It's New Year's Eve, and we needed a locksmith, because a key couldn't be inserted in the front door lock. I was thinking we'd probably need to wait until after the holidays. I was doubting that anyone on Yelp would reply. We found Nathan from BZB Lock & Key Inc.on Yelp, and he replied within a few minutes, and that he would be out the next morning. He sent a message so we'd know when he'd arrive. When he arrived he greeted us warmly and wished us a happy new year. Then he went right to work, after disassembling the lock, he invited us back to his van. His van/workshop is amazing! Tools, parts, machinery...everything that a professional would need. He disassembled the lock cylydner and showed us that a spring had failed.He replaced the faulty spring(s), added new pins to rekey the lock, and made some new keys. We also had a deadbolt that failed in the laundry room, he fixed that and rekeyed it so it works with the entry door key! Very professional, neat, good manners, and he explains as he works! Highly recommend Nathan for all your lock locksmith needs!! Not only is he super responsive (and obviously a professional) but he's super honest. I originally purchased a Yale smart lock to replace this old keypad lock at my parent's condo. Keep in mind, he could have either just taken my money and installed the not-great lock (he actually won't service the Yale brand specifically because of bad quality issues he's experienced in the past) or he could have just passed and told me to find another lock smith, but he took the time to tell me his experiences with Yale's quality issues and even recommended (and explained) another brand/model smart lock (and where I could find it). Without even booking his services yet, he even let me text him images of the existing lock and he'd be able to tell me if the locks I buy would be compatible. Needless to say, I took his lock suggestion (which was a FANTASTIC suggestion by the way) and booked him for a weekend install. Day of install, this man clearly knew what he was doing. Not only was he fast, he was careful in checking the lock alignment and helped deepen the lock space (it was pretty obvious the last person who installed the lock didn't do a great job) so everything was flush. After completion he patiently showed me step by step on how to set up the lock in the app and navigate through everything. He was literally a real life quick start guide (the lock we purchased is one he personally uses at home too). Need copies of keys for our new lock in case the battery dies? We thought it's the problem of the Battery. After we replace a new battery, it was still not working.
