I love their toasted made to order sandwiches. Ham and Swiss Cheese my favorite. I only take the 1/2, and it's a hearty meal. I like the fact that they are open late, so I was hungry after the concert and went over there to eat. There are already made sandwiches to go as well. Going for the pizza next time. I came for the pizza, a free Cheese slice given to customers. Not bad, although the dough is kind of chewy. The crust was nice and crispy. I purchased Chicken Tenders and a drink. I called at 10:30 am to order a breakfast pizza for 1:30 pm. When I got there to pick it up, I was told the pizza was never put in the oven and I would have to wait 10 minutes for the pizza. I said "no thanks". You would think that calling 3 hours before the time I needed it by would have been enough time. The two clerks didn't even apologize for their mistake. Unbelievable! read more

August 8, 2022 / 7:00 pm I went to purchase $50 in gas, grab a sub, chips, chocolate milk, etc. I waited for the older woman (short hair) to attend to me in the sandwich area (HER area). She gave me a dirty look as she scooted by me. I guess I couldn't order a sandwich anyway, as she had the electronic board turned off. She clearly hates her job. She's definitely not people focused. A very nice cashier (younger, tats, dark hair) in a different area offered to make the sandwich, as this older woman clearly wasn't interested. I politely declined as I wasn't about to give the store the $80 I was about to spend. Kudos to this worker for trying to save this, and future sales. Unreal!!! When are these $15-18 an hour workers going to be satisfied????? The service has never been worse at places like this. read more

It's about time that another one of these opened! Byrne Dairy is unique in its own as it's pretty much a convenience store miracle. It's big inside and its most feature going for it is the full service deli. Here, you can get fresh sandwiches and pizza slices at reasonable prices. It's very good for gas station food and in addition, Byrne Dairy sells their own ice cream and custard. If you really want to try out Byrne Dairy, the ice cream is the main staple. Despite LuGia's being just down the road, Byrne Dairy's ice cream shows some stiff competition. The price of a small cone is considerably cheaper then LuGia's but the portion size is generous but not excessive. The ice cream has its own unique taste and I personally recommend the vanilla but I have yet to try the other flavors. Don't want to go inside? Just use the exterior window and you can enjoy the treat on one of the nearby picnic benches. Besides the fresh food, this convenience store offers a small variety of foods like candy and soft drinks at average prices but you can buy all Byrne Dairy ice cream flavors here but you will have to pay a premium to get those select ones that you can't find in major supermarkets. The staff is very polite and they all appear to enjoy their job. It feels more like a small deli at some points rather than a gas station but it makes it all the more welcoming to visit. For gas, you can sign up for a Byrne Dairy card to save money on gas but the card will be tied to your checking account so use with caution. If you just want to use credit or cash, gas is fairly inexpensive in contrast to the Valero just across the street. All in all, Byrne Dairy is a welcome addition to the area and I will proudly be a returning customer since it's only a 10 minute walk from home. If you crave ice cream, need gas or need a quick lunch to go, Byrne Dairy is sure to meet those requirements. I hope the success of this store will lead to more being built but will that be true? This is not a reflection of this store, but of their corporate office and Rewards Card Process. Specifically one corporate staff member in particular who was less then helpful, Mr. Robert Mushner. I completed the online application for a rewards card and inadvertently transposed 2 numbers when entering my checking account. They no longer use a pre-auth process to confirm the information before issuing a rewards card. Rob stated that they do run into this problem on occasion and it is difficult to resolve. Issue #1. Issue #2. The email notification that my payment was unpaid due to insufficient information was kind enough. It stated that I needed to update my information. When I logged into the website a warning popped up stating that I could not update the information. Issue #3. Called the number located in the email, waited for an extended period of time and then told to call another number. The second number was to a Recovery Service named Certegy. After wasting an hour of my time and paying the bill with the corrected account number, I was told to call Byrne back to have them update my checking account. Issue #4. In the meantime, I receive an email stating they could not approve the account they had already approved because of negative information from Certegy. Issue #5. I call the corporate office and I am transferred to Rob. He explains that he will work with the internal Certegy representative to resolve the issue, but that it can take some time. He PROMISES that he will call me back at the end of the day with an update. Not only does he not call me back that day or the next and then when I call him on day 3 he is less than apologetic. He will get with the rep and call me back. Right.... Oh, got a letter today from Certegy Check Services "through no apparent error on your part"...but here I am spending valuable time due to Byrne Dairy's inept systems and staff to save others the headache. Have you ever stood in a convenient fast track business that didn't wait on you even after 5 minutes? Only one other person in the store and 6 employees. They kept talking and walking in front of me at the counter, never made eye contact or acknowledged me at all. The manager was there sitting at a table and when I asked if anyone was working the register she looked up and then went back sitting at the table. The others kept talking away. So I announced I was going to buy my stuff next door and heard a sarcastic "Ok I can take you" . Here's the best part... they all mocked me on the way out the door like they didn't need my business. Like "good riddance we do enough business without you" , go ahead and see ya!! . Well that's pretty bold given that me and my family are in there multiple times a week and my husband stops at nite on his way home from work. I can take lazy and stupid but insults from people who are stupid and lazy and whose paycheck I make possible is where I draw the line! I plan on copying this post and forwarding it to their main corporate location. So much for "being in the neighborhood" !!! read more

I bought a house and 6 months later this Byrne Dairy was done being built. I go here frequently. The food is great, I love their wings. Staff is friendly but I've noticed an increased trend in only having one employee at the counter during busy times. Typically there will be 3-4 other employees in the cooler, outside smoking instead of helping with a line that can stretch to the door. I feel that there has become a lack of attentiveness the last few months. Clearly there needs to be a Manager who guides the flock to help customers who are waiting in line instead of doing odd jobs and eating/ taking breaks behind the counter. Public perception: 11 people in line. 1 cashier and 3 other employees not helping customers....??? Priority should be moving the line as quickly as possible. I will not be going here during morning/evening rush hours anymore due to mis management. I hope they turn this around!!!! read more
