It had everything you could ever want a convenience store to have, plus an amazing ice cream bar! Yes, Stewarts is known for it's ice cream (apparently). Not only did they have a scoop shop that served up cones, sundaes, and milkshakes.....they also had an entire freezer aisle of Stewart's quarts and pints to go, complete with mass quantities of all the toppings you could want...in case a late-minute ice cream sundae party were to pop up. I got a dish of ice cream (decorated with toppings from their free toppings bar!!!) and the hubs got a banana split (it was on sale!). The woman at the counter couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. She was a welcoming face at the end of a long drive. Stewart's....I can't wait to see you again!

They also sell vacuum packed pasta with seasoning in it. In the fridge you can find frozen sausages. The salami is priced based on the weight which is determined at the counter. According to yelp app, you get free item for purchase over $15 (I forgot what it was) but I was told that is an old item so it was not available. The store keeper was very nice to give me a pack of olives.

We went directly upstairs and…read moredidn't check out the general store on the first floor, although it looked to have a large assortment of things. I would have liked to check it out, but my teenage sons were ready to leave after visiting the gift shop. The gift shop was clearly marked with an arrow to go up the stairs. There were so many cool things, we circled the shop several times and kept finding new items we didn't see previously. Wind chimes, incense, mugs, toys, clothes, kitchen gadgets, paintings, candles, etc. It really had something for everyone. The cashier was very nice and offered assistance while also allowing us privacy to shop without feeling like we were being watched. My only suggestion would be for more souvenir items specific to VT. There were a few but not many. I was able to find some silly things - a VT tic tac toe board and a small map of VT puzzle. There were bottle openers as well, but that wouldn't have been suitable for the friends we were getting gifts for. My son bought himself a multi-tool pen and little notepad.
