I ordered online for pick up and ate my food in my car before I left. The great: - My food was ready right when I walked in. - It was hot (as in freshly made) and made correctly. -The person who was behind The Counter was very welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed before I left. The okay/good: The food is OK to good. I ordered a medium-spiced single slider with everything on it and added cheese. The outside was super crunchy, which was good, however, the chicken itself was overcooked and dry on the inside. I judge my chicken places based on whether they cook their chicken properly. And something that drives me crazy is when the chicken is dry, which is why I rated this location a three out of five. Overall, the flavor was good, but could be better. I felt like it was lacking salt. The medium has more of a mild spice. But it doesn't seem to have a lot of flavor. The Dave's sauce is a sweet and tangy mayonnaise-based sauce, which is actually yummy. I look forward to coming back and trying it a second time to see if it was just a fluke that the chicken was dry. And I also am thrilled to see that they have cauliflower on the menu because I love fried cauliflower so I will definitely be trying that. Dave's Hot Chicken is so. so good! I brought my co-workers here for lunch and they were blown away. The staff and managers are incredibly helpful and cordial. You can see that they are happy to work there. They are always cleaning and moving as quickly as possible. The chicken is so flavorful and juicy. It is especially good with the kale coleslaw accompanied by pickles. The bread and bun is also really good. The dries are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Seasoned to perfection. The restaurant is colorful and lively with music playing. The prices are so reasonable. It truly is the best value fried chicken you can get. Per my college kid's request, he wants to try Dave's hot chicken sandwich in a couple of flavors and it was exceptionally delicious! Our very first time and I must say this is the most delicious spicy chicken sandwich hands down! This is a new venue here in Orland Park. I was really excited to give it a try. And so glad I did! I am not exaggerating one bit when I tell you that this is the best chicken I have ever had in my entire life! No exceptions! My wife had the 10 piece nuggets with no sauce or heat. Boring but tasty. I love Dave's usually and have been to the Schererville , Indiana location several times. However, today our food was not good at the Orland location. I ordered through the app. I ordered a 10 piece medium cauliflower tender bites and was given a few pieces of chicken instead of cauliflower. Also the 10 piece had hardly any medium flavor. I could not taste it at all. I was extremely disappointed. My fiance liked his hot cauliflower tender bites but also said they were lacking sauce on several pieces. Ate here for the first time this week and the pricing was fair. I ordered the 2 tenders mild spicy with fries. The value was good and the quality of meat was good. I will say I was not crazy about the powdery topping they add onto the chicken but the taste and quality made up for it. They also allow you to pick spice level from no spice all the way up to extremely hot. I did the mild spice and it had a small kick nothing crazy at all, most definitely doable if you are sensitive to spice like I am! I had to wait seven or eight minutes for a simple carry out order and watched as six in restaurant orders were ordered and received before me but again not a big deal. The key is the food which was good, not great. Definitely better than Chic Fil A or Popeyes. I give it 4.25 stars / five if I could! read more

Good service, the employees are maybe a little too nice , food was also good. Heavily spiced chicken/fries (dry rub essentially). I could taste alot of chili powder and possibly as some Indian type masalas. It was kinda expensive but worth a try. I think canes is still my go to. read more

I feel terrible. I did not get the manager's name, but whoever the manager was that was working 2/18/25 at around 7:30p is just the nicest person ever. I came in with my two teenage kids my eight-year-old. I got them a meal each and I did not get anything because per usual my kids come first and I couldn't afford a meal that night. The manager came up to me and asked me where my food was. I told him I'm broke.. and it's really ok I wasnt hungry...he proceeded to ask me what I wanted. I told him no that's not necessary. He said no I'm not gonna take no for an answer. I told him to choose bc I felt bad I don't like asking for help as a single mom of 4. He brought me two sandwiches and a macaroni and cheese on the house. The young lady working was also just the sweetest ever and made sure that we felt very comfortable and she was very informative bc it was our first time there.
