Terrible Experience! Front Desk attendant was rude. After waiting in the lobby for a hour I was seen for a total of 5min. Dr.Millaud was insensitive and had the tone of someone who didn't care about his patient. I was told I wouldn't be able to get any operations until I tested Negative for COVID-19..I was told this after paying $50 and waiting a hour past my "scheduled" appointment time. The Appointment the Desk Attendant said would be cancelled if I wasn't there on the time. I was on time(10AM) and didn't get "seen" until 11AM. After consulting with C & M Surgical Group(Dr. Millaud) for the extraction of all wisdom teeth, I was quoted $3,683.00. I signed the treatment plan for that price. C & M Surgical Group is a Medicaid Provider, which requires them to follow the Medicaid fee schedule for a Medicaid recipient. My insurance was to cover $199 and my out of pocket balance was $3,484.00. The office had an option to finance the remaining balance through the Lending Club, in which I was approved. The Lending Club's policy is to take 10% of the financed amount from C & M Surgical Group. C & M Surgical Group wanted me to pay them the 10%, which was against the Lending Club's policy. A representative from the Lending Club reached out to Mary Ann Millaud (office manager) that they were violating the terms of their agreement and that the patient was not responsible for the 10% fee. The day my surgery was scheduled, Mary Ann told me that Dr. Millaud could not afford to take the 10% deduction from his fee. I informed her that I read the terms and agreements of the Lending Club and spoke to a representative that informed me that I was not responsible for the charge. She proceeds to tell me that I was given a discount on my treatment, which is not true because I am a Medicaid recipient, which required them to follow the Medicaid fee schedule. Mary Ann proceeded to increase my treatment plan total to $8,683 because I would not pay an additional 10% that I was not responsible for. The route C & M Surgical Group took to try to force a patient to reimburse the 10% fee from the lending company they are affiliated with was unethical. The fact that they increased my treatment plan after it was signed was also unethical, fraudulent, and it violated the terms of Medicaid provider because they refused to follow the the Medicaid fee schedule. Another oral surgeon reviewed the treatment plan and informed me that Dr. Millaud's office was charging me for sinus closure, which my teeth were not in my sinus, which is fraudulent. read more

Let me start off by saying two years ago I had a traumatic experience with the extraction of my bottom 2 wisdom teeth at different surgical office in New Orleans so I was very nervous about getting my top ones out as for they were impacted and logged into my sinuses. Upon arrival the office seemed very clean and the staff was welcoming. Dr. Millaiud saw me rather quickly. After accurate diagnostics we scheduled my next appointment for surgery, they were very understanding and worked around my schedule. They also thankfully accept most insurance (including Medicare). The big day came around and I was freaking out. We went over the routine one more time and before I even realized I was in the car on my way home. It's been a week now and I've almost fully recovered. I can truly say I am happy with the care I received. Definitely would recommend! read more

Dr. Millaud removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth. He is well spoken, knowledgeable & punctual. From the very first moments of meeting him, I could see how much he cared about his profession as well as me, his patient. He was able to see things in X-rays that no previous doctor of mine has seen before. He gave me realistic and honest solutions to any dilemmas I had with consistent upkeep of my teeth. He is very understanding and welcoming of anyone. Not to mention, he has a phenomenal staff. They are all engaged & attentive. The warmness and friendliness of the entire office made me nothing but comfortable and confident in their abilities to complete the surgery I needed. I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Millaud and his staff! I had an appointment a week and a half ago for extractions and a biopsy. Going into the procedure, I had high anxiety, but Dr. Millaud and his staff could not have been more warm and accommodating! Before the procedure, I was well informed on what exactly needed to take place, and also given detailed post-op instructions. Following the procedure, I followed the post op instructions and had slight discomfort, but NO PAIN!! I believe I only needed to take the stronger pain medicine for 2 days, but after that, ibuprofen was enough. Dr. Millaud called personally to check on me the day after the procedure which I really appreciated. As far as cost, ALL dental procedures are pricey, but his office gives an amazing discount to patients paying with cash. There is also a lending company to accommodate patients who may need to take out a small loan, which is really helpful. I would highly recommend him to all of my peers! read more

I was referred to Dr. David G Millaud, DDS by my personal Dentist, after my yearly dental cleaning and x-rays .(No Cavities) On my lower left inside gum line I had a lesion with a hardness to it. Removal and biopsy of oral tissue-soft needed to be done. I called his office and set up my first appointment .Upon arrival I filled out the necessary paperwork, took x-rays and had my consultation with Dr. Millaud to discuss my case and it's treatment. After confirming that the surgery could be done. I was given a through explanation of what my treatment involved. I was then given, Pre-Op Instructions that was reviewed with me by the Anesthesiologist (Miss Pat). Finally my appointment was given me for my surgery date. The day of my surgery, more paperwork to sign, (Keep up the good work Mr. Donald), then I was shown to the Surgical Room. My blood pressure was taken, I was hooked up to an electrocardiograph monitor by a Technician, followed by a pulse oximeter.(Dr. Millaud's staff certainly take the safety of their patient to heart). Next, the Anesthesiologist (Miss Pat) started an IV drip in my arm, when the Doctor was ready to start, on his orders she administered the general anesthesia. That stuff is GOOD, I don't know when I went under, but as I was gently awaken I knew my surgery was over I was allowed time to wake up from the effects of the anesthesia. I was given and explained my Post-Op Instructions Sheet.(My husband also was informed) Also given to me were my prescriptions to be filled. I was then helped into a wheelchair, that was used to transport me downstairs to my waiting car driven by my husband.(As stated in the Pre-Op Instructions - An Escort had to stay and drive you home). After I got home I had very little bleeding, only changed my packing of gauze dressing once, after applying pressure to the area. I did "iced" that side of my face/mouth for several hours. I usually experience nausea and vomiting after taking anesthesia. But, BLESS Dr. Millaud, he added an extra medication to my IV to prevent that from occurring.(He also prescribed a medication to help with nausea or vomiting just in case I needed it. AWESOME Doctor). Thankfully no nausea or vomiting, NONE. In fact I only took one pain pill, didn't need anymore after that . My mouth never pained me. Like I said, I was in the hands of one of the Best Oral Surgeon in the Greater New Orleans area ! After a few days I received a phone call to check on how I was doing and if I needed anything. I followed the Post-Op instructions until my Follow-up Appointment .Dr. Millaud checked the incision site and said all looked good , no swelling, no infection at the site. He said he would contact me when he receive the biopsy results back from the Lab. His office called a few days later with the good news, Nothing bad was found. Hallelujah! So I would sincerely and completely recommend , The C & M Surgical Group, for your dental needs, you will be taken care of with the upmost respect and dignity. GO TEAM MILLAUD!!! Rude, visibly impatient, unprofessional & most definitely not the friendly face you want to see behind the knife! C & M Surgical Group was an overall amazing experience. I was referred to Dr. Millaud for getting my wisdom teeth surgical removed. Upon arrival the staff was friendly and very helpful. When I first meet Dr. Millaud he was very humorous and nice , however he definitely knows his stuff. He talked about how the best option was to take them all out at one time and he would be able to fit me in whenever was convenient for me. My surgery was held on 02/19/2020, before my surgery began the staff was very helpful in informing me of what to expect after and what I need to eat after and how the medicine should be taken. I did cry a bit but the surgery was very successful. The pain was definitely intense but the medicine did help. After the fourth day the pain was very manageable. When I went back for my follow up appointment everything was healing well and most of stitches had began to fall out prior. I'm glad that I was referred here. Definitely one of the best dental experience I've had by far. From my experience I highly recommend Dr. Millaud and I suggested getting them all the wisdom teeth removed at once. read more

Our son recently had his impacted wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Millaud. From the first phone call until the follow up visit after the procedure, everything went like clockwork. Dr. Millaud's staff is top notch. They were polite and courteous, making us feel immediately at home. They helped us navigate the medical/dental insurance confusion, presenting us with a clear invoice of what our cost responsibility would be. Before the procedure we were given both written information and a video to help us understand the procedure, risks, etc. We also were given a clear and concise list of post-surgical do's and don't's. Nothing was left to chance, and if we had any questions (which we didn't) we had reminders from Dr. Millaud and at least three individual staff members that they would be more than happy to answer any questions or concerns. Dr. Millaud himself is very personable. He is not only a talented oral surgeon, but has an excellent bedside manner, making both us and our son feel comfortable with what to expect from the procedure. He even personally called to check on my son the day after surgery! I cannot stress enough what a smooth experience this was. We recommend Dr. Millaud with no reservations whatsoever! I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled. I'm super scared of needles. When I found out I had to be sedated I was so afraid. When the doctor stuck me I felt nothing. My pain and discomfort lasted for about two weeks which he said is to be expected because it's a surgery. All in all great experience. read more

My advice to everyone is to get your service done and wait for your bill because they're crooks. In January of 2015 I had the opportunity of letting the best oral surgeon in New Orleans do my complex surgery that took 8 hours and 5 days of recovery in the hospital. Everything went fine until I received my bills from the other providers of the surgery, the insurance company applied my deductible to them and paid Dr. David Millaud 100%. Here's the kicker, I paid my deductible and maximum out of pocket to Dr. Millaud. To this day I haven't received a refund let alone a bill from his office. He did such a great job I would have paid more but my insurance company gave me a max and they covered the rest. I'm good and he's a great surgeon, but he's a crook.
