It further demonstrates that Blue Oval Moving Services is an unprofessional business and that buyers should beware! No one ever told your movers to drink from a hose; there was tap water and water from the refrigerator dispenser available. The three Blue Oval representatives that (almost) moved us were grown men; I did not realize that they needed their hands held, asked if they needed water or that I was required to bake cookies for them. $2,300 was no bargain, especially considering the services were never complete! The same services should have been $1,600 to $1,800 (check www.uhaul.com) but your family business seemed nice and (Joey) promised a smooth move so I decided to go with you. What a mistake that turned out to be. A tip? Really? Blue Oval was paid $145/hr for a 3 person crew which was really like a 2 person crew. $145/hr is a four person crew rate. Separately, a 2 person crew at 15 hours is not the same as a 4 person crew at 7.5 hours. The two guys doing all the work, John and Dylan, were worn out. I do feel sorry for John and Dylan because you and Joey decided not to provide adequate resources for the move. That decision to work your son and his friend like dogs is on you and Joey. That is inhumane treatment. Don't worry, I have filed my complaint with the Better Business Bureau and if that doesn't go anywhere, the next step will be small claims court. If Blue Oval would have upheld its contract and commitment, these additional steps would be unnecessary.

PDQ Movers and Deliveries were outstanding. Travis, Devin, and his team were the hardest working…read moreguys. They were very respectful and carefully handled every item of the move. Everyone was especially polite and friendly, too. We had sold a house and took a lot of time researching moving companies, for the move from the IE to OC. We spoke with Travis who quoted us and explained the moving process. He was professional and good to speak with. The time he estimated (8 hours) and the cost to complete the move all proved to be 100% accurate. Devin and his team (two younger guys) arrived right on time, the day of the move. They worked so hard. All of us were extremely impressed by how hard working and dedicated the three of them were. I never saw them do anything but work. When they needed to use the restroom, for example, they were incredibly polite about it as well. They moved an entire house full of furniture without a single ding or scratch anywhere. When the refrigerator/washer-dryer wouldn't fit through our back door, they unscrewed the door off, and were able to carefully get it through. They then put everything back together with no issues. For the final part of the move, they had organized the truck so that the first half could go into a storage unit. We knew they were trustworthy and let them handle that on their own. They got everything to fit into storage in a clean and well ordered manner. I could not have ever done it better than they had. They finished the move by taking the final items to our home. We have three flights of narrow stairs (townhouse) and they were able to get everything upstairs without issue. Some of the items were extremely heavy and could of easily broken or hit the walls etc. They were really careful with everything and even put the stuff together once they were done (bed frames, mattresses, etc.). They did all of this work on the day before Thanksgiving, too. It had been raining heavy all day as well. They covered everything and nothing got wet either. To note, we supplied our own boxes (we didn't expect them to provide boxes for us, since I saw how one other reviewer here dinged them for that, which is unfair considering how expensive boxes are). We also had emptied out all of the drawers, cabinets, and shelves ahead of time, into boxes that were taped and ready to go. We didn't want to waste their time or our time with that stuff, so that they could focus on getting the heavy items/boxes into the truck - to save my spine the pain. All in all, it was a great experience working with them. I highly recommend them. They're honest, hardworking, and professional.

At one point, Armando complained to me that he didn't want to spend all day figuring out how to put together our Lovesac couch. I felt uncomfortable by the complaint directly made to me, and thought it was unprofessional to complain to the client. I didn't end up having him build the couch after all. They did put together 2 beds and our dining table, but they re-built our dining table and master bed incorrectly and we had to figure that out and re-do them. They didn't put together 6 pieces of large furniture that were broken down during the move when they initially guaranteed that he would. They didn't do a final walk through with me, which they were supposed to do, so during the hectic day, I didn't realize what was missing. Toward the end, it seemed like they were in a rush to leave. I felt very uncomfortable at the end of the day when Armando was yelling and cussing at the other workers to work faster on an extremely hot day. Overall, I think the movers did a decent job of bringing in our belongings. They worked hard and seemed to show care for our items. We fed them well and made sure they were hydrated, and they expressed gratitude. We will not use them again.

I started with Rapid Resolve and Yelp gave me the option of sending my request out to other vendors as well. Sure, why not I figured. Honestly I didn't even need or communicate with anyone else. Rapid Resolve got back to me super quick with a quote ($250 base rate) and I scheduled the pick up for today. I sent my request out earlier this week with a specific date I needed pickup as my new couch is also coming today. The other quotes coming back either declined the pick up or were the same price, for those curious. The communication from the first message to the pick up was pure perfection. It was quick, friendly, helpful and just amazing. I tend to stress over things like this and having a very fast answer really gave me no time to worry. And the communication throughout the whole process was this way. They confirmed my appointment. They sent a reminder. They even sent a text when they were 5 minutes out this morning. They were on time, they were quick, they were friendly... this was the easiest process EVER and I am so grateful. I was able to pay with a credit card which was awesome. I intended to pay with cash but I didn't have a chance to get to the bank, so I wanted to make sure I could still tip so having the option to use a credit card was appreciated. (I did also ask, currently they do not take Venmo). Also, I live in an apartment which is not always easy for items like this. Space is limited. They were very respectful of my space and items on my porch and in my home. Paid, tipped, offered them both a bottle of water and that was it. It was such a smooth interaction from the beginning to the end. I can not say enough positive things about this company and the guys I interacted with.
