NF Moving - Intricate steep driveway - Movers Near Me

We've moved a few times before and this was by far our worst moving experience. We paid for 3 movers with the expectation that it might take 4 hours max. The drive from one house to the next was less than 30 minutes. We didn't have a lot of furniture to move. We had no fridge, no couches, no dining table, no dining chairs; we did have 2 bed frames, 3 mattresses, one dresser, 2 desks and a washer and dryer. We also had a treadmill and bins and bags. We didn't fill the entire truck and didn't require a second trip back and forth. The guys were nice enough but one of them was new on the job, it was his first day. Totally respect that, but when a lot of time is spent with the other guys teaching him and answering his questions (which did slow the process down), the cost starts adding up. Our understanding was that we were being provided with full-service moving. We weren't told that mattresses and furniture wouldn't be wrapped in plastic or protected in any way. Had we known that, we would've done that ourselves ahead of time. They had one mattress bag, which was an extra cost of $20, but our other mattresses were not protected. One of them even got ripped. Not sure why there would be only one mattress bag available when going to a job? The 2 bed frames that we had are upholstered in fabric and those were not wrapped or protected either. Very frustrating. I made sure all of our things were organized and ready to go before they arrived and that all walk spaces were clear so that things could move as quickly as possible. That didn't seem to matter because they were moving at a leisurely pace the whole time. Before leaving our home to go to the next one, I got in my car to follow them to our new house and our entire garage smelled like cigarettes. It's insane to me that they would do that in anyone's garage or around anyone's furniture/belongings. Once they arrived at our new house, they smoked by the truck before they started moving anything into the house. The entire move took 6.5 hours and we paid $1200 total. And this was the cash price so it would've been more had we paid by card. In the past, we have moved with double the amount of stuff and moved into a 3-story condo where guys had to bring furniture and a fridge up to the second and third floors and were hustling the entire time. I was absolutely baffled that it took 6.5 hours to move what little we did have. It was an awful and very expensive experience. Definitely would not recommend using this moving company. It pains me to leave a negative review because I take pride in finding the best in every situation but it's important that people know this information before making a decision about using this company. Our things did make it to our house, although some of it did get dented, scratched, dirty and we learned our lesson to stay clear of NF Moving if we ever need to move again. Editing to respond to what NF Moving wrote: the only picture requested from us was one of our treadmill, which we sent shortly after it was requested. If we had been asked for other pictures, we would have had no problem sending them. There were no access issues whatsoever. Doors were open, garages at both homes were open, pathways were clear to walk through with no obstructions. We made a conscious effort to make it as easy as possible to move through both homes. At one point, the new guy asked if they take a break for lunch and one of the other guys responded that they don't but that if he needed to stop by a store or gas station, they could do that. I left to go to our new home after the movers did and arrived probably 10 minutes before they did. I'm guessing their arrival delays were because they stopped for food. read more

Disappointed by Lack of Transparency and Professionalism I reached out to this moving company after receiving a quote through Yelp from a representative named Nolan P. The written quote (screenshot attached) clearly advertised "all-inclusive pricing" with no extra fees for gas, truck, or mileage, and stated that furniture disassembly & reassembly were included in every move. However, during our phone conversation, Nolan mentioned there would be an additional charge (around $100) but said he could "check with the owner to get it discounted." This was confusing since that fee is nowhere in the written quote. When I politely asked for clarification, his tone became defensive and short. Instead of addressing the concern clearly, he began explaining how moving works "since he's been a mover for four years," in a way that felt dismissive. He also spoke negatively about other companies, which I found unprofessional. I sent photos within 20 minutes as requested, but when he called back, he repeated earlier questions and gave an estimate that seemed unusually high compared to previous moves of similar size and distance. When I mentioned furniture disassembly, he said they "don't really do that," which directly contradicted the quote. When I pointed this out, he argued and backtracked rather than acknowledging the inconsistency. Throughout the call, I repeatedly apologized and tried to stay calm, explaining that I wasn't trying to argue--just to understand the pricing and terms. I even suggested that the company update their automated quote message to prevent future confusion. Unfortunately, he remained short and dismissive, eventually saying there were other companies I could contact. For context, I have only ever left one other review on Yelp--and it was positive. I don't take writing negative feedback lightly. I'm a disabled veteran with a pregnant fiancée and was hoping to find a trustworthy, transparent company to make our move easier. I was genuinely excited to hire this company based on their strong Yelp reputation, but after this experience, I didn't feel confident in their honesty or professionalism. My intention isn't to insult or attack anyone--only to share my honest experience and help future customers make informed decisions. I understand the company may choose to rebut this review or suggest I misunderstood, but that's not the case. From the start, Nolan responded to our inquiry right away and set up a virtual walkthrough. The walkthrough via Facetime was so easy and quick - he was able to give us an estimate for packing & moving our 5 bedroom home. Price for both packing and moving was very fair. There were no hidden fees or extra cost for driving which we appreciated. It was also very easy to set up a date. For the size of our house, Nolan recommended 4 packers on one day and 6 movers to move in two trucks the following day. The crew came on time and ready to work. They packed everything so efficiently and provided boxes (separate fees for materials added at the end - fair pricing). I was most impressed by their work in my kitchen which was full of breakable things. Packing service was so great for us - we just got rid of a lot of unnecessary stuff leading up to it. They individually packed fragile things separately and labeled every box. Moving day was no different - the crew went to work right away and packed everything tightly into the trucks. There were no damages left. I was so impressed with how hard everyone worked, still with a smile on their faces. Once we moved to the new house, they unpacked even faster and assembled everything they had to take apart in the move. They only thing they did not do is mount the televisions which was made clear before I signed the contracts. Besides that, they even hung our clothes in the closets which was so incredibly helpful. Overall, I was very happy with this company. I don't know how we could have packed and moved in two days without their help. Stop clicking and swiping...I found a professional, honest, reasonably priced company for you: NF Moving. I've moved four times over the past five years and NF Moving made the competition look like a herd of water buffaloes tromping through tulips. I won't mention the OTHER movers by name, but one firm didn't pack my crystal lamp correctly and glass flowers fell off and shattered. They also nicked and dinged walls on the way to the truck AND charged more than NF moving. In comparison, Nolan and KC of NF moving took extraordinary care of all our possessions, ensuring outdoor items like rusty rebar and gardening items would not brush up against and stain our mattresses and couches. They worked hard the entire 9 hours, taking a 45 minute break for lunch and didn't charge us for their chow break. By the way, prior to the move, make sure you Nolan a video tour of what you're transporting and/or send him photos so he can give you an accurate projection of total costs. I value someone who communicates with me what their plan is and comes to me with challenges. Nolan's English is superb and his customer service skills are the best I've encountered in the Inland Empire Moving community. NF moving gives you a reasonable hourly quote and no hidden fees for distance, miles, or the truck. I received five different company quotes for my move. One mover offering me a flat rate then gushed he'd give me $1,000 off because I was a veteran. Sound great? Nope. Their price was still more than $700 more than NF moving charged me.
