Our technician,Brian,was on time,called prior,came with shoe covers,quickly identified problems with toilet,gave us estimates and couple options to think about. I called next morning and next business day he returned and completed repair. Again on time,very professional and leave no dirt or waste after job. Prices are horribly high now everywhere,but plumbing can't be avoided,so their price point is adequate to area,but service is superb. A tech came out, looked at the wiring, and proceeded to work on the system down stairs. Apparently it was due to the refrigerant being low. Had no idea, that refrigerant was needed to produce heat. All in all, it was fixed and was done quickly. Not sure how the price compares but I think it was fair.

This past week we had a part failure on our heat pump, and Mike personally walked us through various troubleshooting procedures over the phone before coming by to examine the unit in person. He ended up ordering a replacement part, coming back the next day and spending over an hour installing it and ensuring it was working properly. And for all this work, four years after installation? No charge at all. Mike has been in the business for years, and genuinely sees his customers as valuable, long-term relationships. It's borderline incredible that in an era where seemingly everyone in the universe is out to nickel and dime you for every little thing, people like Mike are still putting in the work. Our remodel started in July and after multiple days of no-shows, people walking off the job, and lack of quality work to include them installing used electrical outlets, unprofessional project manager and finally abandonment of project by them never returning to finish work and then never communicating with us about a walk through, we have a new contractor taking over the job 6 months later. Beyond frustrating! I give two stars because the tile guy did a nice job and the plumber was kind. Lesson learned- Do Not use a big box store for a remodel and don't use Nichols and Phipps for remodeling work.

Between the 35% markup on parts, charging to go pick up your part, and the supposed "contract" rate on the labor, you'd better just get ready to PAY. You'd be better off making sure there's an HVAC guy in your family! I can buy the parts cheaper than they supposedly can! CFS ate up FWHarris, our original installer, and they were great. I would LOVE to find an honest HVAC company that will charge me fairly and not a "book" rate. They tried to tell me I got a deal because they could have charged me $200.00 more! I my property managers and they contracted CFS to come fix the issue. They said they would come that same day, and did not. But they never let us know that. They said we'd need a new part and they'd overnight it and they'd be here first thing tomorrow. Tomorrow rolls around...no phone call...so we called them. Our part wasn't shipped so they said they'd come first thing the next day. Again, we had to call them to find out. It's 2 days before Thanksgiving and we are without hot water and we are hosting 8 people. Do not ever use this company or you will be left in the dark waiting for people who do not show up. I am actually filing a claim with the BBB against them right now.

Thea, the owner / service manager, came out to inspect our AC system and immediately noticed something dangerous: the previous installer had set up the outdoor disconnect without a fuse, which is a major safety issue. Because of that, the wiring had burned and nearly made its way into the house. T patiently explained everything to me--what went wrong, why it was dangerous, and what the proper setup should be. He recommended replacing the disconnect with a fused version, and clearly laid out the potential risks and what to expect. When we turned the system back on, we were holding our breath... and to our relief, the 10-year-old compressor kicked on just fine. T could have easily told me I needed a whole new unit, but instead, he was honest, transparent, and incredibly knowledgeable. I even looked up everything he explained afterward--and it all checked out. By the way, the communication was excellent--I reached out through Yelp and was kept in the loop with email reminders and messaging right through the app. Everything felt smooth and professional from start to finish. In the attached photos, you can see the burnt wiring and connector from before, and the new fused disconnect they installed. The difference is night and day.
