The install was excellent but after a couple of years the refaced cabinet doors started to show unusual wear and tear in places. They sent out their own employee who tended to agree that something unusual was going on. Cabinet Pro refused to talk to the manufacturer for me, it was out of warranty. I contacted the manufacturer and spoke to the owner. He replaced numerous doors for me at N/C even though I offered to share in the expense. He could not have been nicer and only wanted a satisfied customer. I currently need some touch-up paint, normal wear and tear. I have emailed Cabinet Pro and left 3 voicemails, all unanswered. The staff is apparently not happy with me because I complained and contacted the manufacturer myself, but to not return my emails and calls is very unprofessional. read more

My experience with CabinetPro was pretty seamless. I worked with Anaclaire as my designer, and while I had an idea of what I wanted in my head, she had wonderful ideas that I pretty much implemented across the board. My previous kitchen was nice, but the cabinets did not match and it was very dark. The process was easy, in my opinion. The carpenter came and made some adjustments (I replaced a few cabinets) while he took measurements. Jose did the bulk of the work on the refacing; he came early in the morning and worked hard all day. All of the individual contractors came to help with the countertops, backsplash and plumbing within a few weeks of the kitchen start. I was really without my kitchen for only 2 weeks. I was prepared for a much longer process and in full transparency, I do have a small kitchen. I am in love with my kitchen. It is bright and airy, and looks amazing. I found the cost to be reasonable. I would highly recommend CabinetPro. read more

Cabinet Pro re-gutted, redesigned, re modeled and transformed my one bedroom condo-apartment into a little castle! Work included knocking down walls, ripping out old bathtub and installing a custom stand up shower, ripping out my old cabinets (which were original from 1979) and installing premium solid cherry cabinets in a much more space efficient manner, knocked down my bed room closet and installed solid cherry doors with custom cabinets on top for space effective storage. The cabinets come down from the ceiling twelve inches and are two feet deep and seven feet across the top of the closet. All custom work. Its high and hard to get at but much better storage is there which is coveted in a 750 square foot living space! Rob sub contracted a floor guy, an electrician, a custom glass shower door guy and a painter. The communication with Rob was most excellent. Rob was the one who initially came out and gave me an estimate. The two main workers were great. Rob is a class act and a stand up guy. Thanks again Rob I am Loving my new space! read more

Worst contractors ever! I used them for a bathroom remodel that was suppose to take 2 weeks. It ended up to taking 9 months and they did a shotty job! They never showed up on time and were unprofessional. I had to pay another contractor to come in and finish the job. Don't use them...they're horrible!!! Recently had a kitchen cabinet upgrade, we used Cabinet Pro located in Northbrook. We replaced our 1970's cabinets with modern white cabinets, countertops and backsplash. We had Cabinet Pro re-face all the cabinets in 3 bathrooms and replace the counter tops in the Master en-suite. Anaclaire did an excellent job consulting with us on the design and the materials to be used. It took 6 weeks to get the materials once we finalized the plan and about 4 days to do the installation. They refaced our kitchen cabinets a few year years ago, and they never finished the job. The cabinet doors are constantly falling off and the kitchen counter they installed was crooked and the lamination is coming loose. We had Cabinetpro reface our kitchen. They did an amazing job and understood exactly what we wanted. Rob came out in the middle of a snow storm to look at the project and write an estimate. The estimate was far under another company we had spoken with and with talking to rob met our concept too a T. It took about 5 weeks to get all of the product in and about 4 days to do the entire job. Jose is a craftsman at his best!! His attetntion to detail was incredible and kept the jobsight clean. After the project was done, there was one drawer face that we didn't feel matched and Jose agreed with us, one call to Rob and he ordered a new one and installed it quickly. They remodelled our kitchen a couple years ago. Waited to see how things hold up before passing judgement. Kitchens can be expensive and always become more complex as the job unfolds with many different subs to deal with. Cabinet Pro gives a fair shake; nothing is ever perfect, but I would recommend them. Their installers and demo people are pretty versatile and that is a big plus. We had to keep a sharp eye on costs and we were able to work with them on range of high end to average ideas. As always you get what you pay for. We purchased our own appliances which worked out ok. At the time of completion a light fixture had not yet been purchaed. Months later when it was ready their electrician gladly returned to install it as promised without additional charge. They are Pros. read more

We recently had our kitchen cabinets refaced, and we're thrilled with the outcome. We worked wth Anaclaire, and she was incredibly knowledgeable and extremely patient while we tried to decide what to select. Her recommendations were perfect. The carpenter was professional, efficient and tidy. The tiler did a fantastic job installing our backsplash. He took the time to show us the different patterns we could use, and that was a huge help. It looks great! We had one small issue with the plumber, and I might suggest getting a couple of quotes from different plumbers before deciding who to use, but overall, we love our new kitchen and would highly recommend using CabinetPro for your refacing or new cabinet installation. read more

CabinetPro remodeled my kitchen-family room, powder room and laundry room including the installation of new hardwood floors in my family room, living room powder room and entrance way. The project included new recessed lighting as well. This was a big project and Rob worked with me to get me what I wanted at a reasonable price by suggesting cabinets that were cheaper than my original first choice. There were lots of choices of cabinet styles and countertops to choose from in the showroom. The new kitchen design opened up the room and gives it an entirely new feel. Buyer beware! Price was good, but expect shoddy work, poor quality products, surly contractors, and delays way beyond what was promised or is acceptable (think 3 months late and taking several weeks longer than promised). AND they caused an electric surge that fried several appliances. We had to pay extra for a painter to smooth the walls, putty corners that didn't match, dripping pipes, and poorly measured sink top that requires a Q-tip to get behind the faucet because there is no room for anything else. We had put off remodeling for years because of the mess, inconvenience and time usually involved. CabinetPro did a beautiful job in our kitchen in eight days, as promised. The work involved refacing cabinets and island, new counters, sink, refrigerator and refinishing the floor. Tom, the carpenter, was dilgient and skilled in installing our built-in refrigerator. The only defect was that the sub refinishing the oak floor did not adequately clean dust before applying varnish. Fortunately, this was a small, not very visible, part of the project. read more

The carpenter was clean and the cabinets looked great in the end. The main problem we had is that we always had to initiate a call to get an update on the estimated time and there was always an excuse but not a definite answer. This job took much longer than expected to start and didn't get done before Christmas as expected, started over 11 weeks after contract signing and finished after 18 weeks. Christmas was a deadline they said they could meet at the time of signing since we planned to have a number of guests staying with us then. The continual delays on estimate dates had more of an impact since we had two other kitchen jobs that had to be rescheduled twice and didn't get done by Christmas as well as a result. Additionally during the job, it was determined they had the wrong color side-panel which meant 5 1/2 days of open cabinets left sanded but bare and their contents still sitting around the rest of the house. Finally after the cabinets were put in, they again determined four cabinet doors needed to be remade due to incorrect measurements and an error in the installing. If you go with this company, just plan to follow up often to keep informed on the estimated work date. read more

I wanted to use a "big Box" company like Home Depot, Sears etc and got estimates from three. Saw the ad for Cabinetpro Inc online and decided to get one more quote. Because I had info from the other companies I called Cabinet pro and was able to explain what we wanted. They asked me to e-mail pictures of our kitchen with approximate measurements. The next day they sent me a ball park quote which was considerably less than the others. We drove to their showroom to establish that they were a "real" business instead of one man with a hammer and a garage. Wonderful choices and helpful young ladies. We made our choices and signed a contract. They came out a couple of weeks later (on time) and laser measured. They were able to change all our kitchen cabinet doors, cover the cabinets in matching skin and replace the counters and sink. They started on Monday and were finished on Friday, worked to the building hours (I live in a high rise downtown Chicago with a lot of construction rules) We love our new kitchen! This company came in On Time, On budget and we will use them for another condo we have. read more
