Never stay at cabins in Pigeon Forge. We arrived at our rentals cabin on June 27th. They don't clean their cabins. We stayed Indigo Moon . 1st we didn't have towels. Dishes were dirty etc... but the ultimate was the nasty mattress with fresh urine all over it. We had to sleep in chairs until someone would come a verify in the Morning after 1000am. Went to the rental office and was told by Susie McCarrell that in order to receive our refund we had to remove the post from the internet. Susie didn't care about the customers sleeping in on a urine filled mattress. So I removed so I could get my refund. Then reposted it.

The stains keep coming!

"Waterfalls Edge" cabin For full detailed review, visit Gatlinburg Falls Resort Facebook page. It's too long for Google reviews. This company has no regard for the health safety if it's guests, only how much money they can scam out of us all. Our bedding was unwashed and saturated with the previous guests bodily fluids, the dishes were crusted with old food, the dishwasher is broken with who knows what rotting inside (the smell was putrid), and the water smells like hot raw sewage. Paid an extra 250 for a romance package they switched out for another package without notice, then set up in the dirty kitchen and unsanitary bedroom. The entire exterior of the cabin is encased by cobwebs and dirt, reminiscent of a horror movie setting. The property itself is quite lovely with the waterfalls, too bad they've ruined the natural scenery with unkempt cabins and litter. No attempt was made to repair or replace anything during our stay or offer to move us to a new location (based on the reviews of others, being moved most likely wouldn't have resolved anything). We did receive two emails within three hours, eight days after check out, demanding we contact them and pay for additional nights that we did not request or book when we made our reservation. No minimum night stay was stipulated at the time of reservation, nor leading up to our stay, or duration of the stay, only over a week later. It took two hours arguing with guest services (after the demand for additional payment for nights not booked or stayed) to receive a refund for less than half of what we paid, when it should have been a full refund due to the deplorable conditions of the cabin. Ours is not the only experience like this, their Facebook reviews are filled with similar accounts. My goal with this review is to try and prevent others from falling prey to this company's greed and neglect. Beware, they also have 2 "sister companies" with the same cabins for rent.

Amenities posted for Love for Two
Carla S.

We decided to stay at Love for Two for our honeymoon. Amenities included were: Wi-fi, Jacuzzi tub, hot tub, pool table, fire place and stocked kitchen. First, know that you need to bring trash bags, laundry detergent, coffee and filters, and shampoo. They did supply one trash bag, dish soap, dishwasher soap, tp, paper towels and hand soap. I say this because we weren't sure what we needed to bring. Our cabin had a coffee pot and a toaster! The day before our stay I received an email about our tv needing work. No big deal, but they did notify us a day before our stay. We appreciated the heads up! So we went to check out everything. There were cigarette ashes on the floor beside the chair, and dirt on the floor. No big deal, I swept that up. Checking out the bathroom there was black mold/mildew on the floor. Needless to say I skipped my shower. I had no cleaning products with me and there was none there. We went to hop in the hot tub. Remember, it's our honeymoon. We were excited about the romance factor! Well, the hot tub jets didn't work. No big, we'll get it fixed and hop in the Jacuzzi tub. Filled the tub, and bet you not... those jets didn't work either. So we had to call the service desk again! Slightly annoyed we figured we'd just sit by the fire. They said maintenance would be up sometime the next morning. Went to get all cozy infront of the fire place. Guess what didn't work either. Yup. That's right, the fireplace did not work. It was late, we went to bed. Got up the next day and stopped at the service desk. That morning, someone came and fixed the hot tub. It still didn't work 100% right, but I'm not that picky and can deal with it. That evening the maintenance man came and looked at our fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. Apparently they were waiting for an okay from the owners to fix the jacuzzi. Also, they knew about the fireplace too. The maintenance man was wonderful and friendly. Unfortunalely he was the one who had to scrub the black stuff out of the shower. Pool it is! We had fun with the pool table, but I hope you're not a stickler. To shoot the ball from the outer corners, the back end of you stick has to be raised 90° not a big deal for us. We laughed it off. We wanted an unplugged honeymoon. Which was wonderful. Except we had to have Wi-fi because of my husband's job. I couldn't find the connection and called customer service to see if they knew where the modem was so I could restart my connection. She told me that wifi wasn't an ameniti. Had I known that, we NEVER would of rented there. That was a must due to him having to work every few days. A few emails here and there, but emails of importance. Literally everything my husband and I were looking forward to was a disappointment. We ended spending more time out of the cabin than in it. I gave them a 2 star because they did compensate us. I can't even say it's the owners fault. The cleanliness factor was passed by Brianna who did our inspection. Yes, they're waiting on owner approval for the jacuzzi but they could of notified us. This was a huge disappointment, especially for it being our honeymoon. They did offer me a 15% discount for our next stay. Even at 25% off our next trip I don't know that I'd be willing to risk ruining a vacation. I hope that of I do, that I can give them a 4 or 5 star review.

Poop on the toilets from previous guests.

Old papa bear lodge" is the absolute worst!!! My family drove 10 hours for these "luxury cabins" walked in to a filthy cabin that wasn't clean! We were charged an extra 200 for a "Covid cleaning fee" but the floors were sticky with unknown substances all over, the tubs had dirt inside we had to leave the mountains to get our own bleach to clean, The main bedroom bed was broken in half literally, there was poop on the toilet, dust and dirt everywhere, appliances in kitchen dirty and microwave dish cracked!!! NO CLEAN SHEETS, called GUESTCARE AND A MAN NAMED FRED HUNG UP ON ME AND NEVER SENT ANYONE We have kids and this was a horrible cabin and a waste of money! I wish I could leave 0 stars

Token AC upon arrival

Worst customer service ever!! Arrived at High Bear Nation and the air conditioning was broke the house was 86 degrees. It was cooler outside then in the home, immediately contacted guest service was advised they would put in an emergency ticket and get someone out 2 hours later no one shows, called back and was informed that had 4 hours to get there. I can tell you the 4 hours came and went. The company would not offer other accommodations or do anything!!! We had to leave and check in a hotel the home was not adequate for accommodations. 10:30 am the next someone from the company called to say they were working on getting someone out to look at the AC. WOW!! Over 16 hours later, they also offered no solution but to stay in an unbearably hot cabin. Very unprofessional company, under maintained homes. This was obviously it a new problem with the amount of wires hanging out of the units. The property was delivered uninhabitable, it want a mishap that happened during they stay. Additionally our check in was suppose to be 4pm but we did not receive the check in instructions or cabin address till after 5PM. Very disorganized and they don't care their affecting your vacation. Avoid this company they would not give a refund or offer another accommodation which we would have be en ok with. They just stole our money and didn't care!!! Horrible customer service horrible company!!!

That was 41 years ago but we spent time up here for our 40th anniversary this year - using them exclusively since we found them about 20 years ago. I think the ownership went thru change since we've been coming here but we exclusively and use them at least 3-4 times a year. Their special for last minute trips is incredible. After 20 years, 3-4 times a year (so we've stayed in most of them), each one has always been clean as a whistle. We have figured that we have stayed with them over 60 trips. At least. We've never stayed with anyone else the past 20 years! Our favorite place is at the top of the mountain at the water tower. However three of the four we always stayed at and liked the best, all but one was burned down in the Gatlinburg Fire of 2016. It burned down to their concrete footprint. They finally got one of them rebuilt and just opened back up so we are leaving Friday to go there. It's at the very top of the mountain and you can see for miles and miles. Yet it is only 5 min from the Parkway, behind Dollywood. You would think a cabin on the to of the mountain with its incredible view would be miles from the Parkway but it's only a short 5-8 minutes. I can never praise their staff enough. They are awesome people to work with. Some of our favorite restaurants we never miss are the Applewood for bfast, Guy Fieri's restaurant and arcade ( this is awesome and relatively new and great to go because there is a Crumbl and Ice Cream shop next door that are for that sweet tooth we always seem to get worse up there), Chop House, Cherokee Grill (Gburg), Ogles Farmers Kitchen ( I think this is the name. It right close to going in for Applewood. We've just recently found this and have been multiple times), The Pottery Barn Cafe is usually our first place we hit coming into town. There is also Paula Deens, Chop House, and Johnny Carino's. This is just for starters. Stay here and you won't regret it!!!

PROS/CONS-Smokey Mountain Memories-15 bedroom…read more Let me start off with the CONS: This isn't exactly a CON but something to be aware of, the roads are windy and sharp, and everyone seems to drive rather fast around the windy and sharpen curves. On some roads there are mirrors to see individual vehicles as you navigate the roads but not a lot. The family drove cars, and SUV's, which was no issue getting to the cabin, (but during the winter you may want to double check how you are getting to the cabin as far as what to drive). Once the family made it to the Cabin they were apprehensive to leave because of the windy, sharp curves of the roads. I would ensure my vehicle had good tires, brakes, and no transmission issues. The picture of the outside of the Cabin isn't what is was shown online. I believe it was an earlier photo, as it shows green grass almost like sod, and from the pictures we thought the surface to park was flat. It is an incline, we parked along the sides of the driveway and got 11 vehicles parked, it isn't flat as i noted above make sure you have good brakes. That was no issue for us , just something to be aware of if you have a larger family who all drive from all areas. There are 2 charcoal grills, this something we weren't aware of, from what we were told when i called, i was told the grills would be propane and we didn't bring charcoal, which isn't a big deal, it takes about 15-20 min to get down to the bottom of the mountain to Walmart. The pictures that you see online are propane grills attached to the cabin. Just bring charcoal if any out door cooking. Did not like the 2 Jacuzzi's that did not work sitting in the front/side of the cabin, it takes away from the cabin, in my opinion, it looks like they are permanent fixtures. We had a few maintenance issues/ door to the roof not opening water dripping from upstairs they sent someone to fix the issue quickly. That was great. PROS: Check-in had no issues. The Cabin accommodated our large family with plenty of space on the inside, 2 dishwashers, 2 large refrigerators, 4 microwaves, 3 stoves, 1 that the fixture had to be fixed, we only needed to use 2 of the stoves. The kitchen was stocked pretty well with what we needed to cook. Plenty of space to eat and move about and enjoy the mountains on the covered deck. No complaints. Bedrooms were spacious loved that they all came with bathrooms, and TV's no one had to share.. However there were 2 rooms that had no tv, they were the bunkbed rooms upstairs. The view on the roof top was beautiful you can see the city view with the added telescope and this is where the 2 Jacuzzi's are located. The 2 jacuzzis could have been cleaner. The indoor pool are was very nice, and a bathroom was located in the pool area. Washer/dryer was utilized, along with game room downstairs a plus. The biggest add on bonus that i did not see from the pictures was the drink machines, just like the fast food establishment this was a big plus, never ran out of drinks. Last but not least, we got visitors all 3 days, we stayed, the first bear we saw when driving up to the cabin walking up the road in front of our vehicle. The others made a guest appearance around the cabin. All in all a successful trip.

The cabin was comfortable enough- there are several different levels of floor so lots of trip hazards, some doors that don't close great, and the location is interesting. I wouldn't call it quiet- for our stay a neighbor was out shooting most nights and on the other side is a rooster that crows each morning. The beds were very comfortable. The water is extremely sulfurous- I would plan on brushing your teeth with bottled water. We were mostly at the cabin only to sleep and it was great for that. It is very accessible to the greater pigeon forge area. Again, the Bear Camp folks were great, answered our questions, and were very responsive so overall definitely positive. The facility itself was exactly what we expected it to be - a rustic lodge overlooking some beautiful mountain views. The wedding definitely turned out to be memorable, and that is the important thing! The only "challenge" with this venue is the next-door neighbors, who clearly have issues living in proximity to a commercial resort. This was made evident by the posted signs viewable from the rear balconies whereby the neighbors indicated something about the need for guests to keep noise down and be respectful because people live here, etc. Well ... these same neighbors were plainly resentful of the fact that normal party music was played at the wedding reception (music that properly ended at 10:30 pm) and were intent on underscoring the point by BLARING loud outdoor radio music until 2:30 AM and then starting up again at 5:30 AM so as to disturb the guests' ability to sleep. Needless to say, my wife and I were happy to leave this establishment bright and early the next morning. I get it, and it should come to no one's surprise, there are a few "Hatfield and McCoy"-types up in 'dem 'der hills. However, I do believe the resort has some obligation to deal with this problem in a meaningful way, for the benefit of all prospective guests.
