I really wanted to enjoy my experience at Cabana Club, but unfortunately it was disappointing from start to finish. The service was terrible, and the drinks were somehow even worse -- overpriced, poorly made, and definitely not worth it. What bothered me most was the treatment from the waitresses. It honestly felt like they only paid attention to male customers. The atmosphere has potential, but customer service can completely ruin a place, and that's exactly what happened here. I've been to run club for the past 2 months and I've come to the bar a couple times but for the New Year's party decided to go to Kevin and he hooked me up with an open bar package and he's been above and beyond being able to take care of me with drinks and getting my friends in in. Loved coming here for the dance portion on Wednesday nights but lately the floors have been soaked and I took a pretty nasty fall while dancing and couldn't walk straight for a week! A group of friends and I were meeting here to celebrate a birthday and we were able to reserve a big table inside. The staff was great. Making drinks was a bit slow as the place was packed because of a football game. Outside they have big TV screens and some heaters next to some tables and inside also has TVs. It was so cute with all the holiday decorations and the Harry Potter themed touches throughout to match the drink menu. I had the Hot Dobby and it came in a cute tea cup. After the game, a DJ played some tunes. There is room for dancing but most people were sitting at tables and around the bar. The food choices were varied. One truck has tacos and another one has sushi and there was another one but I didn't see what they had. Parking is free and they have a big gravel lot. read more

I went to this bar when they had their Harry Potter themed decor and as a big Harry Potter fan, I was honestly so happy. The details were so fun with banners, letters, little touches everywhere. The vibe overall is nice and relaxed. It's not a crazy party bar, more like a place to grab a drink, hang out and start the night it's like a perfect for a pre-party. The music wasn't too loud, which I really appreciated because you can actually talk. Outside, they have food trucks, which is a huge plus. I tried the sushi and loved it. Peaceful at night very romantic relaxed area you can really be cute here. It really does give a cabana ambiance inside and out. During the night the patio is closed. It was Harry Potter's theme and that was so fun. I asked the bartender to select the best drink on the menu and didn't hesitate knew already which that was. I only visited here once so far, but am excited to go back! I went for a run club on a Saturday over the summer and was glad to see all the available parking. We ran around the area which was not really a great area for so many runners on the road, but it was a great place to meet before and after. The small pool in the back is very cute and lots of people cooled down in it after the workout. I had an iced americano on the way out and the coffee was great! They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Can't wait to hang here for a day soon! read more

I've been to Cabana Club three times. I'm aware of how wildly packed it gets on weekends and have thus avoided it then and only come during weekdays :) Each time I came, I arrived at around 9 am and it's been pretty dead. PERFECT! Twice I was able to use a cabana for free to work outside and dip in the almost totally empty pool whenever I wanted. Today I worked inside the whole day, which is decorated lovely and has plenty of seating types and outlets. The menu is extensive- cocktails, mocktails, coffees and food. I have enjoyed their lavender latte and cold brew, and their aperol spritzs! Good chicken caesar wrap- it's $13 for just a wrap, but that's (unfortunately) pretty standard for Austin. There's always the same female bartender on weekdays, a little brunette, and she is lovely. She even brought my latte out to me in the pool area one of the days even though she didn't have to. I find this an absolute gem of a place to work- free wifi, lots of parking, and a really pretty bathroom. Will absolutely be back again. read more

Happened to pass Cabana Club at 9am on Saturday morning while heading to our accommodations when arriving in Austin. It caught my eye because there were a ton of people outside, like a day party but in the am! All week I was trying to get here to see what the hype was about. Finally stopped in on a weekday and it was dead. It was about 10am on a Tuesday for reference and there were literally two people inside. We did end up ordering lattes. Mine was pretty good but there was nothing going on that day. More disappointing was that there was no way to purchase a breakfast sandwich or pastry to go along with the latte. We snapped pics and chilled for a bit, but clearly we showed up on the wrong day. I can see this being a fun hangout in the summer, they have a nice pool area and deck. Maybe next time. read more

Wow what an amazing place. Free swimming pool lots of drink options and fantastic service. The entire staff is amazing. Our server, Sadie, was above and beyond. She was attentive, hilarious, and her uniform was professional. she even carried my half full drink to the trash after the sun melted the ice. I attended the "Full Circle x Nike Studios Jingle Jog" running event on December 15th that Cabana Club graciously hosted. Though I did not order any food from the club (they had a brunch buffet that looked amazing), the hosts provided some tasty and nourishing samples of beef jerky and tart Cherry juice by Cheribundi. We did some warmup exercises and then a 3-mile run through the streets and nearby trail. After the run, Fitcidence led a joyful, exuberant dance workout that left us all feeling great and energized. The pool looked inviting, but it was too cold to jump in. All in all, Cabana Club was a great venue not only for enjoying its amenities but for hosting workout events. read more

While I would NEVER step foot in Cabana Club's tiny 4-ft high pool, I do enjoy starting my weekend mornings with a coffee and transitioning to a bottle of champagne in the afternoons. Cabana Club keeps your social calendar busy. On an average workday, you can bring in your laptop, order a coffee from Progress, and work poolside. On the weekends, take a yoga or pilates class in the morning, and stay the afternoon to people watch inebriated tech engineers flex their money on Austin 20-year old influencers. The DJ is great, as he's the same one that DJs at the Bungalow in the evenings. If you're looking to rent a cabana, they charge $100/hour (does not include alcohol). read more

THE BIG: Coworking space meets bar meets pool. What a concept and I can see why this place is always packed...even in the dead heat of summer. Indoor area is airconditioned and decently quiet. Outside has fans that blow mist and a small pool to chill in. Parking is outside in front. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here on a Friday at 2pm, still needing to finish up some work and thankfully they have some fast wifi here. The outside space was crowded with people going in and out of the pool. There are cabanas for rent and waiters coming by to take drink orders. I hear the food is good and on Fridays, there are $3 draft beers from 12-6pm. If you're looking for something more quiet. The indoor area provides that, however it is a little loud (music-wise) to have an important call. Moreso casual heads down work. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall, I typically grab a beer during Fridays so my tab isn't too high. But glad that this place is here and looking forward to spending more time here. read more

Had a latte with vanilla and pistachio and that was amazing too -- there aren't a ton of places that have pistachio coffee and I've had a few that were bland, not here though! Also the ambiance is amazing. Great indoor and outdoor seating, and parking isn't an issue (at least during the week). Barista was very nice too. Fantastic, Cabana Club has the ability to blend a bunch of different vibes in one place. You can take a seat (inside or out) with your laptop and a coffee. There's all kinds of seating too. All of it clean, organized, and ok to get wet by the pool water and quick to dry. There are a couple of food trucks, order the sushi! There is also a bar too. The Mexi-Mule is delightful. The club does have spare towels if you forget your own which definitely helped when we went. Oops. Staff is nice enough. When we went it seemed there was a lot of parties going on. One I think was a run club, didn't expect to see that, but they had a DJ set up playing some jams, but then they started leading the crowd in a big warm up before they all took off. From the outside it might not look like anything special, but the inside feels like a well decorated, perfectly balanced vibe of coffee, co-working space and cocktails. The friendly bartenders can make all of your favorite espresso drinks in the AM and whip up some mean cocktails later in the day. They have a large back patio to chill and enjoy a bite from the food truck (full kitchen menu coming soon). Beyond that is a dope pool area and another full bar. Cabana Club is a really solid space and welcome new addition to Austin. (Fun) pool access can be hard to come by. I don't have a pool in my complex so I either use friends' pools or go as a guest to other pools around the city. What makes Cabana Club different is that aside from the pool, it has legit coffee, cocktails, and a space very conducive for casual working. I can easily see myself working from here, dipping in the pool, tanning, and then going back inside to reply to more emails. The pool area is very nice with tables and pool chairs all first come first serve, and the cabanas are available for rent. There is an outdoor shower, and a covered bar where the bathroom is in the pool area as well. I tried the Mo-jito cocktail because I was interested in how the "coconut milk mint foam" would be. As a fan of cream top cold brews, this mimicked the idea with a sweet, airy and light foam top to the cocktail. It was a really refreshing take on a classic cocktail, and probably a lot easier for the bar staff to make. For food, they have Grey's Kitchen and some food trucks outside. While I was there on a Sunday, there was a Mexican food truck, and a Sushi food truck. The Mexican truck was solid with really good tortilla chips, guac, salsa, quesadillas, and shrimp dishes. This place literally does it all!! They have events just about every night and appeal to people of all interests. The espresso martinis here are SO good. If it's cold (aka below 70 in Austin) the cinnamon hot drink they make will warm you up and it is delicious. The staff is consistent (not a different wave of employees every 2 weeks like many places) and they're all friendly and welcoming (except Chris). The indoor and outdoor space both have plenty of space and a variety of seating options. And your fur babies are allowed inside. The food truck schedule is a kind of hit or miss (more often miss) just because they don't seem to operate on actual schedules, but the bar has no control over that. I love that I can go to one great place for such a variety of things. This place is not even a year old yet, I can't wait to see what fun things they'll bring to the Eastside in the remainder of their first year. read more

Cute place, shady business practices. My boyfriend, a friend and I went for our first visit to Cabana Club. Called ahead and asked about how the reservations work. We were not informed that you do not need a reservation actually. Made a reservation for a daybed with Matty and he said he would comp it as long as we had a bar tab. When we arrived, Matty was not there and the hostess took us outside to the pool and sat us in a cabana. We sat down and ordered an iced tea and three cocktails off their menu. After 45 minutes, we decided that we weren't going to stay so we asked for our check. That's when the server said "you were told how this works right?" I said I'm not sure what you're referring to. She said it's $100 for a cabana plus your tab. I informed her that was not disclosed up front and also let her know what Matty told us when we initially called. No manager came out and she said the best they could do was comp half of the rental. They also conveniently added 20% gratuity as well as charged $13 for a carafe of iced tea when we only ordered one serving. All in, we were charged $112 for ice tea and three small drinks (yes their prices are lower, but that's because each cocktail is about 4 ounces total liquid). Sadly will not be going back here as this place just isn't upfront with their pricing. It shouldn't be hard to put clear pricing on your website and your menus for your guest to understand what you're offering. read more
