I contacted C&D Garage Doors after reading great reviews from other customers. And I also had a great experience! Our garage door would not close properly, and a technician came out the next day. They first tried to service the door with adjusting the down force and beam sensitivity, as well as lubricating all rollers, hinges, and springs. This service alone was about $75. However, the door still would not close as the motor ultimately needed to be replaced. Not only did the technician promptly replace with our garage opener with a modern and quite unit with built in WiFi, but he also waived the cost of the initial service! The entire service was $395 for a brand new Lift Master and remotes, which we felt was a remarkable deal! We are very happy with the service we received, as well as the professionalism of the technician. read more

We had someone from a different company come give us a quote, and they said we needed at least $2000 worth of work on our door, or a new door which they quoted at $4800-5000. I was skeptical, so I contacted C&D. They gave me a quote for a new door which was about half what the other company quoted. And then when they came out, they said actually we really just need a thorough tune-up. Very honest company, incredibly prompt communicators. We're looking forward to working with them for the tune-up and when we do need a new door, we'll definitely call C&D! (We've also been recommending them to our family and friends!). I called C & D Garage Door, as my garage door spring broke making it very difficult to open the door. Monday morning I called and was given a 4 PM appointment, Dan called & came out at 11 AM! A blessing as it permitted us to run the errands that we needed to make later in the day. It took Dan 30 minutes to install 2 new springs. I cannot say enough about Dan and C & D Garage door. Very responsive, customer focused, extremely good technician (40+ years in the business), polite and HONEST ! Oh, by the way, the service was Only $185.00 ! Other garage door companies had great reviews referenced from their web sites, but not so good reviews on Yelp... C&D had all 5 star, and reflected their customer's heartfelt feelings. We bought one of their most expensive garage doors to replace our old one from 1997. Got the double springs. They replaced the rails. The price was reasonable. I would give them a full 5 stars except for one big issue. This new door is very noisy when going up and down. It creaks, groans and makes banging sounds. It's much louder than our old 1997 door that's been hit by a roof rack twice. We've had them out 3 times since it was installed but the noise was not fixed. They say it's normal. I don't think that much noise is normal but they are the experts, right? +1 star for 5 stars. C & D came back again and installed larger springs. While the door isn't perfect the noise is less. Wonderful people to do business with! We were moving into an old house and needed to replace 50 year old garage doors. C&D gave us a great selection, a good price and extra service - when they came to install the first time we discovered that electrical rewiring needed to be done, as well as removing a number of items that had been secured to the roof, and they provided guidance and returned weeks later when we were finally ready - with grace and consideration and no additional cost. Great service. Home inspection suggested for safety reasons we should have the motor checked to make sure it would retract within appropriate guidelines. C & D technicians arrived on time, lubricated both doors and advised us of a missing part at the top of one of the doors causing a crack in the door.
