I've been driving from Riverside to La Habra for 6 years to have my clothes tailored here. Ladies, I think when we find our favorite people (hairstylist, aesthetician, etc) we become THE MOST loyal customers. Just like my hair I'm super picky when it comes to my clothes and I wont go anywhere else for alterations except here. The tailor's friendly, skilled, & takes the time to listen to my needs, especially when I struggle to find clothing that compliments my body type. She'll give honest feedback & suggestions, and she always has my clothes ready on time (much appreciated!). I love the look & fit of my clothes everytime I come here--it's a serious confidence booster. Side note: It's interesting how average ratings on Yelp aren't always the most accurate. I have been coming here for over 15 years, every time I come in she asks for my name and number and every time asks if it's my first time there? I'm never in the system. This last time I came in for hemming, I tried the pants on and she put one pin in on one leg. I came in to get them and got home and they were 3 inches too long they were fully resting on the floor bunched up (wore the same shoes from measuring), I called over and she said I went somewhere else and I'd have to pay again. (How does that make sense) I told her no I've never been to another tailor (been coming here since I was a child). The pants were distinctive she would've remembered them. She said I'd have to pay again but after 3 times of me telling her why would I pay again if you never cut all the length off that you measured?? She said she'd give me a $6 discount. She kept telling me to come in but I'm not leaving my pants there to be held hostage till I paid again. That means I would pay what the pants are worth in hemming alone, maybe she removed the pin and lost her place accidents happen. It would've been acceptable for a remeasure to make the mess up better but to the tell the customer to pay again when the pants didn't get hemmed right when they were in your care, isn't right. Wish it was handled differently. Please do better as I never had any issues and the one time there was an accident of some sort and that's how I was treated didn't sit right with me. read more

I offered a $5 tip and thanked her for getting it done so fast but she wouldn't take the money, and told me to come back should I need some real work. Happy Tailoring is where I got all my drycleaning needs done right before I left. I think this place is just like any others. Price is pretty high but your clothes do look like they are brand new. Parking can be a tad bit hard with a bank next to it and also a arts and crafts store. I will come back for my tailor needs and see how they do. read more

the lady here saved the day, & a big one.. it was my wedding day! i had a traditional korean dress, aka Han bok, to wear at my wedding. it was a beautiful (but way delicate) silk, and the skirt got several horrible horizontal tears ranging 2-8 inches in length within 2-3 inches of the hem. my mom refused to touch it, my grandma was tempted to just fabric glue it together. but it was the dress i was wearing to my wedding.. in less than a week! luckily, word of mouth, i heard the tailor here is just the sweetest lady ever. and a perfectionist. she knew the urgency of the issue, and worked her magic. she did some cutting, hemming, mending, & only at a very very close inspection can you see that it was no longer the original hem. her choice in string was a perfect match. she only sacrificed 1/2 inch in the front, & left the length in the back. Plus, she she cleaned up some spots she noticed. all in an hour! Honestly, it wasn't something simple that can be hemmed. plus, the silk fabric has that gauzey type, there was some fraying, and even a petticoat underskirt. she explained everything she did. Her english isn't perfect, but i had no problem communicating. Now that i've been sharing my experience with people, i noticed a lot of people go to her for alterations. now it's no longer a secret. I moved to Whittier about a year and look for couple of dry cleaning and found this one It was okay in the beginning but I am very short so items have to be hemmed although she did ok in the beginning this is the 3rd time and the last time she charged more than arm and a leg to hem a blazer which turned out awful and unfinished properly. She does overpriced items and very incompetent and rude. Last time I'll ever go back. Save you're money. Find another place. She is not worth driving 4 miles. read more

After sending several pieces to several different places, Happy Tailoring has come out as one of the clear cut favorites. Pant hemming, shirt/jacket adjustments, and dry cleaning are all done in a timely and very professional manner. Prices are fair but totally worth it considering the quality of the workmanship. Overpriced and a scam. I took more than 10 items in and she charged me $115, then didn't even fix one item I asked to be repaired. When I noticed and brought it back, she said "not my fault." I told her I had more to bring, including rugs and other big ticket items, and that she was going to lose my business over an inexpensive fix and she shrugged and said "not my fault" again. She wanted me to pay twice for the same fix and did not do a good job on the clothes she did actually work on. Most of them still had odors and the other item I had repaired was a poor job. Do yourself a favor and choose another dry cleaner/tailor who might actually treat you well, charge you a fair price and do a good job. read more

I took my husband's shirt to this place. I noticed some black dots that weren't there before but the lady argued that I probably didn't notice them before but it will never come off. I thought maybe I made a mistake but it happened again when I took another shirt there. This time I made sure to take note of where the stains were. It came back with more black spots! When I confronted the owner her face turned red but lied again that it was already there and she can't take the spots off. Don't take your dry cleaning here unless you want new stains on your shirt. We have tried this cleaners for over a year now and are unsatisfied with its cleaning and customers service. Every time we go in she still asks for our name and phone number (Really?) If your being helped and some other Asian customer walks in she will leave you standing there and go and assist that customer. On her front door she says she opens at 8:00 am which is seldom the case. I have told her that I need to pick up my clothes before I go to work and her excuse is that she has to drop her child off at school. She sends your laundry out so she always has it for you three to four days later. I certainly will NOT be doing business there anymore. read more

I needed to find a place to hem shorts and thanks to reviews and pictures from Yelp, I came across Happy Cleaner & Tailoring and I am glad I did. The lady was nice and gave me no grief throughout the entire process. I liked the fact that they had two changing rooms so she could really see how much she had to pin and take in. I felt very comfortable knowing that a lady was doing the measuring and I felt safe from lukie-loos because of the dressing rooms. Although I was in no rush, the turn-around time was more than fair, just a few days. Best part of all, I was very pleased with the work and each pair of shorts fit like a glove. My only gripe was that it was $12 for each pair of shorts, but because the outcome was so positive, i would have paid more. I will definitely go back again :-) read more

I thought this was "just" another cleaners, on my way to Michael's, WRONG! Although the cleaning is very good, the tailoring is beyond incredible! The first time I took in a man's silk shirt to be repaired (damaged by a bad cleaners in Mission Viejo). It came out amazing, especially considering the damage was right in front between the pocket and buttons! Hemmed pants are back out quickly at a fair price. And on that rare occasion of weight loss,,,,,Maria will take in anything. Saved the BEST for last!!! I took in an old worn out work apron and new fabric (I just loved it, but it just wasn't repairable any longer). Maria copied it exactly, perfectly, and in less then a week! I have been going to Happy Cleaning and Tailoring for years. I have nothing but great things to say. They have gotten stains out of every item I have brought in. If you know what caused the stain tell them. They are experts. But these days, I mainly use them for alterations. I don't fit most of the cookie cutter sizes, merchants come up with these days. Took my favorite cardigan here because it belonged to my deceased mother. I explained to the staff with plugs in his ears and also to the lady with the lip ring that this cardigan was extremely precious to me, and I would gladly pay any amount for them to sew the small hole in one of the arms. I paid in advance. When I came back 2 weeks later, they still had not finished it. When I returned a week later after that, they said I hadn't paid, and made me pay twice. Worst place for dry cleaning ever. I took 3 blouses, 2 cashmeres, and 2 pants here for dry cleaning. One of the blouses came back with black spots. When I went back with it, they took it back for a re-do. That's when the guy told me that they actually don't do the cleaning here; it's done elsewhere. He made it sound like it wasn't their fault, which was fine as long as they took the spots off. I just came to pick up my blouse again and the spots were still there. I complained about it and the lady there says if it hasn't been removed, it means it can't be. Then, she adds on that I should've been careful. I explicitly explained to her that these spots weren't here when I brought it in - it was for ironing, not the cleaning; I could swear there were no spots when I dropped it off. She shrugged and gave me a "I-really-don't-give-a-****" face. They might be ok with alterations but avoid this place for cleaning/dry cleaning if you care about your clothes. read more

This alterations and dry cleaning business has been in my shopping area for several years and I have NEVER had a problem with the dry cleaning or alterations. After reading some of the reviews, I am not sure if they are giving a fair handed assessment of this proprietor. The owner is courteous, professional and easy to communicate with when requesting alterations. I appreciate her timeliness and she has always treated me as a valued customer EVEN IF she always asks for my name and my phone #...this is how she looks up the accounts!!!!! I can tell she recognizes me even though I go in infrequently. I don't find her prices any more expensive than others in the area. I went to another alterations/dry cleaner just across the block and the gal there is not friendly and I was charged $2 more for hemming of a pair of mens' jeans. I prefer Happy Cleaners for the kinder reception I receive. I would be comfortable referring anyone to this establishment. Parking has never been an issue either... read more

I have lived in Fullerton a long time and used other cleaners. The first one kept raising the prices until I had had it. The final straw was when I dropped off a comforter for laundry, and it was dry cleaned instead with a charge that was twice what I had paid for it. The second one I used kept losing my husband's nice work shirts. Always got the right number of shirts back, but one would belong to someone else in a different size. After the third lost shirt, I moved to Happy Cleaner and have been going there for many years. Maria is kind and efficient. I am always happy with the service, no shirts have been lost, and the rates are good. She is an excellent seamstress having worked for Nordstrom many years. I have referred others to her for alterations, and all came back to me as highly satisfied. It seems that a cleaners can be a bit of a crap shoot, but Happy Cleaner is one that I have found I can count on! Five Stars from me, baby!!! read more
