I arrived to the address listed on his website and lo and behold,there was a small sign saying they moved. Ok,I'm already annoyed but I drove a few more minutes and saw the storefront sign.I opened the door to what looked like a small building under construction,not a sign anymore.I managed to look in the window from the street and saw an empty space with some hair dryers so I figured this must be the place.I have no idea if anyone works there or wtf is going on,but I got out of there as fast as I could fuming all the way. This owner has been in business long enough to get his act together. His website has his old address,I tried to reach him just to say what a disgrace he is,but he hadnt even set up his voicemail. When I saw a groupon available a couple of years ago, I decided to try again with a different stylist. I scheduled with Joanne and I couldn't be happier. She is one of the only stylists I've ever been to that leaves me with the look I came in wanting. She's wonderfully kind and personable as well, so I always feel comfortable coming in to see her. I've recommended her to at least a dozen people who can't find a hair stylist who will listen to them and the ones who took my advice are all hooked! I must say that the environment there is very relaxed. The staff is like family, and I know that some clients consider that unprofessional. The casual atmosphere doesn't bother me at all as long as I feel I am a priority to them as a client. They also serve coffee and bagels in the mornings which can help pass the time while being colored or drying. I cannot recommend Joanne enough!

She has many loyal clients who see her for all of their styling needs, but I don't live near-by enough to come on a regular basis. However, I make the trip a couple of times a year to have my hair straightened, and I hope I never have to go anywhere else. Yuna takes the time needed to do an outstanding job: anywhere from almost 4 to around 5 hours depending on how long my hair is and how it's cut. She works in her shop alone, and the bonus is, she's wonderful company and an awesome "host." She even has a flat screened tv set up in her pleasant shop to help pass the time. Not many people do Japanese straightening anymore, I think because it's so time-consuming and labor intensive, but her price is more than reasonable, and my hair always comes out glossy straight and..yes.. healthy. She's a professional, and my hair's health has always been her priority.
