They make it look so easy that you may question it, but if you're a fan of good Americanized Chinese takeout, then go here. For several years now we have been unable to find reliably good Chinese food in the area. There have been some restaurants in the past (we are 27 year residents), but none that fit the bill until now. A did a search on google 'Yelp Chinese food Park Slope' (we are actually in Windsor Terrace). Top of the list was (C And Y), and most of the reviews were positive. We ordered Bean Curd and cashew Nuts which was very good, a tasty yet not overwhelming sauce, and get this; vegetable that were still crunchy and tasty. The Shrimp and Lobster sauce was a bit thin, but this proved to be a positive quality. The flavor was not dominated by corn starch which is the standard thickener. Over some almost perfectly cooked brown rice (not mushy, but not overcooked and dry) it was a good dish. The Corn and Chicken soup was good (not exceptional), and the House Fried Rice the same. As of now we have a go to place in the neighborhood. As and extra perk this was at 10:30 on a weeknight, and we live about 1-1/2 miles from C And Y.
