Instead of knocking on the door or calling, he filled out a form saying they couldn't find the device but that they would contact me to reschedule. It's now late august, they have not contacted me to reschedule. I get that the company might have a policy about not digging around in customers' mulch, but i think it took me less time to clear the mulch after finding the form than it took the technician to write it out. Why fill out a form and leave instead of even trying to contact the owner?

I also stated I would like this done before next February. He said he would let me know when he was going to get it completed, but anticipated late January when the weather got better (we had a mild winter here in Washington). I said fine, "just take care of me, I am glad you were referred to me." Then I pretty much never heard from him, unless I initiated a text or left a voice mail for him. His responses were days after I sent him any text or voice mail - one excuse after another, and another, then I will get you next week, then I got hurt and can't get over for a few weeks, etc. April 29 I sent him a text asking if should hire a different company, he never responded. I sent him a text on May 14 that I hired another company. May 17 he responded by saying he understood and hoped I would consider him in the future. I would never recommend his company to anyone. Good thing I never prepaid for any labor, parts or materials in advance.

Back on 2019 I had an irrigation system built by a landscape company in Portland. I recently…read moreneeded some work on it and called them but they indicated they no longer do work in Vancouver, but when I asked if there was anyone they would recommend, they said Simple Lawns. I had a problem with two leaks in the irrigation system. You could see water getting into the valve boxes when you turned on two of my zones. My suspicion was that the water pipes coming out from the valve to the irrigation tubing had broken when I had a contractor install a pumped sewer system last fall. The trench for the sewer pipe went across the water outlet pipes from the valve boxes. I called Simple Lawns to see if they could come work in fixing the leaks. They were able to schedule a visit by their irrigation expert within a few days. I paid a deposit which was for the service call to diagnose the problem and assess how much it would cost to fix. The employee came and looked it over and was able to fix it right away. He had it fixed within an hour or two. I was surprised it was possible to fix it so quickly, and he indicated the cost would probably be just the service call fee or a little more. The one slightly odd thing was I didn't get a email from the company to indicate the job was completed and that there were no additional charges. But the repairs were successful and they didn't send any additional bill, so I figured that was the situation. I was dreading trying to get those leaks fixed and I was amazed how quickly they fixed them and that it cost way less than I expected it would.

When I called for a quote, I was told, "yes, we can help you with that". I was told Michael, an estimator will be in contact within a week. No visit to the property, however, pictures were requested.????? He asked if we wanted regular lawn maintenance, which we declined. His response is that they can't do the leveling. Still no quote on the leveling and since we declined regular maintenance, they can't help us. Very misleading and a waste of everyone's time.
