    Single cheeseburger and fries

Saw this place on Instagram and decided to give it a try and to be honest it's actually really good. I do enjoy a non-fancy Smashburger that is full of flavor. They don't have a super extensive menu, which is actually a plus for me just burgers fries. Drink is exactly what I was looking for. The burger was well seasoned, and they have so many sauces to choose from. Another huge plus for me was the soda machine it's not your typical Coke and Pepsi machine. It had soda with legitimate cane sugar!! Definitely will try it again and maybe try some of their fresh baked cookies as well!

One thing about me... if a burger spot is sitting at almost 5 , my curiosity is immediately activated. We actually stopped by the day before, only to find out from another customer that they were closed. That little detour made me even more determined to come back. And I'm glad we did. First off... I appreciate a simple menu. Don't give me 47 burger options and a personality test before I order. BYTE keeps it straightforward, which I genuinely love. Hubs and I both ordered the House Burger (single patty) exactly as it comes. No modifications. No extra fuss. The burger? Solid. The smashed patty had that crispy edge situation going on, and those hand-cut fries were definitely a win. If you've been around my page long enough, you know hand cut immediately earn bonus points. Hubs also ordered the chicken nuggets. They were okay. Not bad... just okay. They weren't heavily seasoned, so maybe an extra sauce would've elevated the experience a bit. Now let's discuss the one thing that prevented a perfect score frfr... The shake and I were not aligned. I wanted a shake. I was mentally prepared for a shake... so to hear it wasn't unavailable . Was I mildly disappointed? Absolutely. Am I working too hard on my fitness journey not to enjoy one of life's greatest pleasures... good food and a good shake? Also absolutely. The staff was friendly during my brief inquiry about the shakes, and the overall experience was pleasant. The restaurant itself was clean, had a cool retro vibe, and even featured a Polaroid photo wall, which added a nice personal touch. Ordering is primarily done through kiosks, which is great for efficiency and for those who'd rather skip small talk. If that's not your thing, you can still order at the register. Oh... and they have cookies too. Overall, BYTE delivered a quality burger experience with a clean concept, good food, and a vibe that works. Rating: 4.5/5 The missing half star belongs to the unavailable shake. Had that shake been in my hand, we might be having a very different conversation.

Byte is serving one of the better smash burgers in the Tampa Bay area. A tip right off the bat: this place gets busy. We showed up right when they opened at noon, and that felt like the right move. From the outside, it actually looked closed because of the tinted windows and the fact that the open sign wasn't on. Don't let that fool you, give the door a try. Ordering is done through touchscreen kiosks, which makes the process quick and efficient. The menu is refreshingly simple: three burger options, fries, chicken nuggets, and cookies. My only complaint is that it's difficult to tell what the various sauces are when ordering, especially when selecting the included sauce for fries. A simple sauce guide on the kiosk or a sign near the ordering station would make a big difference. The food was excellent. The fries were crispy, flavorful, and exactly what you'd want alongside a smash burger. I ordered the truffle burger and also tried the classic. While the truffle burger was very good, I actually preferred the classic with Byte sauce. That's the one I'd order again. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and they seem to have a great system in place for getting food out quickly despite the crowds. There are a few seats inside, but I imagine finding a table during peak hours could be challenging. The branding and overall aesthetic are well done and give the place a polished, modern feel. Overall, Byte delivers on what matters most: outstanding smash burgers, great fries, and efficient service. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the Tampa Bay area and craving a quality burger!

Was invited to Byte for an exclusive sneak preview and they did not disappoint. The ambiance was giving true retro diner and very clean vibes. The staff were super friendly and even gave me some suggested sauces for my meal. The food came out fresh off the grill which I loved! I had the truffle burger single with hand cut fries. That truffle burger was so juicy and flavorful while the fries had that perfect crispness. I opted for the vanilla cream beverage which was fire! Overall the experience was a 10/10. Looking forward to the grand opening in April :)

Love Byte Burgers! The House Burger and Truffle Burger are my go to orders, and I always get them as doubles. Great flavor, fresh ingredients, and perfectly crispy smash patties. The Cookie Crumble was so good too. Definitely worth a visit! Fast service too!

The new best burger in Tampa just entered the chat!!! Highly impressed with both the house and truffle burgers, plus fresh hand cut fries?! Even my 3 year old loved it which is a win. The patties were thin, crispy, flavorful, super soft fresh bread, and no skimping on the toppings. Super cool vibes and awesome service too. They will definitely be seeing more of me!! Truly a 10/10 in every category.

Ethan, Mike, Ben, and Jordan are the A team! Food was definitely worth the drive. Make sure you try a truffle burger and get the tenders as well! You will not be disappointed. The best part about this place is that they are not stingy with the truffle!

I finally made it to try the new Byte Burger. This place is local to Tampa and family owned. It's good, it's your classic smashburger place. There's 3 options, I went classic for my first time. Everything tasted very fresh and not overly greasy not even the fries. They tasted like potatoes and not frozen fries. The sauces is where it's at though. They are handmade sauces which makes it even better. If I were to recommend two, it would definitely be the truffle sauce and the Bucs. The truffle sauce was so good I ended up dipping my burger and fries into it. The place was very clean very simple to maneuver through and the service was great. The owner was very helpful and informing me the flavor profiles behind each sauce and was there if I had any questions. My only note would be to add some sort of labeling to the sauces I ordered four because I wanted to taste all of them and I ended up getting confused, but I shortly figured it out after tasting them.

    Best burgers in Tampa!

Amazing burgers, definitely recommend! Stop by here if in the tampa area!! Recommend the truffle burger and fries!

Burgers were burnt, fries burnt and soggy nasty food, too high price wise. Too many better places. I won't be eating here again.

Waffle Burger: I had mine without cheese, a unique quirk of mine, the patty was less dense and saltier, a contrast to the quality I'm used to. While the bottom half of the waffle was soggy, fell apart when picking it up, even an air fryer couldn't save it. I eat the rest and it was ok at best, overall was hoping for better. Fries: The fries were ok, nothing too special. Overall I'd give it a 2/5

Everything was fresh, flavorful, and really well put together. For the price, the quality was impressive. Our total came out to $67.93, and it was worth every penny. Seating is outdoors, but it's covered and they have fans set up to help with the heat. Unfortunately, we came right at 2pm and it was brutal outside , definitely made us wish we had taken it to go around that time . Still, the service was great and our waitress was super sweet, which made the experience a lot more pleasant despite the heat. If you're looking for a solid, satisfying burger from a food truck that doesn't cut corners this is the spot. Highly recommend!

We went, hoping to have a great burger and support a local business. They don't serve alcohol, and they only offer one flavor of milkshake (Nutella on the day we visited). You order at the counter if eating out, or the server will take your order from your table if you are dining in. There are only a few seats in the whole place, and the largest table is for 6. I ordered a nacho burger. My daughter ordered a side of fries and the quail eggs. My son ordered the COVID-19 burger. My husband ordered a classic cheeseburger with a side of fries. The food took a reasonable amount of time to come out. The server was running the cash register, taking orders, and delivering food, so the food came out one plate at a time in between his other work. My daughter's quail eggs were overboiled and served cold. She ate them all, but they were pretty blah. The fries were good. We only received one order, rather than the two. Not sure where the miscommunication was in the kitchen, the server was surprised and confused when we pointed it out when the check came. My burger was excellent. It was salty and crunchy and cooked to a medium as requested. My only complaint was that the bun was served cold. If you can't grill or toast it, at least steam it so it isn't cold? My main complaint is the price is closer to a real restaurant price, but the restaurant setting is more like a fast food place. I'm not sure that sitting in very uncomfortable seats while ordering from a folding paper menu justifies prices double that of Shake Shack or BurgerFi. The burgers were good, but I'd also like the ability to drink a beer with my burger, which I can do at Shake Shack or BurgerFi.
