I had a bag full of clothes and asked for a quote and lady looked at it and said no more than $50. I then asked if there was an itemized list of prices available so I can be sure that I was quoted properly. She stated she did not have one but ensure me it wouldn't be more than $50. I proceeded to ask when the clothes would be ready for pick-up and she estimated 5 days, which I thought was strange because it's usually 2-3 days for me at other places. I've been coming here for a few years for dry cleaning and alterations. Their dry cleaning was nothing special but the location is convenient. My main concern is the alterations. I have always felt they have been reasonable on the price for a basic hem on pants or dresses. The past few times the price has jumped but this last time is what really upset me. My family had their clothes altered at this place recently. And we are NEVER EVER going back!! When we picked up our clothes, the lady charged us more than the price that they gave us when we dropped them off. Of course we still paid them because they did complete the service that we requested, and it wouldn't be fair if we refuse to. But when we complained about the price increase, the man (who told us the price when we dropped off the clothes) proceeded to raise his voice and curse at us out of nowhere saying that he never gave us such price in the beginning. Clothes come back very clean, my husband's shirts no longer have the yellow/brown stains around the collar, and there is no lingering detergent or chemical smell that I get from other places. Everyone here is so friendly and kind, I came here to see if I could get my uggs restored (I've hardly worn them, but they seemed to discolor due to sitting in the shoe cabinet) and was quoted $30. That's no problem because that beats buying a new pair every single time your uggs look washed out/dead (when they're really not, they just need some tlc). I came back to pick my uggs up, ended up paying $25 and my uggs seriously looked BRAND new, as if I went to nordstrom and purchased a new pair of chestnut ugg boots. VERY DISSAPPOINTING: WHEN THE TRUST IS BROKEN IT IS HARD TO COME BACK. We have been using C&H for over 20 years because of the non-chemical cleaning process. There were owner changes over the years, but if there ever was a problem, someone would call and explain what happened and usually resolved it without even asking for any credits because we had a long term relationship with this business. Today I went to pick up my close and a the new owner first insisted that I had only two dresses to pick up, after arguing with me in raised voice, he finally found and brought the third dress that an expensive dress, all ripped. He insisted that this 2 year old dress that I only cleaned here, is old and fabric fell apart. As I was ready to pay the receipt indicated that there was one more dress, and again he insisted that its a computer error. When I returned an hour later to pick up my card, that I left behind, the fourth dress was also found and it was not cleaned because there were other problems. The owner refused to even discuss the issue. The bottom line: I am just not sure how trustworthy this business is, if they attempt to hide problems, not willing to discuss and speak with customers in a raised and dismissive tone. This lady is my mother's friend. I dont know how or why but she is nice to me. She speaks English well and prefers to speak to me in English which is fine, it's just weird speaking to my mother's homies in English. As for pricing, C+H is quite high for men's apparel. Perhaps a more accurate statement is, it can be high for men's clothing depending on the brand. My generic suits costs $20 for all three parts... However my Hugo Boss suit costs $45 for the three pieces... I don't know how much they will charge for the Armani suit... My mother's/women's clothing is dirt cheap. I don't know if its hooked up pricing or what have you. No matter how much shit i pick up, its between $20-$35. The other day was 7-8 pieces and appx $23. I like that they use natural ingredients to clean your clothes. How many cleaners can claim, 'you can drink our solution?' or some shit like that. read more

Noticing a decline in the quality of service from my previous dry-cleaner after being a patron for over 9 years, I decided to give C & H Cleaners a try receiving a "strong" recommendation from a few friends. The owners/staff are very polite and kind, and they even remembered my last name after my first visit. When I received my suit jacket and winter coat, I noticed that they were hung on think hangers, not just flimsy wires. Most importantly, there were no more stains on the neck or the edges of the sleeves! Additionally, they handed me cash in a Ziplock bag, explaining that they had found it in my jacket pocket - a testament to their thoroughness and honesty. I hate the chemicals normal dry cleaners use. C & H is the only dry cleaners around that uses carbon dioxide instead of the nasty chemicals. That is enough of a reason for me to use them, but it turns out their customer service is amazing as well. Everyone who works there is friendly and our clothes always come back in perfect shape. I use them for alterations and repairs too. I had a sweater that developed a huge hole in the neckline a couple days after I bought it. C & H somehow managed to repair it for me. Anne, the owner, has been giving me excellent health advice for my problem back through my husband, who frequents there a lot. When I go in she shows me all her tricks and tips, and her sage medical advice led me to Dr. Nathan of Upper Cervical in Fullerton, who has been a big help. Beware! Very bad service!!!! Needed a few items cleaned, including a suit by a certain time. They guaranteed it would be ready. Went there to pick up my items and only half were done by the time they told us. They said that they needed to re wash two pairs of the pants and to come back the next day. Okay, so we didn't get the suit in time for the event. Went back the next day and the pants looked bad still. Asked them why they didn't do the second wash. They said that they had been ready when we were there the day before and didn't need it. Tried to ask why they didn't let us pick up the day before with all the rest of the items. It was even the same person from the day before and she kept saying she couldn't keep up with orders because she was old. So, basically the items we were told were not ready just sat in the store for another day and we had to make another trip to pick them up. read more

We have been customers at C&H since 2003 and they are by far the best in the area of Fullerton where we live which is close to Brea and La Habra. The evidence is in their attention to shirt collars which is lacking in other cleaners we used pre-2003. They are proactive with stains and don't hide it when they can't take a stain out (they tell you even when you didn't notice the stain to begin with). I've had them fit and hem trousers which they do in a fast and clean manner. They also remember that I am my wife's husband (they know her by name and me by association). The green cleaning is a bonus that deserves to be encouraged with customers not subsidies which is as it should be at C & H. read more
