engaging them in conversation - she never came over to our table except to drop off the soup and she is the owner of the restaurant. Not a good way in customer service if you ask me. Overall, okay.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon and found the restaurant virtually empty. There seemed to be a steady flow of takeout pickups, but there wasn't anyone dining in, so we had the entire place to ourselves. Our waitress was a young girl who was pleasant and friendly. My sister and I both had the catfish. I ordered the greens and mac & cheese while she had the dressing and greens. We both loved the mac & cheese. My sister kept stealing bites of it off my plate! Lol She enjoyed the dressing as well. Neither of us liked the greens, though. I believe they were turnips, and we prefer collards. We also didn't care for the Johnny cakes. I prefer mine a little sweeter. The catfish was good but could've had more flavor. My brother had the fried chicken, and his mom had the salmon croquettes. All three of them LOVED the croquettes! I didn't have any, but they were definitely a fan favorite! My brother loved the chicken and sweet potatoes. I had the brownie for dessert, which I didn't care for. My sister didn't like it either. It was dry and was just okay taste-wise. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Since we were the only ones dining in, it was really quiet and relaxing. We sat at one of the large tables, but there are also comfortable benches along the wall and window. The service was excellent and you can tell that the family takes pride in going the extra mile. Overall, the experience was pleasant, and I'd go back.

My niece and I couldn't believe this was our first visit, especially after hearing so many great things. This place is incredibly popular, so I definitely recommend making reservations. After checking in, we waited less than five minutes and struck up a fun conversation with two lovely ladies who were also first-timers. It was the perfect start to the evening. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and inviting, with Mardi Gras beads and colorful carnival masks throughout the restaurant that give it so much character. Our server was fantastic. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but he was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations made choosing from so many tempting options much easier. Now let's talk about the food... EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious! To kick things off, I ordered the Creole Voodoo Zombie, and my niece had the Hurricane. Both cocktails were fantastic and set the tone for an amazing meal. My niece is an excellent cook herself and has dietary restrictions, so dining out can often be disappointing. That's what made this experience even more special--she genuinely loved every bite. We started with the crab cake appetizer and the BBQ shrimp appetizer, and both were packed with incredible flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened ribeye, swapping the broccolini for the collard greens (worth the $3 upcharge!). The steak was perfectly cooked, and those collard greens were phenomenal. My niece chose the blackened red snapper étouffée, and she couldn't stop raving about it. Even though we were completely full, we couldn't leave without dessert. We shared the Mississippi Mud Turtle Brownie topped with marshmallow fluff and the strawberry shortcake. Our server suggested pairing the brownie with a butterscotch liqueur, and I'm so glad I took his recommendation--it was the perfect finishing touch and complemented the dessert beautifully. We've been talking about this meal ever since we left...and that's probably the biggest compliment I can give. In fact, we were so impressed that we made reservations for next weekend before we even left--and we're bringing two friends with us! Perfect for: Date nights, celebrations, or anytime you want a memorable meal that's worth planning ahead for. Maple Tree Inn absolutely lived up to the hype. 10/10--highly recommend!

The restaurant itself is pristine--clean, polished, and classy without feeling stuffy. Service was just as strong. Hubby ordered the rib tips with fries, baked beans, and had the hot and mild barbecue sauce on the side. I ordered the 1/2 dark smoked chicken dinner with mac-n-cheese, spicy Cajun green beans, and spicy honey garlic barbecue sauce. I agree with Robert, that the sauce pairs very well with the chicken. The tips were tender and falling off the bone. He didn't care for the fries and loved the baked beans, even though they were a bit too spicy for him. My chicken was also very tender and I enjoyed the smokiness. The green beans had the right amount of spice although they were not as spicy as the baked beans. The mac-n-cheese was creamy. We were too full to order dessert. Maybe next time. This is a great neighborhood staple and will definitely be back.
