After 10 quotes, we went with GRO- their bid was super competitive AND more thorough with what they were doing to resolve our drainage issues. Sam came, surveyed the yard and designed a wonderful area. He also came back out to evaluate our tumbling retaining wall and talked us through what was the likely cause and fix. Daniel kept us informed with the project plan dates and progress. Evelio and Martin did an AMAZING job! There were little things they did that just made it perfect like concrete barriers around the crawlspace vents, metal barrier to separate the gravel from the river rock, replaced some wonky sprinkler heads, filled the beds with great soil for gardening, etc. that we had no idea to ask for! It became immediately clear after our initial consultation that Debbie and Nick's approach was significantly different than a highly "recommended" landscaper who proposed the usual yellow day lilies, Japanese holly, nandina, plunked here and there, all of which you can see in any commercial landscape. Nick started with huge amounts of soil mixed with pumice to assure good drainage which was the first major difference. Their very creative plant selection was adjusted as needed, which I found very reassuring as a gardener. We now have these beautiful moss and lichen boulders sitting among a variety of plants, tied together in a colorful apricot and purple pallet. Nick, Debbie, and Josh only work on one project at a time, so we knew once work started, it would not stop until it was finished. Neighbors are always stopping by to look. We can not wait until it all grows in. It is beautiful!

The owner/operator, Gary, came up with all kind of reasons why we could not have a nice yard. He would blow leaves into a corner of our yard and take away once a season, usually sometime last part of December. Garys lack of understanding of irrigation system design caused even more problems. Company would not live up to it's contract, often times expecting us to "help" with his duties. Always shows up (sometimes driving by our house multiple times a day) but has a lack of work ethic with lots of excuses. You are better off hiring a neighbor kid who wants to make an effort and would appreciate the pay.

After their visit they did not get back to me about the quote and so I called them several days later with no response. I would easily accept delays based on work they have in progress but the complete dismissal of my calls is unacceptable. I will not be contacting them again and recommend that you do not either due to their COMPLETE lack of professionalism with me.
