I set up a repair request with my home warranty, and they never showed up. I received no contact after getting the scheduling texts and emails FROM them. When I called to ask what occurred, after they confirmed my details and appointment, they claimed the request just disappeared and they got rude. Warranty company confirmed the request was still open on their side. Had to cancel the request with my warranty co and set up a new one with a different vendor. Unsure how they have my info yet it just magically vanished. I might have an avoided a bad experience and do not recommend this company due to the initial bad experience and rudeness from their receptionist. read more

My technician was very polite when he arrived. He talked to me about the problems I was having and explained what had happened and what he would do to fix it. He did have to change times of arrival a couple of time in the day but called and made sure I was aware and okay with it. My repair was covered through my home owners insurance. They were contracted through First Home Warranty to replace my garage door opener. When they arrived, I was told the rollers on my door needed to be replaced for safety inspection reasons and the warranty would not cover the opener if I did not have the rollers replaced and hardware lubed. This cost me an extra $100. Yes, I called my home warranty office who would not provide an answer to confirm or deny. So, needing my garage door opener to work I agreed. The guy told me the reason my garage door squeaked was the rollers were original +20 years and would effect the lifetime of the opener. They replaced my opener with leas than what I had and my garage door is so loud it wakes the neighbors dogs. They do not answer the phone nor return calls. read more

Worst service. Dealt with them through the warranty company and they never communicated any information to me while I waited for 2 weeks. I've had my garage door closed this whole time and my HOA threatened to fine me because my vehicle has been out of the garage for a couple weeks now. Absolutely some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced from a local company. They treated me like a second class citizen (maybe because they were booked through my home warranty??) and in two separate appointments the tech completely blew the window they had given me for my appointment, after being unable to finish the job at the first appointment (which was not his fault), I did not get a new scheduled appointment until the next business day because the company doesnt answer their phones, then he completely misses the next appointment window and calls me well after the window and tells me he wont be there for another half hour, but he can get there first thing in the morning. Well, what do you know, he cannot be there first thing the next morning because the company is totally booked. GARBAGE COMPANY, GARBAGE EMPLOYEES. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! read more

Cactus garage doors was assigned to my repair by my home warranty company. For 2 full days their voicemail box was full and they never called to schedule my repair. I finally received a call 3 days later and they scheduled for that same day. I told them I would not be home until 1:00 so we set a time of 1:00-3:00. The technician text me that he was on his way and would arrive at 12:00. I told him I would not be home until 1:00 and he said I'd have to reschedule. Voicemail box full again the next day...finally get through after numerous attempts and schedule for next day. NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP!!! I left a message again and they NEVER returned my call. At that point I called the home warranty and asked that they reassign my repair. Within 2 days my garage door was fixed by Reliable Door Door Services! read more

Is this company still in business??? I called for service through First American Home Warranty. Was assigned this company. They didn't come out for nearly 2 weeks, then didn't have the right size belt. Was told they would order one and come back. It's been 13 days and they haven't contacted me or come back. When I try to reach them, they never answer the phone, and the voice mailbox is always full. Even the home warranty company can't reach them. I've escalated the situation through the warranty company but can't get an answer. Seems that since Cactus has come out at least once, and that they have been paid, the warranty company doesn't want to work with another garage door company. They scheduled me for the next day, through First American Home Warranty (which is not worth the money) then canceled my next day appointment, and rescheduled me for the day after that without warning or explanation. I have called at least 10 times, and they never answer the phone, and they do not return messages. I waited two days to get out of my garage, and when he arrived today, he states he does not have the part - they haven't unpacked it. So instead of scheduling me immediately, after having waited two days for an appointment- cannot go to work, go to store - they say that it will be another 5 days before they can fit me into their schedule. They are the worst. They don't care about their customers or obviously themselves, as they conduct their business unprofessional. Very unprofessional. read more

This outfit is absolutely unprofessional. I was assigned them by my home warranty company. Per the contract, I'm supposed to hear from the assigned vendor within 24 hours. After hearing nothing for 48 hours I called my home warranty to get their contact information. I then left a message for a call-back to schedule a time for the repair. When I heard nothing for almost another 2 business days I asked for re-assignment to another vendor. Miraculously, when reaching out to my warranty, the representative said they could not reschedule because the contractor already accepted the assignment. This was without even getting a hold of me prior. This was a backdoor attempt to lock in the work through the warranty without the allowance of re-assignment. The next day, which was the day they were "supposedly" to show up without my consent. I called first thing in the morning and again got a hold of no one at the company. I recontacted my warranty and they emailed and left several messages without return as well (now the third agent to do so with not a single soul, in any form of communication with Cactus). Then later in the afternoon, they suddenly show up at my house with no disclosed time saying who they were and what they were there for. I did not accept the day of repair and turned them away much more graciously than they did me during the entire experience. All I needed was a 2-minute conversation or at the minimum a text to know the destined time for me to be home for the work to commence. No one should need to leave their job unannounced because the contractor blatantly refuses to open a vein of communication (now a week after making the service request). I don't know about you, but how can you trust a company to provide you service, when they have no service to provide? Imagine if they needed to order parts. I'd never know if or when the work was ever to be finished. I suggest trying anyone before Cactus. I even tried to reach out using their Tucson number and got the same cold shoulder . . . read more

Garage door came off track, husband was able to put it back in but it appeared there were still some issues with bolts. Not covered by 2-10 home warranty, of course (and how we found Cactus Garage Doors the first time) but they were so competent in August, we called again and set up an appointment. Long story short, they came by EARLY because they were 'in the area', replaced a small metal plate/bolts, checked everything out and NO CHARGE because, well, 'they were in the area anyway'. This kind of service blew us away and is why we told all the neighbors and our friends about them after the first service call. Would never use anyone else in town. Actual work so far is probably 5 star but the two people I dealt with from this company are RUDE. Yesterday when I talked to the woman who scheduled my appointment she was very short and impatient with me. I explained that the garage door was coming off the hinges and I could not even manually close it so that it would stay shut especially overnight. Oh, you know, there are only coyotes and javelinas in Tucson.... She didn't say anything remotely like it mattered to her. Today the man who came to fix it said it's coming off the hinges and when I asked him how that could have happened since we don't have young drivers in our house and my husband and I did not bump into the door he said, "I DON'T KNOW BECAUSE I WASN'T HERE." Ugh! I wanted to tell him how if he would have been here that would have been creepy! Or, I know that Gump! Anyway, any time I went out to the garage while he was here (I was doing laundry), he was moaning and sighing and grunting like I'd never heard a man do before! Horrible. Garage door snapped on the weekend and called them to come out for an emergency call. I called the tech and told me that he would not have anyone available to come out until the next day after 4 pm. I was told he would call back to get me on the schedule and still over a week later I am still waiting for that call. Good thing my kids did not have to go to the hospital or anything other wise I would be screwed. Don't advertise 24 hour service, emergency service or available on the weekend if you going to have the customer wait anther full day or two before you can come out. Either you have someone on call that day or take down that part of your advertising. That is just false advertising and this is not the first time this happened. read more

Worst customer service ever! They don't call to say they are on the way. Have employees that don't know what they are doing. When we used them they came with the wrong part. The tech didn't how to install and had to call for instructions. Then when he figured out it was the wrong part stated he would come back with the right one. He called later stating that he finished other houses and that he would not be able to return and to make another appointment so they could finish. I called the operator and she stated that the tech should finish the job and she didn't even call him and asked me to call the tech. Of course he was upset because it was now late and came and finished the job with a poor attitude. Don't use. read more

I had a appointment between 10-12 so after 12 I called and asked if they were still coming they said the truck broke down but they would call me later to let me know what time they would be there. After. 4 pm I called again and whoever answered the phone said the office was closed but call the tech and he could tell me what's going on and gave me his number. If the office was closed who answered the phone? I called the tech he said he wasn't coming today but could come another day. I said well I took today off and waited all day and no body ever called me I had to call them twice. But I said ok but it has to be in the afternoon because I can't take a entire day off again. They said no that won't work for them they can't do it in the afternoons because they are never in my area that time of the day. So I said do I need to call another company? They said ya go ahead and hung up. Very rude. I don't know how this company stays in business. read more
