Five stars for their bone in chicken and seasonal pies but the sides fall short. The chicken is seasoned perfectly, moist, and crispy with light breading. The pies have a golden flakey crust with fresh fruit, served with home made whipped cream and they aren't too sweet. Service is always good and usually fast and I haven't found anywhere else with drive-through chicken this good. Their sides are just ok and they're inconsistent about the type of corn you'll get. Mashed potatoes aren't instant but they're dry and the gravy doesn't have much flavor. The bread is always stale but the butter that it comes with is delicious. We just get the family chicken only meal with a pie and it's a good value. read more

It's been about a year since we last ate here. It was very good then. Tonight we ordered the 8 piece meal. We recieved just one of our 2 sides. Corn pones were burned, chicken pieces were small, very small. Maybe the meat came from "chicks" rather than chickens Food tasted fine. Difference is we had never been disappointed in the past. Tonight we were disappointed! Oh, and it cost us $40 :( I wish I'd taken a pic. We will stick to other options when we want fried chicken for quite a while. read more

Don't get pie - I ordered Raspberry, got a mystery cream instead. Their menu lists Banana or Coconut cream, but I had three other people take a taste, and nobody could tell what it was - but definitely not banana or coconut - just s very plain sweetened cream, no real flavor at all - absolutely terrible. Also, like others have mentioned - quality of chicken not like it used to be (dry, not moist and tender like it used to be). Lastly, be sure to check your order thoroughly if driving through - they missed other items we ordered (besides the pie mishap). I don't think that I will be going for the peach pie and the rolls again . The rolls use to be soft and fresh now they are not. the corn bread muffin things also hard and burnt. I have gone there a couple of times this month because I wanted the peach pie first time sold out. second time. success but sadly disappointed. the crust was burnt and the peaches had no flavor. The employees are always nice and kind and the chicken is great. But Maybe your oven is turned on too high. Maybe you were just having an off day. Meh, got a chicken breast and a turkey steak sandwich. Turkey steak had a tough outer ring, freezer burn maybe, didn't finish. Chicken breast was okay, but needed some salt & pepper, they were out of salt but scraped a few packages of pepper packs from some obscure part of a table by the drive up window. No bueño. read more

I have gone to this restaurant for over 20 years and have always loved the food. But it seems like ever since they dropped the Maddox name, everything has gone downhill. The signage in the front of the building is illegible, so if you go to the walk up, you have to ask for a physical menu. Lame. As for the food, I don't know how it's possible, but they gave me all my food at the walk up and it was either lukewarm or legitimately cold. My french fries were horrible, and the baked beans were actually ice cold. It also seemed like the flavor of the mashed potatoes was also pretty jacked up. I have been to this restaurant enough to know how good the food can be, but the last few times have been absolutely awful. Now I have to drive all the way to Brigham City to get Maddox style chicken. read more

This is one of those times when I wish Yelp allowed half stars. This is a great spot to grab some fried chicken but the drive thru is terrible. First the chicken. I usually go with the leg meal, mashed potatoes as the side. The chicken is skinless and has a cornmeal, bread crumb style coating. That combo just works. The mashed potatoes are not from a package and the gravy is solid. Now add in corn pones a roll and honey butter. It's a very nice meal. So the drive thru is terrible. First the speed of service is usually quite slow. Also with how backed up the line is my vehicle usually triggers the order speaker before I'm actually that close to the receiver. So you end up shouting your order hoping they hear it. Perhaps you want to order at the window and eat in? Well the only sitting is outside so hopefully the weather is nice. But the worst thing is if you park in one of the 5 or so stalls you are stuck if there is a long line for the drive thru! read more

So let me start off with the fact that I like their chicken, but it confuses me. They do a skin-off fried chicken, with the breading substituting for the crunch. And it tastes good. It's got a good crunchy breading on it. We enjoyed it. But no skin makes me scratch my head and wonder just what this world is coming to. Their fries are good, and their slaw is a mayo-based side that isn't sweet, but has plenty of crunch to it. Prices are decent, and everything is made fresh for you. We like it. The portions are much smaller than they used to be. The thighs are now the size of a wing. And the breast isn't much larger. Ordered a 3 piece meal and 3 chicken tenders have more meat than I got. You get shrinkflation here now. Probably not gonna be back for a while. Or just stick with the tenders they haven't started cutting those in half but I would not put it past them. This place use to be good. The staff were friendly and the food prices were reasonable. Now the chicken pieces are smaller, breast meat is very dry and the prices have increased, yet they haven't changed their signs to reflect the new prices. One of the older people working there was very rude about the prices and said that there was nothing that they could do about the sign. It's false advertising to post a price and then charge for a higher price. I should have listened to several reviews about how this place got worse the past year. I will drive 30 miles north to the original Maddox Steakhouse and buy my food there, their staff are way friendlier! read more

Never going here again. Ordered on-line and paid for 2 family meals at 1:00pm for a pick up at 8:45.pm. Arrived at 8:45 and they said we don't have an on-line order. When pressed they said; "oh that order, we canceled it because we ran out of chicken." Who does that? Over 7 hours to set aside for an order that was paid for. We waited at the window roughly 10-15min for our food and honestly it was not worth the wait. The chicken looked and tasted like the Tyson chicken down the frozen aisle. And for the sandwich only having Mayo, chicken, pickles and buns it doesn't make sense why we had to wait so long when they weren't busy. The strawberry pie was a big disappointment, there was barley to no crust (we didn't even eat the crust that is what they gave) and strawberries dumped over the thin crust with whipped cream. 8/29/2020 FIRST VISIT-COLE SLAW CONTAINER GROSS, NO GREETING Hi, this message is for the owners. Since link on your website doesn't work and no one answers the phone I have gone to social media. Don't waste people's time with broken contact us link on your website and your Facebook link leads to no where either :(. We are new to the area and had a very difficult time ordering. Cars ahead of us were PULLING OUT OF LINE 7 cars deep and then we waited and waited at the speaker and NO ONE GREETED. I even CALLED FROM THE LINE and it went to voicemail. A car behind honked so I finally got out and walked up to window. Only teens appeared to be on site and simply said "oh the drive through notification didn't show anything". Things happen, so now the order is taken and my husband stated we have never ordered before. We assumed toppings would be on the burgers and never asked if we wanted any. Then at the window our food was given then receipt, with an angry line behind us we pulled away realizing we never got the drinks. I feel if someone with more experience with customer services issues was on the scene someone could have gone out to address the customers and line. We were not offered an apology. An item could have been comped since we made the effort to notify that you were losing business. I do value the efforts of teenagers and I worked in this industry as well as a teen however I learned from older ones how to handle customers and issues when there were failures. You team was not poised to do this today or any one in charge of the shift was not paying enough attention. The COLE SLAW had a green mark on the container, we bought it on Saturday 8/29/20 . It SMELLED OLD and the bottom of the container shows that wherever it is being stored is UNCLEAN. BLACK FILM with a large black crumb on the bottom of a white container??? Something needs a deep cleaning. The drive thru experience was so annoying it was going to take outstanding food to offset the poor service. The gals are friendly but lacking initiative. If your used to working a drive thru something should strike you that no orders are coming in on a Saturday afternoon when you are in a position to see cars driving in. I'd love a refund or voucher to try once more. With a long line like you had I don't want to write this location off for good after 1 bad experience. I hope this feedback helps. Last night we went to C and B Maddox for dinner which we do quite often. It will probably be the last time that we do so. My wife ordered a Turkey Steak sandwich. The turkey steak was so rubbery that you could not even tear it apart with your hands. I tried. We took it back and asked for another one, it was exactly the same way. I ask the girl if we could just get a cheese burger with everything on it. A minute later she ask me what kind of chicken sandwich that I wanted. I told her that I wanted a cheese burger with everything on it. When we got it, it was a hamburger with lettuce on half of it and ketchup. Nothing else. We called the manager at this point and he was very rude and would not even listen to our concerns. He told us how great his help was and that everything was fine with the way they did things. Well, at least they give you 2 delicious rolls. I have to say that the food is quite good and I love the crispy breading on the chicken, but it seems wrong that they're using dwarf chickens. I can't believe how small the pieces are. Legs are about the size of a plastic spoon. Thighs are the size of wings. They are very good - just itty bitty pieces. Maybe I just ended up with the last pieces before turning over a new batch? The highlight was the rolls. They're super buttery and sweet. The mashed potatoes are very good also. My sister amped this place up sooo much, so when I finally came to visit her this was on our list of things for me to try. This place has fresh food, from what I've experienced, but the food lacks any flavour. So make sure you have salt, pepper, SOMETHING handy if you're on the go. I'm also not sure why they created a drive-thru when it still takes the same amount of time for your food to come out if you were inside the restaurant. We were in the drive-thru line waiting at least 20-30 mins. I got mashed potatoes and gravy as my side thinking there is no such thing as flavorless gravy. WRONG! This place has it lol. The potatoes are very creamy on their own and the gravy is the perfect texture but that doesn't make up for the lack of flavour. The food was very filling and priced reasonably as far as the chicken value meals go. Now the family meal pricing is a DIFF story! We went back later that night for dinner b/c my sister didn't want to cook and we wanted something hot, but this time we ordered the family size meal. It came with what was described as "2 LARGE side dishes" however these were not large. The "lg" containers carry servings for 2 people maybe 2.5 if you're family doesn't eat much. So I was a fellow employee of c&b very recently (night time crew), and I just wanna give the insider scoop; 1) be prepared for a wait, every time you order we make the food fresh on the spot so it's gonna take a minute. So please be patient with us :) 2) best food to get: -mash potatoes & gravy (literally to DIE for) -chicken tenders -pies (my family's personal favorites are the seasonal peach pie, banana cream, and seasonal strawberry cheesecake) -rolls and cornpones, sometimes can be a hit or miss honestly -fries -chicken bites -chicken legs **this is mostly based off of personal opinion just so you are aware 3) DO NOT come close to closing time, your food will probably not be as hot and ready, it's definitely tempting to come later due to the very short line but I can assure you it's far off from "the best option" if your looking for good food. (side dishes will most likely be cold, just fair warning) 4) just a friendly reminder to be kind to your staff, I know especially the night time crew we are mostly all teens who work up front and it honestly hurts being yelled at. (There are many times I recall being cussed out, by grown ADULTS might I add, due to a misunderstanding that wasn't even my fault). So please be kind and we'll be kind back. It can be hard working in the fast food industry, so just be friendly and try to work will us here. If we mess up just tell us and we will gladly fix it for you on the spot. 5) make sure to check your order @the speaker where you ordered, it's hard to hear over the kitchen noise and the speaker is just lousy. This used to be a fave for years. We used to go here very often... too often. But now I find myself skipping it as an option. Last time we went - once we got to the window our order was $10+ more than the prices showed on the menu board. The carless teen at the window was Just like " oh , our prices have gone up." I could've thrown a fit - but I just payed and drove off: Not a good idea to false advertise prices. They should be changed on the board FIRST. Also they just discontinued their fruit punch. Absolutely delicious chicken and fries! I absolutely love chicken tenders and eat them a lot, and was excited to see this place in Utah. It did not disappoint. I recently moved back from Texas to Utah after 16 years. When I left, I loved Maddox's chicken and turkey burgers. Something has happened to the chicken; it's not the quality it used to be. I don't think it's so much the breading as the quality of the chicken being used. I took a big bucket to a family reunion today and the chicken had a lot of tendons so it was very chewy...not the melt in the mouth experience it used to be. I'm sad since I have been a faithful customer for many decades and was happy I was going to be living close to Maddox once again. My family members in the area have notice the same thing. I know supply chain issues are rough right now. I hope you can return to the chicken supplier you used to use. read more

This is almost as good as the original Maddox in Brigham City. The chicken is the same great recipe, skinless chicken well cooked with a very tasty breading. I love the 8 piece dark special they are currently running. If they had the same gravy to dip your fries in that they have in Brigham City, I would rate the chicken baskets about the same. Everyone out there complaining of the drive through speed remember they are cooking the chicken in smaller batches so it is always fresh and hot unlike the other competition that does hundreds of pieces and leaves it under the warmer for hours. That being said at times it is a 5 to 10 minute wait other times it has been closer to 20, so not really fast food. If you have never had skinless fried chicken you need to try this out, but allow plenty of wait time as it is always feesh. read more

Food is actually pretty good but not worth the horrible service and being treated poorly. I odered and paid for two different large family meals for pick-up over the phone for a family get together. I had let them know someone else would be picking up the order. They told me to have whoever was picking up the food to come right up to the side window so they wouldn't have to wait in the drive through lane. Great, sounds good. When my family member arrived they went straight to the pick up window and were handed two bags of food. He asked twice if that was everything and of course when they arrived with the food, one whole family meal was missing. I called back right away, and let them know I was missing half of my order and just asked politely if they could refund the missing chicken and sides. They told they could not give me a refund but they could get the food ready and I could come get the missing items. I explained that I was 20 minutes away and I had family over with hot food now so we would not be coming back again today. She said she would write my name on a list so I could come by and get the missing food another time so I agreed. I kept my receipt and good thing I did because when I went back the cook or manager or whoever they were just argued with us. First he says, I was here working last weekend and I never received a phone call about missing food. I told him that clearly I didn't speak with him but with a female that said she wrote my name down on a list. So then he grabs a big list of names that had problems with orders and says my name is not on there like I am making it all up. I pulled out my receipt and gave it to them. I had made a note on the receipt of when I called and what was missing. They just took the receipt and then he proceeded to say that we just drove off too fast without half of our food and implying it was our fault we were missing the food. I was trying to explain that is not what happened and my family member did not go through the drive through and he gets more of an attitude and rudely says I am trying to ask if you want a refund or the the missing food. I should of just took a refund but took the missing food and left. But to the rude man in charge, you clearly need to take a class on customer service and learn to be polite and not defensive when there is a issue. How about you nicely apologize and fix the problem. You were rude and tried to make us feel like we were lying and trying to rip you off. I am very sorry to all the other employees that have to work with this miserable man. Obviously I will not be a returning customer, the food is not that great to deal with this horrible service. read more
