The staff is utterly rude, treating patients like they are numbered scum; walking through the office w/ noses high. My very last visit to the office was when I learned my dentist had moved, thus leaving me to get a filling from Dr. Barr. He assured me I wouldn't need a numbing shot, but if I felt pain to let him know and he would numb me up. 1/2 way through the filling, I motioned to him and the asst. that the pain was too much - he DID NOT stop, kept on w/o giving me a numbing shot and finished the filling. After the fact, he said "we were almost done, so I figured you could manage". WHAT?!?! I have never been so displeased w/ a Dentist. I could not have tracked my Dentist's new location down fast enough. The billing is a completely different story all together. 4 months after I left this location - back to my original Dentist - I got a statement from Dr. Barr stating I owed $23. No detail as to what this was for... but they were sure to say it was 90+ days overdue and was going to collections. Jan. 2011 and they are saying I still owe from a visit back in 10/2009! Seriously? They didn't know the 6 times I was in there over the past year that I owed money? Something is fishy! Come to find out from my Dental Insurance, The 10/2009 visit was paid at 100% for a cleaning yet the Dentist office is attempting to collect the difference. When there is a preapproved amount for a procedure through the insurance company, that is ALL the provider is able to collect! This place of business is not honest and should not be trusted! If you are fine with these actions, then by all means feel free to make an appointment here! But if you want quality over quantity w/ a smiling face and someone who actually listens to you, then I would suggest finding another Dentist!

A patient of nearly a decade, I just tried to book a routine cleaning and said that I didn't need…read morean exam or x-ray. The former was not needed because I wanted an appointment as soon as possible and presumably not seeing a dentist could expedite scheduling; the latter was not needed because I am actively trying to become pregnant. The office told me that I would not be able to have a cleaning without an x-ray because "the law" requires that dental patients get x-rays at mandated intervals. I have researched all Florida statutes and regulations concerning dentistry: There is no such law. Apart from this lie, the office also informed me that pregnant women were fine to get x-rays which cause less radiation than "going outside." While I don't have data on that point, surely that cannot be the case. Moreover, it's worth mentioning that the one time I did have an issue, it could have been diagnosed with the x-ray Dr. Bailey performed. She, however, apparently didn't review the x-ray.

She is competent, skilled and makes me feel at ease. She remembers me and my "mouth". Dr. Bailey is a gem as well. She addresses all issues and concerns and responds with appropriate treatment plans. I must give a shoutout to Britney, the hygienist scheduler. She looked for availability to "fit" me in. And when nothing was available she said, I'll keep my eye on it and if something opens up I'll call you. She was true to her word. Britney called me the next day and offered me an appointment that same week. I was thrilled. I highly recommend this dental practice!

I reported them to the better business bureau. I'm going to talk about the facility setup for most of this review as this is why the rating is low. Receptionist never sent me new patient paperwork over the weekend before my appointment on Monday. That's fine, but they wouldn't see me until it was complete and it took me 30 minutes. Once they called my name to come back they sat me down in the XRay room, handed me a bill and asked for payment immediately. Said we could not continue the appointment without payment.... major red flag! Most reputable medical office would never do this!! Okay fine, with insurance $143 dollars... Like others were saying they NEED to do the oral cancer screening. I've had that done at other dentist... they never even used the oral screening device on me while I was there... Again major red flag!! X-rays done then they take me back to an actual cleaning room, they say let me turn on Telehealth for you to see the doctor... All the "doctor" does is look at your x-rays, and they rely on the dental assistant to actually look at your teeth... again, this is a major red flag!!! The dental assistant says her teeth look great, I suggest a regular cleaning, "doc" says great do that. Since my teeth were in good condition they did it on the spot, which took 10 minutes. But usually you have to make a separate appointment to get your teeth cleaned. I would seriously NEVER recommend this place to anyone!! Even though the dental assistant who assisted me was a sweet girl and I have nothing bad to say about her. This facility is sketchy, they squeeze every dollar they can out of you, all while NEVER seeing a physical doctor. DO NOT GO!!!

People should know that with today's technology going to the dentist should not be painful. I've had a lot of dental work done over the years and this particular office (Blairstone location) has been the most consistent painful/uncomfortable treatment and procedures ever. Wonder if another location would be better?
