THIS COMPANY SCAMMED me out of $649. Do not use this service!! I called BZ lock over 3 weeks ago to have my, standard USPS lock replaced as we had misplaced the key. I was told over the phone that this service would be "$35 service fee + the cost of lock and labor". The locksmith called me and I asked what his availability was over the next few days.....he responded with, "I can be there in 45 minutes" He asks if I want the standard, USPS lock and I agreed. No amount was discussed. These locks retail at $35-$50. You can look the up online. He then charges me $649 and the reason for it being nearly $700 is that is was EMERGENCY RATE and a 10-year warranty. NONE of this was discussed with me beforehand and NONE of this is listed on their website. If I had known they were going to charge me $649 to do a simple install. The worst part - HE INSTALLED IT INCORRECTLY!! I've been without a working lock for almost 3 weeks. Their owner said they would come by and correct this error and missed two scheduled appointments to fix this. Their boss, won't give me a refund and said he would only give me $200 back. Please be aware and don't make the mistake I did in trusting this service. read more

They arrived promptly but charged way too much. First he told me he couldn't open the lock and it would cost $900 to drill it out and replace it. When I said I couldn't pay that, he was suddenly able to open the lock but charged me $500. I have a feeling they charge whatever they think they can get away with. I was locked out of my house in the early evening. I have a keypad lock that has a battery and the battery was dead. He didn't even offer to replace the battery for me. Just stuck a tool into the lock, opened the door, took my money, and left. read more

Charged me $1700 to change one lock and rekey another. Changed lock fell apart within a week. This company hides behind a dispatch service and will not give out the owner's name or phone number. "Supervisor" was simply a locksmith who could not address all the issues, although he agreed to come out and fix the lock. I consider this company to be a scam and do not recommend it. Response to my request was prompt. The tech was 2 1/2 hrs late but he did keep me posted. He provided several different quotes before we agreed based on the current equipment used by builders of my home. He fixed the door hardware that was not working accurately. Went home from work at lunchtime to let my dog out to relieve himself and locked us both outside the house. Man, I was angry with myself because as I was closing the door moving too fast, I realized I lock the door. What made me very irate was this was not the first time I locked myself out! I did a search on my phone for a locksmith and BZ Lock & Key was the first one I called. I was told by the person who answered the phone someone would be calling me back letting me know what time they would arrive. A guy called me in less than 5 minutes stating he would be at my house in about 20 minutes. I believe the guy arrived in less than 20 minutes and took less than 2 minutes to unlock the door! I couldn't believe how quick he unlocked the door! No damage to the lock or door, and I was able to make it back to work in time! I've never been so grateful! The guy was very professional and nice. I thought the cost was a little pricey, but I didn't have to take the time to go buy another lock and then take the time to install it. It was well worth the price.
