When we purchased our cabinets we had the option of paying to have them assembled upon pick up. The cost was less than $500 - a no brainer! Cabinets were ready & assembled for us upon pick up. This company is a NIGHTMARE to work with! We ordered kitchen cabinets from them and they sent a damaged frame. When we called to ask for a replacement they told us to wait until the full job was completed before requesting any replacement pieces. Once the rest of the cabinets were done we called to request the replacement and they stated that they would not provide a replacement because it was past 60 days of purchase. THEY told us to wait only so they could deny our replacement. The customer service rep even went out of their way to call the store to ensure we would not get a replacement! I cannot imagine a company going above and beyond to offer such terrible service. The quality of the cabinets we received were awful on top of everything else we've dealt with! It seems very different from what was advertised on their display floor, we have , dents and scratches in areas we hardly touch. So in regards to picking out your cabinetry and your countertops they are good at that no problem they're the problem comes in if you get the wrong installer of the cabinets I had this idiot that would make appointments to come over to my house and then not show up or tell me when's a good time to come over I tell him but he doesn't show up but yet he calls me but I wasn't by my phone because I was in the other room so that ends up being my fault and then when you call where you bought the cabinets the woman gets upset with you because you don't have nice things to say about him. The bottom of the cabinets the upper cabinets didn't look like a finished product to me. I guess I was expecting a flat piece of wood on the bottom to hide the bolts and screws. First of all the installer measured the cabinet over the fridge so they were supposed to return the old one and get the new one that would fit. well guess what the installer assured us he'd be back tonight to fix it and nit here. Checked my credit card, I was charged the full amount not including credit fir the missing cabinet and also charged fir an incomplete installation. be wise and be careful dealing with them. read more

This place is a joke. The manager, Kevin Klein, does not return calls after he takes your money. The install team, D'Agostino Residential Services, did horrible finishing work. They never came back to put in the trim around the bottom. Still waiting on replacement parts from a job installed in July 2020. read more

This was Clinton twp store in mi , paid for a measure, total waste of money, got a measure done I called 3 days later to set up appointment, not one time I called and left a request for a call back did I ever get one, I had to call until someone answered,I understand my kitchen is a bit tricky to get the lay out right, which is why I paid for the measure, went in for the planning, I was not at all happy with placing the stove against a main doorway, also discover the measure we paid 99.00 for was not correct one wall was off by 17 inches in her plan, again I called to question the plan and the wrong measurement, never got an answer why it was wrong from the measure or the designer, I was sent one more idea by email, I asked a couple of ideas if they would work, again crickets no reply, I am moving on and taking my business to a big box store , not willing to give my money to a company I can't even communicate with. read more

Very very disappointed ! I received damaged cabinets. They were also not installed correctly. The doors don't match up. The drawers come off the rails. I was told they would be fixed. The installer came out measured said he had ordered new doors. I have been texting him and he keeps saying they are coming it's been 5 months. I saved all my text messages and voice recordings and have a witness who was with me when he promised he would return and replace the damage doors and fix the ones that were not level. I saved a long time to get new cabinets and this is bad business. read more

it's unfortunate that my much anticipated kitchen renovation turned into the horrible experience that it did because of my cabinet purchase with Cabinets To Go on Hall Road. I myself being someone willing to be understanding of staffing, supply, and contract shortage would have hoped that they would deliver on the customer service and quality the promised, but they never did step up. cabinets were delivered and tossed, not placed, into my garage just before spring with freezing temps. Months later after having no success of having a contractor do install and ready to cancel my project we had an install date. With install came damaged doors and forgotten finished pieces still at the shop. Promises of coming back as soon as replacement doors come in took us to months later with my husbands time spent trying to get installer to even return calls. 4 months later we get someone to come replace damaged doors only to receive yet again damaged doors. Weeks spent again of my husbands time to get resolution and am told that after placing our counter tops on there is no possibly to replace the front face drawer under the sink which we were never told would be an issue. The two options we were given is to have a make shift solution or at our expense have counter tops removed so they can give us what we paid for to begin with. Their unprofessionalism, lack of interest to make sure they deliver on the quality of product and service, no sense of urgency to get a project completed and ease of leaving me to deal with a kitchen remodel that only went wrong with the choice of cabinet provider led me to want to share this experience with other consumers. I was patient and understanding and empathetic until I realized this is a company that did not care and over promises and under delivers because they are ok with doing that. I would suggest to look elsewhere for cabinets. You will make an investment with this company that will give you what they are willing to give not what you pay for. read more

Ordered new bar cabinets in November from Clinton Township branch. Design included custom panel for bar refrigerator. After paying in full, days later informed they couldn't fabricate a panel needed to change design. Installers arrived early December. Installed wall cabinets in wrong orientation and informed us they didn't have a print of the layout. Damaged walls removing and installing in correct orientation, then informed us the wall cabinets came with VERTICAL shelving, not horizontal. Wall cabinets also didn't come with piston hinges as requested to keep doors from slamming shut. Installer made 3 more trips to correct installation issues. Now the piston hinges hit the fabricated shelves not allowing wall cabinet doors to close all the way. I tried working with store manager Kevin K. but he keeps shifting responsibility to sub contractor. Adding to insult, we just received separate bill from sub contractor for plumbing work he performed poorly. Made this choice due to time constraints. Inexperienced designer, poor installer and lazy manager. read more

My husband and I first used C2GO in 2011 when we bought a house in Clawson; we went through Alex Dye, who then worked at the 8mile in Warren/Detroit location. We were SO HAPPY with that process so we sought Alex's help again last November when we were in the process of buying our new house in Beverly Hills. Alex did an initial layout for us for the purposes of getting a ballpark quote, but when we were ready to begin the measurement/fine-tuning process, we were unable to get their installer to commit to a time. Ultimately we took the layout & quote from the Dearborn store to this store, and Ron became my salesman. Ron was incredibly pleasant, nice and anxious to earn my business at first. He took all my calls, sent me emails immediately and was very responsive. He hooked me up with his "friend" for an installer who literally was in my house that very day measuring my kitchen. In the several phone calls I had with Ron I had explained the situation - we were without a kitchen, we had a preliminary design but no fine-tuning (we're not kitchen designers), our kitchen was gutted and ready for measurement. All in all, I was so impressed by Ron's hustle that I thought we were in really good hands. Installer measured my kitchen TWICE and over the next week or so Ron got me a final order/layout and I paid. Then everything fell apart. - When the cabinets arrived to be installed one of the wall cabinets was too big and would be extending over a window. Installer was bewildered, and advised me that clearly the computer had done something wrong. Installer assured me that he had spoken to Ron about it. But I never heard from Ron. - Three cabinets were being mounted flush next to either a wall, a pantry or a fridge panel and there was no allowance for door swing/door handle. Unacceptable. I mentioned this to Installer, who said I could order some 3" blanks for him to add in, and with some switching of two differently sized wall cabinets (including the too-big one mentioned above), we could make it work. - I called Ron a couple times to go over these changes with him but he was utterly disinterested. Not that I would've expected him to take any blame, but he was clearly bothered by my need to return this cabinet. A week was wasted until I pressed Ron to order the cabinet needed as well as the 3" trim pieces and paid over the phone for them. This added an additional 2+ weeks to having a completed kitchen. During this phone call I respectfully told Ron that I would not expect to pay a restocking fee since the return is happening due to no fault of my own. He told me he would not charge me a restocking fee since it was only one cabinet. - I took the cabinet into the store to be returned that weekend, along with my husband, and we returned the cabinet. The money was credited to my debit card, however I realized after the fact that I was charged a restocking fee. - Two cabinets - a wall cabinet and a base cabinet - were installed with the doors opening the wrong way (didn't make sense per the layout of the kitchen). I asked the installer to change it, and he told me the cabinets were ordered that way, as the door holes are pre-drilled. This tells me that Ron never actually looked at the initial layout that I gave him from the other store. - I have one extra, still in the box, fridge panel that is totally unnecessary, which I have to now borrow a pickup truck in order to return to your store. This also confirms that Ron did not actually look at the measurements or layout to confirm that everything was good. Long story short, it's been a very unpleasant experience. I was wowed by Ron's sense of urgency in the beginning of the process, but his interest died the minute the sale was completed. I am happy with the product, of course, however it's painfully obvious that Ron merely saw me as an easy sale and did not put ANY effort into making sure my kitchen design was adequate and measured to fit. I truly don't think he even looked at the layout to confirm that the correct cabinets were on the order list, that the door swings would be appropriate or that all pieces on the order list were necessary. ^^^These exact words were sent to the store manager, who replied a few days later telling me he would call me to discuss, and that I would receive a full refund for the fridge panel and the re-stocking fee. I appreciated that, but I never got a call. THEN, it turned out that one of the drawers in a base cabinet was missing a drawer side. I had to manually place a claim in with corporate, and it took TWO MONTHS to get this piece in. I sent two emails to Brian, the manager, asking for help, and got no response. DO NOT recommend. I flip houses for a living, and I like to put in quality products in my homes, that cabinets were absolutely amazing and looked great once in. The Sales guy was awesome the only problem I had was with the guy they referred for the install, they gave me 2 cards. The one guy was just a real prick with a German accent, and the other guy Tim DeLe, talked a great game,, so I haired him and he ended up being a total HACK.. and I had to spend way more money paying for his mess ups he refused to fix. He talked about how amazing he was, so I went with him, because the cabinets do not come put pre-assembled and I wanted someone who was familiar with the product.. end result was this guy totally hacked up my trim, ALL his miters were visibly way off,.. I had to point out that he installed the corner cabinets so close that if I put the handles on the drawers would bash off of the handles themselves... He left things that should of been anchored or screwed undone and didn't even clean out or install the shelves and then charged me 400.00 more than his original quote. .. Run away fast. Worse than a used car salesman, told that yes we could order and place on hold with out losing any money as they would not pull stock until our kitchen was done. This was because we are tearing out walls and realigning so we do not yet have a floor plan but cabinets were on sale. They wrote hold to not pull stock on order papers. Now they want to charge a restocking fee of $500 for something they were not supposed to pull and now we have to take them to court and dispute with credit card company as they did not honor their written promise. They say this is our fault. Apparently they can not read their own paperwork. Better cabinets elsewhere for less money , should not have paid attention to their tv diy shows pr. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The people leaving great reviews must be workers because I had the absolute worst experience of my life here. It took over 3 months for them to install my cabinets, and 6 months later I'm still missing pieces to my cabinets that were supposed to be installed months ago. The manager, Brian stopped answering my phone calls and didn't even care to fix the problems that I was having with my cabinets after they were installed. My cabinet doors are broken, a few drawers don't open properly. I'm obviously not happy that I spent almost $10,000 on garbage. read more

We started a wet bar project October '16, and to date we are still waiting resolution. What we thought was going to be a small easy project took on a life of its own. To begin, 3 of the 5 cabinets came damaged. We were told replacement cabinets would come in 2 weeks. We waited until December, only to find it had been sitting in their warehouse the whole time. As we started to uncrate the replacement cabinets, we noticed that the interiors were a natural color, while the original ones they sent us were black. More damaged doors.. By this time we are no longer dealing with the staff in the showroom. We are dealing with Anita Mc Dow and Irwin Johnson. We explained the problem and sent pictures but were told they no longer make the cabinets with the black interiors. Big problem...half of them are already installed. They promise to hunt down or make cabinets to match. In the meantime, our countertop install is being held up and pushed back. They send more cabinets around March after MANY communications. This time the doors come undamaged, but are a different design! They do not match the bottom cabinets. Apparently they quit making the original outside design too. More communication with Anita, our last was in May where she asked what she could do to make it right. We said we want cabinet doors to match or a refund of our top cabinets. She promised to send doors but that was May 11th 2017 and here we are at the end of July. We finally had to install the mismatched cabinets as I can see this wont get resolved. I caution anyone to think twice about dealing with them. This was a small project, what if a kitchen were involved? Can you imagine waiting for a kitchen to be put back together for 9 months? This is hands down the most incompetent company I have ever dealt with in my life. Today is March 21 2019, my original install date was August 15 3018, and it is still not complete! They have made appointments with me 4 times now and never showed to complete this project. They will not refund any part of my installation cost either! Which has to be paid in full to start the job. This company is pathetic, their cabinets are sub par at best, and their customer service is an absolutely joke! I feel like such a chump for ever trying them. If you're reading this before you purchase, please trust me and do not use Cabinets to Go! Look anywhere else because this is an absolute nightmare in every aspect.
