Crab queso dip was basically Velveeta with spices and not actually sure if there was crab in there. Associated chips were very basic and bland. Ranch served with fried pickles was awesome. Fried pickles themselves were fine. The crab cakes were so deep fried and bland. The remoulade tasted like salad dressing. Glad I went with the crab cake appetizer as my meal vs paying $10 more for the entree with more fried disappointment. Tanya was a great server, very attentive and friendly. Building is cute. Pros: *They take reservations, which I highly encourage during tourist season or special event periods. *They have vegan options. Cons: *It's popular with tourists, therefore, even with reservations, the staff is overwhelmed. That equals (at least for our party) long wait times for; your drinks, your order to even be taken, and your food to arrive. *Don't even think about asking about when your food will be coming out. You'll be essentially scolded by the manager by them showing you the ticket of when your order was put in vs when you got it. For the record and in case the manager reads this, we were seated at 7:20, got our first drink 25 minutes or so later... AFTER we got our appetizers, finished our appetizers and those drinks before our waiter even came back to check on us or take our dinner order. When he did, he left in the middle for ten minutes to go get another table water, then returned and finished taking our order. We finally got our food at almost 9:00. We ordered another drink when we ordered our mains and it took over 30 minutes and a reminder to get those as well. Our orders weren't complex or special, by the way. *The food is just okay. I had the vegan tuna, which I've always wanted to try, and I liked it. I also order two sides, asparagus and truffle new potatoes. The asparagus was basic grilled. The new potatoes had no truffle taste at all and I felt needed more salt... and I am not a salt person. Another person at the table said the same about the potatoes. Hubby had the prime rib, and he said it was okay, not spectacular. *They automatically added a 20% tip. We were a party of six. Perhaps that's why? I've never seen that for a party of that size, but I guess that's their standard. Be aware. We do normally tip that, but probably would have done 15% for the service here since I felt much of the wait was on the waiter himself. (Other tables near us that he served and were seated after us got their food long before we did.) As locals will we go back or recommend this place? Eh... I don't know. Maybe? Went on a Friday night for the prime rib special, probably some of the best prime rib I have ever eaten. A pleasant place with staff was excellent. Also a busy place so it looks like it is the place to be. We'll definitely return and try over things over the prime rib in. read more

Went here for dinner after years of looking at that rugged looking building on Thomas I'm so glad they changed locations. So the menu you can't go wrong it seems lots of great choices at more than reasonable prices. I got the c level sampler in all its glory and it did not disappoint. My wife's grouper was a tad underdone but had a table full of food and the crab cakes are some the best around. Don't pass on the key lime pie even though it was $6 a slice it was very good. We had out of town guests visiting. Our reservation was timely available. That was the end of the pleasantries. We were seated in what seemed to be a wind tunnel. When the ac kicked on it blew from a 10 inch open, undampered vent straight onto our table. I asked the hostess to move us. She balked. I asked if we could close the door to the ventroom. She said it was ok. Apparently, not so. I closed the door, only to have it repeatedly reopened. Some comments about it being a fire exit. Which made zero sense bc it was an internal doorway. No efforts were made to lessen the uncomfortable situation. This made a potentially nice meal VERY unpleasant. Service was fair, not an automatic 20% tip worth. Food was pretty good, but cold. Ambiance, unacceptable. Instead of a 2% "military discount", there should have been a 50% nuisance reduction. read more

We stopped by the new C-Level restaurant (new location that is) to check it out and we LOVED it! The interior is gorgeous! But the drinks... now they were fantastical! The 'Drink my blues away' was a delightful combination of blueberry vodka, fresh blueberries and lemon, a little bit of simple and the lavender butters tied it all together for a very flavorful combination (and not real sweet - which is perfect for me). All three of us voted this one as our favorite. The Ruby rosé fizz was a light and refreshing cocktail with a hint of sweetness. It has Deep eddy ruby red vodka, organic rose water and mixed with a heavy amount of Truly rosé spiked sparkling water. This was my least favorite out of the three (still delicious but hard to compare with the other two) but my friends enjoyed this one. Lastly we had the drink of the week, the 'Pear-fect mule' which was delicious and taste like Christmas. It has pear and cranberry, neither of which were overpowering but were delicious additions to the traditional ginger beer and lime. We also ordered fried pickles and they were crispy, lightly battered, very fresh and running a tight race for the best fried pickles I've ever had. Their entire menu looked quite salivating. Some items seemed a but pricey but that's definitely not going to stop us from going back to their newly opened location. We're looking forward to our next visit!!! read more

Absolutely amazing first time experience! We made reservations for a party of 6 at the high top table in the bar area. It was our daughter's 21st birthday. Our waiter Jody was amazing! He made sure everything was perfect! The food was beyond expectations! We had the grouper bites and the crab queso for appetizers. Entrees included the crab legs for the birthday girl, grouper, filet, ribeye, tuna steak and fried shrimp. All amazing. We had a birthday cake with us and without even having to ask Jody had brought our plates and forks! Our bar drinks were also very good! It was a great experience and we will definitely be back!! I will say after reading many reviews with a couple negative ones the only ones I agree with are the ones about the hostess. She wasn't all that pleasant but I expected that already so it didn't spoil anything. She seems very young. Maybe she needs a little training in customer service! read more

We had the fried mushrooms as a starter, and they were gone within 60 seconds of hitting the table!!! And let me tell you about the bananas foster old Forestster, mind you I bartended in a fine dining restaurant for many many years and I am from Kentucky so I know my bourbon old fashions, I have only ever had one old-fashioned better than that one and it is made by my own mother. It was EXCELLENT!!! Between the six of us we had an order of the crab legs, ahi tuna steak, the 16 ounce prime rib, a seafood platter, a kids cheeseburger, and a kids fried shrimp. Every single meal was fantastic! Also our server Sarah was very friendly and attentive. This was a terrible experience. Our family wanted seafood and we seen that they had a couple of vegan options for my wife and I so we gave it a chance. First of all the service was horrible. After waiting almost 45 mins for our food, our waiter messed up 2 of our meals. One of the buns was literally hard as a rock, and when i brought it to his attention he even acknowledged that he noticed that when he brought it out (yet said nothing). A sauce was left off a sandwich and we were informed, only after we made it known that it was missing, that it was due to the sauce being moldy. After eating a mediocre meal our waiter spilled sauce next to the table and just left it. This was the first time that we had to clean up a mess that a waiter made. And to top it off we were given the wrong ticket to fill out. We were met in the parking lot 15 minutes later with the right ticket. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. All of our food was spectacular, but those shrimp and grits were beyond fantastic. The shrimp melts on your tongue like butter. The grits made me weak in the knees. Truly the best food in PCB. Of all the years I've been coming to PCB, I had no idea about this place. I wanted crab legs and everyone else wanted steak or chicken so we found this place to suffice everyone in my party. We arrived around 6PM and this place was packed! Since we had 6, we were put on a waitlist. After about 15 minutes, we were called and sat in what seemed to be an overflow dining area as it was just us and one other table back there. It was so much quieter so I was pretty happy with it! Among being sat we were greeted by our server and I'm still unsure of how to take her. She was friendly but a little too sassy for my taste. My father in law asked if they had baked potatoes and her response was "all we have is what is on the menu" fair, but there are nicer ways to say it. My mother in law asked for her chicken to be cooked extra well done, our server laughed at her and said "so, no salmonella, I got it?" The food was good. The crab cheese dip was some of the best dip I've ever tasted and so were the cheese sticks. The okra was great and the Brussels were even better. My only complaint on the food was that the crab was overdone and because of that it shredded in the shells so it was really hard to get out. They were still enjoyable but hard to get a good piece. Had dinner here tonight with family and friends (total of 10). I will start off by saying when we got there it was busy but on the early side of dinner rush, so we were seated almost immediately. Our server got to us very quickly and was very informative and helpful with her knowledge of the menu. The young lady was very attentive and kept our drinks full, and was also helpful with suggestions. I ordered the Mahi Mahi, probably the best fish I have had since coming down to PCB, the sauce on it was amazing, and I also got a side of the truffle potatoes and fried okra which both were very good. The sauce that comes on the Mahi was phenomenal! Got to have a short conversation with the owner and was happy to have met him. I would eat here every day of my trip if I could (didn't budget to eat out every night) but every time I come back to PCB I will make sure to stop and eat here every time I come down. P.S. Not a fan. In town for a conference and the locals suggested this restaurant. We had reservations and I was happy about that due to the amount of people waiting outside. Inside the decor is cute and rustic. The lighting was nice as well. Our hostess was awesome. She is the reason this place received three stars as opposed to two. Our appetizers of choice were calamari and crab queso dip. There was a fried shrimp shell in one of my calamari bites. Gross. The crab dip was cold. Queso is supposed to be hot and dripping off the "vehicle" of choice. In this case the app was served with tortilla chips. The dip was so cold my tortilla broke off in the dip. The menu stated they were homemade tortillas. Ummm.....No! We had four others at the table that didn't mind cold crab dip. The people I dined with are acquaintances not friends, not being rude, but my friends wouldn't eat cold crab dip. We would politely ask the hostess to reheat somehow. I took one bite and one bite only. No appetizers for me 99% of the time, I check my Yelp app to see the rating and also what is most often bragged about. In this case, it was the grouper. I asked for mine to be prepared blackened Oscar style. Our food came out relatively quickly especially taking into consideration the amount of diners. The two sides I chose were collards and fontina grits. The grouper, hollandaise sauce and crab were all cold. Not luke warm....straight up cold. My sides were hot which I was grateful for. The collards had really good flavor. They had bacon in them. I pulled out the large chunks of bacon but I know the collards wouldn't have tasted as good as they were without the bacon cooked along with them. The only issue I had with the collards was all the stems in there that were still firm. I'm fine with stems but they need a little attention. In my humble opinion make the stems tender or omit them completely. The fontina grits were the best part of my entree. They were hot, creamy, cheesy....just like grits are supposed to be. Good job chef! Back to my grouper All layers of ingredients were cold. Clearly the fish and Oscar style crab sat there while other entrees from the table were being prepared. Don't they know fish should be the last entree prepared when others have steak? The fish should've been prepared while the steaks rested. I kept my sides while the hostess reheated my grouper and crab in the microwave. Delicious right To be honest, I did tell her she to do whatever needed to be done to make it really hot. Never did I think she would microwave it. Now the ends of my fish are hard but it was hot. If that's the best they can do then fine. Other restaurants would've remade the dish or at least put back in sauté pan?!? I took about five bites and was done. The fish had zero flavor and the hollandaise sauce too thick. I did get a to go box because I didn't want it to go to waste. Why not microwave it once more to reheat since I knew I would be hungry in an hour considering how much dinner I ate. It was also "mkt price" which who knew what that dollar amount was. I didn't even check the receipt. I would have been upset. I decided to leave my to go box on the table. Pan seared under seasoned grouper then microwaved twice just didn't sound appetizing to me. Going to bed hungry but guess what....I've already got a breakfast spot picked out with my trusty Yelp app. Let's hope it doesn't disappoint read more

Nice location on Front Beach Rd. Great service but food was mixed - some good, some not so good. Started with the Crab Queso dip which was a little spicy, cheesy, and definitely had a crab taste but don't expect big chunks of crab. Chips tasted old and most were crushed - like what you'd find at the bottom of the bag. The rolls and the side salads were very good. Several of us had the 12 oz. Prime rib. It was okay not great. Two of us ordered medium rare and got rare - close to raw. We sent them back to be cooked more. We should have been tipped off when ordering and the waitress said "we recommend you get the prime blackened " we all declined because good prime should be cut from the roast and not need to be thrown on the grill or submerged in aus jus to get to temperature! We won't order that again. The filet was good. Two had the pork chops and said they were very good. They top those with a bacon jam. The sides were all good. The menu had a lot of choices and we'll probably go back and try them again in the future. read more
