The gentleman we worked with was friendly and went above and beyond. We had our two dogs with us and they welcomed us to bring them into the lounge while we waited. Terrible experience, salesman was pushy and would not give straight answers, we asked multiple times for the numbers on our appraisal/trade-in and they couldn't show us anything. We sat there and listened to the salesman's list of things that cable dahmer does "different" but when told every dealership does that, he became standoffish and was not helpful. Salesman needs to realize it's 2024 and it's very easy to provide numbers close to expected payment and price. read more

Stay far away from this dealership. I have a 2016 escalade, and they replaced the transmission in June of 2021 with a new one that comes with a 3yr 100000 mile warranty. Fast forward to April 2024, they replaced my ac condenser and didn't hook up transmission coolant lines correctly, causing them to disconnect a couple of days later, blowing transmission fluid everywhere and causing transmission to quit working. They fixed the lines and added fluid, but the damage had been done. The whole transmission goes out a few months later and, of course, two months after the warranty expires. They will not own up to their mistake and will not honor the warranty and want to charge me 8000 for transmission replacement when it was their fault DO NOT do business with them. read more

Before it became Cable Dahmer, it was Ed Bozarth Chevrolet. I have purchased my cars there since the mid 80s. The last time I had an oil change when Ed Bozarth owned it it cost less than $60 for 5 quarts of synthetic oil and a tire rotation. My parents and I took off work to look at a RAV4. After test driving we decided to buy. On the website, the price said in big letters $18,000. When going over the car, the salesman informed us that the price was ACTUALLY 21,500 and that was only the price if we financed and traded in the vehicle. My dad had mentioned previously that he was NOT financing. Nothing was said about it. We said that we didn't know about that, and the salesman was extremely rude and condescending. He was saying "it's right there on the website". They obviously make the "lowest price possible" that has all those stipulations look like the actual price so people think they aren't getting as ripped off as they actually are. This dealership is outright racist Kenneth wells insinuated that because I was black I wanted him to lie to the company in a effort to repair my vehicle for free, in order to get out of repairs.He also suggested that I should by a car that's "more affordable for people of color", they kept my cat for a week only to take it apart and put it back together minus doing any repairs, and they gave me a loaner with the check engine light on and the car won't drive above 55 miles per hr which means I cannot drive it to and from work. read more

I'll go there for their service department but wouldn't buy a car there- as a car dealer they are just another example of "market value markups " and had the audacity to "explain" it to me - I who will not and have not ever fallen for that stuff. Only giving a 1 star because I have to give something for me to share my experience with Cable Dahmer Service. These people name their own prices and are inconsistent with their pricing. I had gone in previously to get my oil changed on my 2020 Chevy Traverse with Cable Dahmer and I walked out to go to work one day and noticed oil under my car. I had called my father over to look and they failed to tighten the oil filter.. that was the first instance.. then shortly after I began having more issues.. I had been alerted that vehicle battery charging system needed service. I dropped my vehicle off at Cable Dahmer on 2/5/24 shortly before they were closing with the understanding of they wouldn't be able to get to it until 2/6/24... I waited until 11:00am and had not heard a thing about my vehicle requiring me to reach out to find out what was discovered with my vehicle.. the service advisor informed me my alternator was bad and it would cost me $1,9xx to repair.. at this point I am without a vehicle have small children and have to have transportation.. felt like I had no choice so I gave them the go ahead.. after giving the go ahead I called around and explained my situation to several mechanic shops in Topeka only to be informed the pricing was extreme &/or they couldn't even begin to see how or why it would cost that much. I had already gave the go ahead and was stuck at this point. I got a call at 2:15pm that my car was ready that would be 3 hours after giving the go ahead.. When I arrived to pay for my vehicle I reviewed the ticket and notice I was charged $1,285 for labor. I questioned why labor was so much when it literally only took 3 hours.. I was informed by the service advisor that I was charged for 6 hours of labor at $170 an hour again questioning why when it only took 3 hours and then checking the math even 6 hours at $170 an hour should only be $1020.00 the service advisor told me I could speak with the manager whom came over and offered a whopping 10% discount and informed me that's all that could be done even though the math wasn't even correct to begin with and then turned around and charged me 3% back for using credit to pay for it. Advise don't just run to them to take care of your service needs on your vehicle they over charge, their charges don't make sense, and check your tickets before paying. read more

I called for an appointment & was able to get in the next day. I needed an oil change & had a concern as to whether my pickup needed new rear shocks. I sat in the waiting room for over two hours. No one ever advised me the status of the oil change until I decided to check on the progress. I saw the paperwork was waiting on the desk that indicated my truck was ready. They don't give senior discounts and charged a 3% fee for using a credit card. Needless to say I will take my business elsewhere. read more

New truck purchased as new had a dent in rocker panel at time of delivery. Manager offered to repair but no adjustment offered for damaged new vehicle. Dealership could not provide owner's manual at time of delivery. Dealership could not provide both keys at time of delivery. Sales person indicated that missing items were ordered. Vehicle was clean and filled with gas at time of delivery. Staff was friendly and fairly time efficient during sales process. Update: Took the truck into Cable Dahmer to have the dent repaired as promised by the dealership. When they delivered the vehicle it was still dented and rather then repair the vehicle as agreed to, they had attempted to simply pull the dent and surface apply touch up. Extremely sub standard work and contrary to the agreed on repair. After several un-returned messages to the dealership, I was able to get one of their managers agree to send me a check to cover the estimate for correct repair at a more trustworthy body repair facility. After several calls to the manger, the promised payment has yet to be received and he is not returning messages. Probably more to come on this....... read more

I went in to purchase a larger suv. Started off by the salesman questioning the amount I was offered by another dealership because my car was a "sedan". Then he didn't want to tell me the price of the vehicle I was looking at until he could figure the numbers on my car. He then disagreed with my current payment and said it was impossible given what I paid for my car. I was not allowed to test drive without him. He told me specifically where to drive. While on the test drive he recommended I put $12,000 down on the Tahoe. Then proceeded to insult me by offering me $7,000 less than the previous dealership. This was the last straw for me. Never ever will I return to that dealership for anything. Wes was the only reason I came there in the first place. Cable Dahmer definitely needs to train their salesman a little better. Had an agreement on a car that I ordered in December of 2021 with Cable Dahmer Chevrolet in Topeka, KS on a 2022 ZL1 Camaro. The agreement was I would finance the new car instead of paying cash and they would NOT add any kind of market fluctuation fee. This way the dealer can profit not only on the car sale but the money they would get for financing and I would get a most wanted ZL1 Camaro for sticker with NO market fluctuation fee which is up to $10,000. Here it is the middle of May 2022 and it still hasnt been built. Now I have been inquiring with other dealerships who either have one on their lot or have one being built. Its funny that all these other dealers are getting this car built but my local dealer cannot. Well I was informed that more than likely I would have to try and get a 2023 model built since its the middle of May now. Remember other dealers are getting theirs made or in transit. The very slick and unethical sales manager informed me that if we have to modify the order to a 2023 there would be a $5,000 market fluctuation fee added to the price even though we had a hand shake agreement on this topic. If I could rate with 0 stars I would. This sales manager gives a new meaning to a typical used car salesman. Needless to say I requested my $5,000 down payment back and was told it would be a while because their home office cuts those type checks. This was for a deposit I was told wouldn't be cashed and just paper clipped to my order form. I really wish Bozarth would not have sold to this unethical dealership. Now I have to go to KC to do my new car shopping. It will be worth it because I dont get to listen to their lies anymore. I am planning on trading in my truck this summer as well. They didnt care they were losing about $140K i was planning on spending. Greedy as they seem they would ratyher gig me for an extra $5,000. So much for buying local. I had an appointment with the service center for a basic oil change. Upon arrival I was told that there would be a nearly 3hr wait because the service center had received quite a few "walk-ins" that morning. I was SUPER frustrated that they were not prepared to service my vehicle in the timeslot that I had taken the time and steps to acquire and I needed to be at work in less than 3hrs so I could not afford to wait. They have delivery options, however, they would not be able to enter my work parking lot without a badge so this option could not resolve the issue that they created. Get it together Cable Dahmer Service Department!! I've been a loyal customer and would love to get my Chevy truck serviced by you but I'm getting fed up!
