Came in around noon on a Saturday and expected to have to wait but they took me right away and estimated it would take 15 minutes. They've got a couple of patio chairs and magazines for use while you wait. Customer service was good and prices were fair. Also, you get $5 off if you write a review while you wait, which is what I'm doing now. With that discount it only cost me $42 for my 2010 Hyundai Accent. Will come back again. read more

Choose this place due to reviews stating it was quick, easy and cheap. Went right after work and arrived around 4:30pm and I was the only customer there. It seemed to be run by a middle aged Asian couple; both were very nice. They said it would take only 10 minutes and much to my surprise it did. They sent my results directly to DMV and I was able to use the coupon that I found through the photo gallery on Yelp. All you have to do is show it from your phone and your set. Extremely helpful and courteous! The catalytic converter on my 5 yr old 2009 Nissan Altima wouldn't register as "ready" to get smog checked. The staff there helped me figure out the problem & told me how to fix it. They also worked w/me on payment so I wouldn't have to pay every time I went in to test the cars readiness. read more

Third visit - and most telling... Brought the 1989 Porsche 930 in. Because it's an old car, it needed to hop on the rollers and actually do the sniffer test and I was half expecting it to fail miserably. I followed the advice of the smog technician (asked last time I was here) and drove the car around for 20 minutes on the freeway to heat up the catalytic converter and brought it straight over. Hope beyond hopes, the car passed with flying colors. Even if the car had failed, though, the 5 star review would still stand as the failure would be reflection on me and the car, not these awesome people. read more

This place should actually get NO STARS. The customer service SUCKS! I had researched smog check places in my area and found they got good reviews, so even though there were closer places to me I decided to drive there on my way home from work. When I got there however, I saw two men chatting (neither greeted me). When I asked if either one worked there the Asian man who was there gave me a sarcastic "yes" answer. I had gotten there at 4:50pm. The sign said they closed at 5pm, so I figured since I got there before 5pm they would take me. Well, I was wrong. There was only one other car there, but when I asked a man to help me he said "We are closed." I told him it was not 5pm yet and that I had heard good reviews from online about his place and that is why I went out of my way to pick his location, but he said he already had his last car and told me to come back in the morning. I work in customer service and know this is NOT the way you treat customers. Successful businesses will continue to serve customers as long as they are there before the actual closing time. If you actually DO NOT close at 5pm, then you should put 4:30pm on your sign because if not, you are falsely advertising to potential customers like me. Personally, customer service matters a lot. There are so many smog check places to choose from in Long Beach and the way you treat customers makes a BIG difference in whether people will choose your establishment or the one across the street. Therefore, if you are looking for a place to consistently get good service THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR IT! One day you may be rushing to get there before 5pm and make it and they will turn you away too. No way will I be going back to this place! read more
