I took my car to my normal oil change place and they told me that my air filter and the bolts to hold it on were missing! The last time I got my oil changed was at C&D tires in maryville, so they didn't put my air filter back on the car! Shoddy work that could have really damaged my car. read more

Why would a brake repair store NOT keep a part they claimed was faulty to show me its damage and/or brokenness? They told me over the phone that the rear brake caliper needed to be replaced. Also, the rotors could not be turned. They had to be replaced as well. When I came to get my mother's car and she paid for the work, they told me that the caliper was "already gone to get the core charge out of it". Well, I know from personal experience that I can return parts AFTER the fact to get the core charge out of said part. So, four brake pads (pads on front and back), two NEW rotors (which may have not even been necessary on a Kia Forte with 81,000 miles), and a new rear caliper (which I have no earthly idea if that repair was necessary because they could not show their work!): $932. C & D Tire used to be a car shop with integrity. But these days, like every other money-making place, "integrity" equals "lower profit margin". There are better, more honest car repair shops. read more

Stopped in as we have noticed an issue with one of the tires on our truck. We are in the middle of a cross country trip and hiccups like this have the potential to throw a lot of plans off. Really wanted to like C & D tire, but I've had just too many problems to be coincidence and bad luck. 1st. Took brand new wheels to them to have tires installed, and they ended up scratching the paint on the brand new rims. They offered to have the scratches repaired, but the person that they referred me to, constantly canceled the appointment because of one reason or another. I drive the car for a living and could not go without so ended up repairing the scratches myself. 2016 Dodge Challenger 2nd. Left and right rear tires were switched during a subsequent tire installation and no matter how many times they tried to reprogram and fix, the car always switched back and still to this day shows left and right rear tires reversed when showing air pressure. 2016 Dodge Challenger. 3rd. They said that the clunking in my front end was due to worn out upper strut mounts and quoted over $800 to fix. Ended up being $160 control arms. 2016 Dodge Challenger. 4th. Took my 2008 Dodge Ram into them for an alignment and they said that the lower ball joints needed to be replace and that was the problem why the steering felt loose and was noisy when I hit bumps. They completely missed that most of the problem was from worn out end links, control arm bushings, and that I even needed front half shaft due to worn boots and dirt contamination in the front half shafts. The mechanic I took it to showed me what it looked like and said that there was no way that they could've missed those items. Charged me over $600 for the lower ball joints including the alignment, and I still ended up having to take it elsewhere to get the rest of the stuff fixed and pay to have it aligned again. Would've rather known all of the problems instead of them just taking my money and fixing only part of the issue. Based upon these issues, I would not be able to recommend them for any service. Went to have my new tires installed at the Maryville location on Tuesday around 1:00 knowing I'd be there over an hour. There was a young mother there with three kids who had arrived before me and wouldn't be leaving before me. The staff provided this family with a private room and lunch for the children while they waited. Who does that?? The crew went out of their way for my husband and his truck. They let us know repairs that needed to be made and once we made them installed the tires and did our alignment (they couldn't do the repairs as it was the week of July 4th and they were slammed) I would send every local there for tires. My brother was required to have a smart lock breathalyser installed On a vehicle in order to get his license back , the breathalyser was installed on my 77 year old mothers car, C&D was the recommended installers for this device , using smart start . First week into the machine being in the car, the car completely shut off on the free way in traffic , the car shut off several time after. When they contacted c & d installer he said there was no way it was from the install , one week later the wiring from the smart start the wires from the smart start and the whole wiring harness caught fire melting the wires from the steering column all the way to the computer on the car , we filmed video of the damage, when the car was towed back to them they told my mom that was not from there wiring because the wiring there was not what they used and told her they were not fixing her car , and that my brother had to pay for there machine now, when it all started from There installer of the system who did very bad work. read more

Will never do business with them again. Just purchased my second full set of tires from them along with extended warranty and trusted them when they said alignment was out so I paid to fix that as well. Next day tires are low and when I take it in to check they tell me tire stem sensor needs replacement at my cost when it wasn't broke before they put tires on. Never again. read more

I have done business with C and D tire for many years. Always price check when buying new tires to make sure I get the best deal. On the particular tire I was purchasing Walmart had the best price so I asked C and D tire if they would price match. They said yes they would price match Walmart And gave me an out the door price over the phone of $204. I asked them to go ahead and order them and they called when they were in . I went down and it took an hour and a 1/2 to put 2 tires on. After they've completed the work and I was ready to pay they said the total was $218 each. I stated that they had quoted me $204 on the phone. I showed them that Walmart was 175 plus tax and mounting. Which was actually a little less than $204. They said that was the best they could do, even after giving me a quote over the phone. I am very disappointed in the way this transaction happened, and probably will not do business with them anymore. even if I have been a customer for 15 Plus years. read more

I'm sorry the other reviewer has had trouble with C & D but I have been going there for close to ten years consistently. They have never "steered" - couldn't resist the pun - me wrong. As a matter of fact, they've saved me many hundreds of dollars having replaced an engine for my son's 2005 Corolla, figuring out an on-going alignment problem with my wife's 2007 Camry and many, many minor issues with four other cars we've had. I wouldn't take my cars anywhere else. They are also very quick. read more

Had vehicle towed for a diagnostic, paid $300+ to be told i need an engine replacement. I decided not to go that route paid bill and had vehicle towed back home. I ordered a replacement engine and upon it's arrival popped hood and found engine front timing cover forward components removed for "diagnostic" were missing from the front cover forward. Called and got the runaround for a week showed up onsite and spoke with the manager and much to my suprise components were located roughly 1.5 hours after. So during my lunch break the following day and slightly relieved but still irritated that the runaround could have been avoided if one were to walk into the shop and have a conversation or perhaps take a look for $1,000+ worth of components that their manager states "that's unusual we place owners components back with vehicle as a common practice". Pulled into the bay to be loaded up and get my primary means of transportation back on the road, Technician who worked on my vehicle says ....so about the radiator i saw it laying for a duaration (mind you all other components recovered and boxed) and figured it was scrap but you can find them on Amazon for around $120 but good news is i kept your alternator which regulary sells for $400.... end result was a sorry bud. read more
